Hello,
I've tried to install a custom rom ([ROM] SE X10i MM TEAM MiUI 2.3.30 ML), but after installing, the phone didn't boot, stucks at SE logo. I can't start xRecovery, and if I try to start in recovery/flash mode, the green led appears, my computer recognizes it, then after 1-2 secs it disappears and loses the USB connection, so I can't start in recovery mode! And the SE PC Companion restore mode don't works.
Sorry for the bad english.
What does the pc companion say?. Have you tried to reflash your x10 with flashtool?

I can't use flashtool, because I can't start my phone in recovery/flash mode. I push the back button, then plug in the usb cable, the green light appears, the flashtool recognizes the phone, after 1-2 secs the green light disappear and the phone loses the USB connection, and the flash tool says "Error flashing aborted.".
The PC comp. can't download the update and it says that I have to visit the support site.
I did factory reset and formatted all the caches before installing the rom.
So, I was able to start it in recovery mode. But the PC companion still not working. When I try to flash with FlashTool, i get this:

Try to flash the stock ROM via SEUS (it will guide you step by step). Then root your device, install Busybox and xRecovery.
If you still want to have a custom ROM installed, make sure folders: system, data, cache & sdcard are mounted in xR - boot into xR, choose Partition Tools, mount all the folders. Then install the ROM.
Hope that will help you.
Greetings
Ohh, thank you very much, it worked!

Ok, I've searched and searched to no avail and the problem i am having is that i when i connect my phone it is automatically in flash mode without holding the back button . When i plug the phone into the usb the LED light stays solid green even when disconnecting from the pc at times.... if i have SEUS running when i first connect to the pc it is detected in flash mode, but every time i try to recover/update it always fails, and i am having the same problem in flashtool (v0.2.9.1) nor can i access xrecovery. The battery isn't the issue i have 2 extra batteries with a wall charger so power hasn't been the issue. I've looked at a JTag for it cause it seem like its probably out for the count but for that kind of money i might as well buy a new phone. Can someone help me please if they can??
Also...If i tap the power on button it only flashes the green led once without it being connected and if i hold the power button it flashes the green led light and vibrates a little harder than it normally would when it tries to power up.
Did you try reseting the id ports? and reinstalling the ggsemc drivers?
if not go to the sonyericsson folder,in all programs, also if you cant remove the drivers,go to system32/drivers and search for ggsemc.sys and delete it. Reboot and try to install again.
Also you have to have the latest flashtool, and pc companion.
What OS is in your pc/laptop???
I'm runnning Windows 7 64-bit on a desktop, everything is up to date, and i'm running as administrator on the programs though i didn't find that driver you mentioned in either folders. i did however uninstall the id it had it as from device manager and had it reinstall. I've also tried running windows in debugging mode.
Ok i just tried the newest flashtool, and it sees it when i connect but soon as it sees it for some reason it disconnects immediately apparently because it doesnt see the phone afterward. ill try getting another usb cord just in case thats the problem, at the same time though im wondering why its stuck in flash mode???
ok this is what i get everytime i use flashtool.

Hi,
My X10 mini (E10i) was rooted some months ago.
I decide to install miniCM7.2, so I succesfully unlock the bootloader, then kernel flashing appears to be ok, but when I reboot it, it show a new big logo, and after a while, a kind of animated background was visible. But it loop indefinitely on this animation, freeze, screen become blank, then reloop ...
I can't reboot it, I can't remove the batterie (it's hidden into the device)

Re-flash to stock.
Make sure you garbed the correct downloads.. re-read instructions.
unlocked bootloader? While in bootloop zone, press and hold power button + middle button.phone should reboot, and u can go to recovery and install ROM
Again, how to reflash in the current situation ?
The good news is that flashtool detect the phone, but I can't reflash because I can't shutdown the phone ...
Do first things what i say, if that not work, u should reflash to stock rom with SEUS, with repair mode.
I miss your first post. In fact I wait all the night that battery become empty, and run flashtool, push foward and plug. I probably wait 5' that the phone has enought energy, then flashtool detect the phone and flash it with the stock kernel.
And it's works !!!!
note: the colored screen animation that was looping, was in fact the Sony Ericson logo presentation during the boot

Thanks. This has worked to reinstall a ROM on my SE Xperia X10 Mini
Hey there,
I have a similar problem here, but I can't solve It.
Did a Hard Reset by pressing the Power key and Home Key. I also tried to click the Reset button under the phone cover near the IMEI codetag thing.
I have tried to use the X10FlashTool, SEUS (it only says that i have the newest software already)
When I try to start the phone all i can see is a black screen and nothing else.
Any more solutions i can try?

