I have problem with Equaliser and Sound effect of stock music player after updating to ICS. When I change equaliser from Normal to whatever rock or pop, the quality of music sound is so bad. i don't know how explain but the sound seem like the radio sound when there is no frequency detected. Equaliser and Sound effect work as normal until I restart my S2 and one day later it have problem again. I already tried to restore factory setting but didn't help. Can someone have any idea how to fix my problem please?

After upgrading to ICS on KIES my sound quality of my music started giving me problems. when headphones are plugged in the vocal part of the music is very terrible but the rest of the music sound like normal. it's like the vocal part of the song is turned down or "washed" out. has anybody found the same problem ??
did you check out with the equilized options available. Try to change the equalizer. available in "music>settings>"

i have problem with aac music files , on pc music play without problem , but on android music on low frequency hear the carcle like bass maxed.
Hey all, just been playing with the equalizer settings with various apps (mostly Spotify and the in-built Samsung music player) and can't see that the 14khz setting are modifying the sound at all ? And fiddling with the 60Hz option just makes the sound thinner if anything. This occurs with all the wired headphones I try.
My Nexus 4 doesn't have this problem - 14kHz increases high treble, 60Hz add bass as you'd expect.
Anyone else have this ? Is this common to all Mega's, a problem with just mine ?
Bass boost not working
I also have this problem on the Mega. I can't get Bass Boost or Equalizer working in Pandora. I have tried a number of Bass Boost programs that work on other phones but don't seem to work on the Mega. Any ideas anyone?

i test Apollo,Google Music Player,Player Pro ... All these apps volume is higher than powerAmp volume
i uncheck DVC don`t works.

I have got this problem when i use googleassistent. Reboot not help my. But some time if i get phonecall, then focus switched normal. I thinka this problem with sound focus duck mode.
This might sound as a weird problem but I am really going crazy because of it. My set of earphones work fine in PC all the time. They work fine when I am listening to music in Player Pro music player. When I watch a movie in MX Player using the same earphones, the audio skips/breaks in between a lot. When I remove the earphones, the audio plays perfectly on speaker. I tried all the toggles - h/w acceleration, s/w audio, custom codec and everything but all in vain. I tried dice player then. But it is the same in that too. I am really fed up of it.
I was on CyanKang 4.3 ROM (based on CM 10.x) earlier and on OmniRom 4.4.2 at present. The problem resides even after switching rom. I have tried with different set of headphones too. The problem persists even then. I have tried different video files and the problem persists even then. Can anyone help me out?

It is also skipping while listening audio but very rarely.
Vlc player should be working.
Did you try it after a fresh reinstall? Before restoring.
