I wonder if this was the ICS update? Anyway it failed.
What rom are you running?

Maybe it is 2.3.6 but I check for updates weekly and if that was it I would have thoughth at I would have seen it sooner. I am not on it yet. Tried it again last night but it failed to install again.

UCKK6 has been around for nearly a month as an OTA at this point, and even longer as a leak.
Why do people insist on always posting that they got a damned OTA? 99% of the time they just got what everyone else has had (or has been avoiding) for a month.
Try it again. Sometimes you need to do it twice to get ICS.
Too many people are trying to download it at once.

I JUST DID IT, but damnit, this OTA update broke basically everything, including my buttons... phone doesn't work, wifi doesn't work either... if I wanted a useless phone I would have gotten a Galaxy Player not an SII...
Hence why people avoid it. I never did the ota update but when using one of unnameds older gingerbread roms versus one based on 2.3.6 you can see the battery drainage and lag differences.

I tried to check for any updates (ICS? ) and got a reply back saying I could try again in 23H 55m. What does this mean? Anyone???
My guess is ATT is annoyed people keep checking for ICS that they started tracking us. OR it means ICS is coming .......LOL.

Nothing new. Their update method has always only allowed you to check it once per 24 hours. However, there's a way to force it as many times as you want; I forget how (Google it with "XDA" behind your search terms). The question is though, why you would want to update via AT&T. There'd be more than an unlikely chance of getting some mangled BS. I will never understand those who prefer official updates; at most, you should be excited that our guys can get their hands on it, as opposed to installing it.

At first I thought to myself. I'll just use a custom rom until official update. Once I flashed I never turned back. Would never even think of flashing even to official ics which will be loaded with bloatware and worst of all...touchwiz...

I'm waiting on AT&Ts ICS so a dev can get ahold of it. I can't go back to stock, way too much bloat. Not a huge fan of the i9100 ports either so I'm just waiting on AT&T.

Sine I have been a long time lurker, and just registered I had to post this in the Q&A section, and not in NRG’s post, so I apologize for this. I did my due diligence and searched for the answer to this, and the question hasn’t been asked since the beginning of March so I thought I would see if NRG himself or someone else could answer the question on how to get Hulu to work with these ROMs. We all know that it is due to the ads being blocked, but from what I do not know. Anyone have any ideas?
T-mo HTC Amaze NRG’s March 10th, 2012 (3.10.2012)(GB) Rom flashed.
Thanks

I realize that it does not work "out of the box" I am using a modded version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1449110.html The issue that I am having is mentioned in the above post, I just have no idea what Ad blocker NRG puts into his ROMs, and how to disable it

If you're on a stock, locked ROM, I'd be hesitant to make any significant changes. From what I've seen around these forums and on the Motorola forums, the last couple of OTA updates have failed for many folks that have even slightly modded their phones; e.g. by editing build.prop to change configuration settings, removing stock google apps like music, etc.
You'd probably be better off just freezing anything you don't want with Titanium backup.
Of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong...
The title says it all... What im trying to achieve is to make the status bar semi transparent, and center up the clock. Im currently running scotts rom, I kindof like the stock look. Any help would be appreciated!!!

It will teach you the things you need to know to begin to LEARN to theme any rom.
The status bar is in SytemUI - after that you need to learn and experiment. Every ROM is different, sometime the files are in different diretories.
And on top of that each time the dev releases a new version you have to extract the .apk and re-theme it in case they made some changes.
It's a good starting point,
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS make a backup in recovery before you flash your themed apps, cuz even though I think I know what I'm doing, I've bootlooped them more than once!!!!
Another great tool is software called beyond compare.
Break apart the apks, put stock beside a molded stock one and see what was changed. You'll learn a good bit doing that