Dear All,
I beg your help for solving the following problem (already browsed for similar topics, no luck).
Here a brief history of the mess I have been doing:
I had installed Cyanogenmod (Worked)
I had flashed back a Stock ROM (ST15i_4.0.A.2.368__GENERIC_(1244-2098).ftf) (Worked)
Even though I knew that was not a good idea, I updated the software (as requested by android) (Bricked)
I have tried to re-flash using the same Stock ROM has worked before, with the result you can read below.

The Symptoms are the following:
Device not booting, when pressing the power button the phone vibrates for one second, nothing happens. The green light blinks.
When connecting the phone to the PC, it immediately starts the flashmode
When trying to connect it in fastboot mode (blue light) nothing happens. After releasing the up volume button, the phone connects in flashmode
When trying to use PC Companion, I get a window asking for unplugging the phone, remove the battery, insert the battery again and reboot. It does not reboot
When being connected with the PC, the phone exits and reenters the the flashmode each 1 minute.
I know I am just the N-th noob asking for help, but any hint is highly appreciated!

Luca

Hey Someguyfromhell,
you made my day, my mobile phone is alive again
There is still one question, is there a solution to allow the updates to be installed again? Maybe by relock the bootloader or using the PC Companion?
Thanks a lot again!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16659481&postcount=33 and look in the post for D) Relocking.
Seems, that if you used test point method, you can also relock via S1tool.
After that you can reflash stock firmware.
Almost same symptoms
Hi, I also think I've bricked my st15i.
What I've done:
-Unlocked bootloader
-Rooted
-Flashed custom rom
-Everything was working
Then with no reason, the phone started rebooting. It managed to boot and after 10sec - 1min it restarted again.
To solve this I:
- flashed stock rom and it stopped rebooting but as soon as I plugged it off the usb it rebooted and could not boot (it was looping sony logo and back).
- flashed other stock firmware, the same results
- now when connecting it to pc it goes directly to flashmode
- I can enter fastboot mode as well
- When pressing power button green led blinks
- tried flashing stock firmware again and then both the xperia_relock_bootloader.ftf and Xperia 2011 Range_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf with no results
- when connected to pc it goes only to flashmode (Can't make it to start)
- when pluged in the socket it starts looping up to sony logo
- when not pluged at all when I press power button, green led blinks
I hope you can make any sense out of this because I can't, and I've been trying solutions the past 36hours!!
Please...help!!
Hello everyone, I am using sony ericsson x10 mini mobile phone. I want to install custom ROM cyanogen 7 gingerbread. But I am facing problem while booting this in recovery mode. I have tried the following.
downloaded custom rom for xperia mini and copied in to sdcard
installed ROM Manager Premium (not purchased, downloaded from google search and it is working fine)
installed root explorer
S1 tool
Rooted from superoneclick
downloaded xRecovery and copied into system folder
Flash tool - showing bootloader unlocked, and dont know how to flash phone.
msm7227 - used for unlock boot loader
I have rooted my phone successfully, all above things did successfully, when i am trying to boot my phone into recovery mode then it is not boot in that mode instead it boots in normal mode. What I am doing when phone starts and sonyericcson appears then i continuously pushing button many times but it boots in normal mode. So what I have to do to boot my phone in recovery mode. I have read and tried many guides in your forum but nothing works. Please help me.
Use FlashTool to flash a custom kernel (many cKernels haves recovery included, like nAa kernel). Follow these steps:
Download the ftf file of the kernel.
Drag it into the Flashtool window.
Another window will appear, then power off your phone and connect it to USB with the Back button pressed.
The flashing process takes less than 5 seconds, disconnect your phone when Flashtool says "Flashing Finished".
All right, now you can enter to recovery
Note: If you don't want a custom kernel, you lost your time unlocking the bootloader
I have tried to flash my x10 mini, like I have downloaded the flash file .ftf and with help of FlashTool_0.2.5 done flash my phone. Now flashing displayed some error and after 10 - 15 seconds I disconnected my phone but now phone is turning on. So I want to know what should i do and can I able to turn on my phone again. Please help me .
EDIT
Phone is stuck in boot loop at just before sony ericcson LOGO appears
when i attach it to pc to flash it displays

