Hey, what needs to be done to port this to other devices? I have a droid 4 and it installs, I can see the app, but alas, no widget in my menu. Should I be able to modify the apk in order to port it over?
***EDIT: Nevermind, I was able to find a universal version of the apk:

Isn't the defys flash xeon? If so it can't he used as a flash light, because it needs to be charged.

I use the Vanilla Froyo ROM from HandlerExploit. Tesla LED works, but you have to set it to "Motorola Droid" in the settings. Not Motorola Droid Froyo.
I'm using Flashlight, free and simple. Working faultlessly.

I am running Froyo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977159 on my Defy, and the "Motorola Droid Froyo" setting is brighter...

if you read the first page then you would know that it WAS a rom that was posted bbuuttt since it contained an apk that isn't allowed unless through market, the mod took it down because it wasnt in compliance with the rules here. im excited for it to be reuploaded because i would like to check this out. i too remember this dev from my g1 days

I'm wondering if it is possible to put a custom boot icon for the defy. I hear that you need to create a sbf file. I've seen tutorials for this, but for different models. I'm hoping that someone here has already done this for the defy and has some words of wisdom for us.

For the ones that have the apk but aren't able to install: manually place it in data/app (with root explorer), change permissions to rw-r--r-- and owner and group both to 1000 system just like the other ones there...

Hey guys, after two weeks, I came up with this! Certainly useful for a school student like me!!
There are a lot of calculators out there in Google Play. All of them perform arithmetic functions to give you the desired result.
My app is different. Suppose you want to calculate the area or volume of a figure, you know the given values, but you don't remember the formulae to find it. AVP Calculator is the solution to that problem. Loaded with 7 2D figures and 5 3D figures (and their types), this app helps you to calculate area and perimeter of 2D figures, and volume and surface area of 3D figures. AVP = A(rea)+V(olume)+P(erimeter).
The 2D figures include:

+Parallelogram
+Rhombus
+Triangle (with types)
+Trapezium
The 3D figures include:

Simple calculations of trigonometry could be added....but i can't insert all the tables of natural sines, cosines and tangents....that would probably mean another app....

Good to know that you guys liked it. Actually, i really wanted to develop an Android app on my own as i knew some java. Then I came across a problem that many other school students like me were facing - remembering the formulas of mensuration and calculating from it. So i thought of this idea.
