anyone know if I can get the microphone "button" on the headphones with mic to work? It works fine on my ics phone, but for some reason it doesn't work at all on the tp. Note: its the headphones with the single button, not the volume control

I just purchased an HP touch pad Bluetooth keyboard, and was wondering if some one could help me remap the Bluetooth buttons to work on my phone or if its even possible . Would appreciate any help or advice.

I found this article:

Might be more work than what you're looking for, but seems like it works.

Hi,
Could some please tell if it is possible to configure SIP in Prime(not about apps like Skype)? I can from my ICS in Nexus S. But couldnt see the option in Prime. Am i missing something!!!!

Found the answer. Installed CSipSimple. Nice application...

hate to be a noob but could you explain what that app does?
Im using grooveIP to make free calls from my tfp via google. It works great and all it needs is your username/password
SipDroid is the best app available IMO. Cis, 3X, and all the others don't work the best and aren't persistent, loose sip all the time when doing other things or if screen is off...

Don't know them sadly, I use pbxes with Google voice for sip via sipdroid. Works perfect on my tablet too.

The easiest and best way for this is to buy groove IP from the Android market and use it with your Google voice account. Set up is a snap and the quality is very good..nobody has been able to tell yet that I was using my prime!

I purchased GrooveIP and got absolutely awful quality and played with the settings nonstop between me and my roommate (calling her over 20 times).
I just ended up getting a refund for it.
I just wanted to know what is that icon that looks like headphones is. I think it has somthing to do with me not being able to hear my calls.... Help lol

Looks like the phone thinks you have your headphones plugged in. Try rebooting and see if it goes away.
Didn't work... I just reflashed my Rom...

Do you have anything under accessibility in the main settings? Just a guess...but I've seen something like that before.

I don't have anything on. I even reflashed my Rom a few times and cleared data... I'm scared lol

try blowing into the headphone jack :/ thats very weird maybe something has made contact put your headphones in and take them out see if that changes anything
I don't think its the headphone icon. I think its the voice command icon

This is what the icon really is. Headset with microphone. It's not headphones. I would really love the help. Lol this is killing me

Headset icon.. Comes on with my stereo wired headset and stereo bluetooth headset

Download headset toggle as a quick fix and see if that works

Settings>call>turn off hearing aids
And if none of that works get a pair of headphones and keeping plugging it in and out, happened on my old tp2 just keep putting them in and out until it fixed itself.

Get volume+ or audio manager..... or both... they help if you can't hear on skype
actually it is the opposite, the sound is too high and the +/- volume control on the left side of the prime do nothing with skype.
i will try Volume+ to see if that will solve the problem.
Just upgraded from vibrant and my beats solo Mic cord is not working with this phone. Anyone else get there's to work? When I plug it in its registered as a earphone device that may be the problem.
It's not compatible man bit annoying u can still answer calls with it gets but no volume control
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Woow unbelievable.. there better be a fix for this soon or some 3rd party app. Not even wired headset fix worked. If I plug in the cord all the way I can hear the person on the phone, but the person can't hear me. If I don't click the cord all the way down "sometimes" they can hear me through the Mic, but I can't hear them. Can't believe a phone in 2012 is not compatible with such a huge commercial item.
Because it sucks and no one wants to use it anyway

Does that allow you to use your beats during phone calls? I could care less about using my phone as a music player, because i have another device for that, but using it as a headset for phone calls is crucial
I can answer calls with mine no problem

I tried shutting my phone off and it still doesn't work. I tried using the beats mic on my ipod touch and it works so i know the cord isn't bad. Also the headphones with the mic that came with the galaxy S 3 work as well.