Hmm... I think you're not connecting your phone correctly, FlashTool should say "Device connected in flash mode" when you connect it correctly.
Are you sure that you're following the steps that I mentioned before?
Hi, you were right, i was not connecting my phone correctly in flash because battery connector was not connected properly. That's why my phone was booting. Now I have restored my phone in stock ROM which is downloaded from website. But the problem is I am unable to install custom ROM on my phone. On my phone android 2.1 has installed when I am flashing with new kernel ( E10_nAa-11_2.6.29.6-nAa-11 ) then it stuck into boot loop at sony ericsson animated logo. That's why I have to again flash it with stock ROM to make its working. I think this kernel is not compatible with android 2.1. I want to know is there any other way to install custom ROM on this phone means with the help of Flash Tool like installing stock ROM. If yes, them please provide me cyanogen 7 firmware stable version. Thank you...
Yes, you're right, custom kernels are not compatible with Sony stock ROM.
I recommend you MiniCM ROM, to install it follow the next steps:
Download nAa kernel, MiniCM zip file and GApps zip file. Copy the zip files into your SD.
Flash nAa kernel.
Enter to the recovery (pressing several times Back button when nAa kernel logo appear).
Go to full wipe/factory reset option. Wait for the process to finish.
Now, got to install zip from SD card option. Seek for the MiniCM zip file that you copied before.
Wait for the process to finish. Go to the same option, selecting now the GApps zip. Wait again. The recovery options will appear once again, go to Reboot now option and wait (the first boot will take a while)
You will lose all your app data when you make a full wipe, so you should consider to make a backup (Titanuim backup i.e.) if you don't want to lose all that.
I you still having troubles, send me a PM
Today I tried to install the Techdevil Rom on to my Xperia X10.
First i copied the techdevil rom over onto my Sd card in my phone, then I booted into CWM recovery, I wiped the data and factory settings, I wiped the cache and then I wiped the dalvik cache.
After that I installed the techdevil rom onto my phone from the CWM Recovery then clicked on the option to reboot the phone.
The phone loaded up with the sony ericson logo and then went onto the techdevil logo.
The phone will not go past here.
I can not get back to the CWM recovery and I cant flash it ether.
Sony ereicsson flasher binary program recognizes the phone and so does the sony pc companion.
I cant use pc companion as the xperia x10 is no longer in usb mode and im not sure if theres a way of putting it in usb mode without being able to get on to the phone.
Im pretty sure that the problem im having is because the phone cant find the firmware, but I cant get access to cwm recovery so I dont really know what to do to get past this problem.
Ive taken the battery out, sim card, memory card, turned it off and on, but it still comes back to the techdevil logo.
Any Ideas anyone? Id really appreciate the help if anyone could spare the time.
ok .... you are on unlocked bootloader .. this means that the steps that you should do is :
flash the kernel provided on rom thread with flashtool ... that gonna gives you the ability to enter CWM .... that should be enough to boot up your phone
or you can enter CWM ... wipe data - cache - dalvik cache ....
install rom again to make sure that everything is ok ....
flashtool wont let me flash any part of the phone.
when I click on flash, then go to flash mode, it gives me the firmware to flash, and to the right theres a drop down box with kernal, loader and s1 boot.
I then click on ok to flash the xperia x10.
flashtool then tells me to unplug the phone, power off the phone, press the back button and plug in the usb cable.
I unplug the phone and the only way for me to turn it off is to take the battery out. I then put the battery back in, press the back button and connect the phone.
A green light comes on my phone and then flashtool says:
20/016/2013 20:16:38 - ERROR -
20/016/2013 20:16:38 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted

20/016/2013 20:16:38 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
I then go into help and click check drivers and i get:

the xperia x10 wont let me back into CWM
If im going about it the wrong way what steps should I follow please?
Thanks
is that the one you talking about ??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846760
i think it is so .... are you on locked or unlocked bootloader ??? you can check with s1tool
if you are on locked bootloader then you cant flash custom kernels so you cant install this rom till you done unlock
if you are on unlocked bootloader so you can continue with this :
first install the file in drivers folder in c:/flashtool/drivers
then download the kernel provided in rom thread and copy it to c:/flashtool/firmwares
click flash ... your phone should be off ... choose kernel file that you downloaded should be shown to choose to flash it ... then press ok and connect the phone in flash mode ... hold back button when plug the cable into pc ... when it starts flashing release it ... after it finishes unplug the cable ... then you could enter CWM and install the rom again
Yes thats the one im talking about
Im unlocked on bootloader and ive done the drivers, and copied the firmware.
Ive clicked flash and follwed what you said to do and the flashtool comes up with:

Then the xperia x10 just returns to the same techdevil bootscreen and wont let me get back into the CWM recovery.
i think you have a problem maybe with your usb port or cable ... because i see in that log that the device keeps disconnected itself ...
maybe you should flash a stock firmware 2.3,enable debugging and unknown sources, root it, then install the kernel you want first, then keep pressing back button when you see kernel logo to enter CWM then install the rom again ... hope that may help
help
you have to flash kernal in that techdevil post.and then install techdevil rom.then its ok
if you have problem then msg me.
if you using various kernal struck at sonyerisson logo.you have to use semc debranded kernal in that post that is slove your problem
Restock using pc companion/ flash stock generic via flashtool. Then flash the kernel.
