Don't know how my self. But have you tried the menu, home, back, or the search keys. Or maybe both volume up and down at the same time. If these don't work I would take the phone apart and see if I could push power from the board or jump the switch to select it. Warning this could really Jack it up if you don't know what you are looking at. Hope this helps.

I couldnt charge my battery because of my phone bootlooping. I did get my battery charged though. I tried clearing data through fastboot but it did not work

Ok i used fastboot on linux so if your on windows it wll be a little different. you will have to have android sdk to do this.
All you do is in terminal go to the directory you have fastboot in and then type
sudo fastboot -i 0x22b8 -w
enter your password it will run
then sudo fastboot -i 0x22b8 reboot.
thats it. the -i 0x22b8 is to specify the vendor id so fastboot can recognise the phone. so this should work on most phones if you can find the specific vendor id. i am not sure but i dont think you have to do that on windows.

Flashed the Broccoli nightly rom I can no longer boot or get back into CWM. Computer cannot start the device. Can someone please help me? Tried all the tools and methods. It won't work unless I can get the device to start when connected to my computer.
RIght now when I press Vol Up and power, it brings me to cold boot linux. Cannot select anything or do anything. When connected to comp, it says device cannot start Code 10. Don't know what else to do. Help please
Looks like you're having an issue similar to mine. You'll need to setup ADB and push another rom to your Prime.
Can you get into recovery?

This thing is completely frozen no matter what. I can power off and on but that's about it. The device won't start according to windows. I'm praying I won't have to RMA or something.
You shouldn't be getting that screen pressing vol up and power.....that should be vol down and power, then doing nothing.

Hi,
where it says press down to change mode you should be able to highlight the middle icon. If so that is fastboot and you have a chance.
I had a very bricked Prime and it only got that far. Then I followed this post.
You must download the fastboot and adb from the links given. I had some from elsewhere and they didn't work so well.
Also, I am not an Android hacker and I think that the dd command is somehow dangerous. At the end of the day, on my machine, I'm back with AndroWook and latest Motley kernel
Best of luck.

Thanks let me try now. I hope it works. How did you get the computer to recognize the prime? Do I need to enable asus sync?

So when your device turns on its in a recovery loop right? You try to reboot and it goes right back to recovery?
It's ok don't worry, we will get it fixed. If that's what your problem is its referred to brick 1a in the unbrick your prime sticky thread.
We just need to setup ADB if you haven't already, and run one command. PM me if you need some help and ill try my best to get you through it or remotely connect to your computer to help you.
I highly suggest TWRP recovery after you get rebooted.

This is what I did while in CWM. Below is a copy of an insert from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24923189#post24923189
Anyhow, so after you have that version installed:
1. Download "ROOTED 9.4.2.21 CWM compatible signed US version"
d - h . s t / r 4 4 -> WITH NO SPACE! (This is from the Primeval: The STOCK stock rom) Thread.
2. EXTRACT IT to the same directory where your ADB is! We only need the BLOBFILE from that zip folder!
3. Once you have the files extracted just run the following on your Command line:
adb push blobfile /sdcard/ ---> Its going to look like its not doing
nothing but dont worry its doing it in the background after 401 or some
seconds the command line will returned to you with a message like this:
1275kb, dadadada...
4. VERY IMPORTANT!: enter:
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/blobfile of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
(Same as the previews step it will take forever but it will work dude!)
5. DONE! at least this is what worked for me man!
Im so happy now my Asus is freaking Brand NEw again! i was JUST about to through this garbage away but im so happy "dklue" gave me the BLOB concept idea! heheheh i guess i learned something new now..
the thing is the computer is not picking it up i tried diffrent drivers and still nothing i try doing ADB Shell device not found in order to do some commands i have to have it mount and thats the problem what ever i do wont move nothing so basicly is still on CWM only reboot and back again to CWM
Hold power and vol down to boot into CWM. Then you can do the blobfile push. It worked for me

Still trying to fix this I now have no recovery and just get the two icons wipe data and fast boot or it just keeps trying to load a Rom that isn't there so it sticks on the main logo screen if I could get it to show in windows that would be great but now I have no recovery I'm not sure how to even get it to install anything once I do !

As long as you have the fastboot logo, there should be hope. First, you will need to do whatever you can to get your computer to recognize fastboot mode. In order to do this, click on the fastboot icon on your prime and then plug your usb into your pc. What does windows say? Is the device showing in the windows device manager?

It shows up but then says failed to install driver will try it on different pc,s see if it works thanks for the replies seems fairly easy
Ive found on my device that it sometimes requests two different drivers. One for adb/fastboot, and one for mtp. I just cancel the one for mtp as they are not in the naked driver set, and windows then detects another different device.

Okay, you're half way home! The reason why nothing shows in adb is because fastboot and adb are two completely different interfaces. When in fastboot, your device will be expecting the fastboot command only.
Now what you will have to do is find a recovery that is in the blob format. Cwm would probably be okay. Twrp would be good, however the new version requires the nvflash version of the bootloader.
Once you find the blob of the recovery you want, place this in the same folder as the file fastboot.exe
It should be in the same place as adb. If not, place the blob somewhere easy to remember.
Then in a command prompt, type
fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery blobfilename
If you placed the blob in the same place as fastboot, then the above will be the blob filename, or better would be to include the path as well.

I was trying to s-off my HTC Amaze. When I reached wire trick, my first attempt failed and ControlBear told me that s-off failed.
I tried again and suddenly ControlBear stopped detecting my phone. I looked on my phone and it looked like bricked.
I unplugged USB cable and tried to switch on my HTC Amaze but failed. I also tried to log into bootloader by pressing Volume Down + Power but phone did not turn on. I replaced battery, tried to charge the mobile but in vain.
When I put my phone on charge with either USB cable or wall plug, not even charging light turns on.
Now I am unable to turn my HTC Amaze on. I have also tried HTC Unbricking Project http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1627882 but it does not detect my phone.
Please help me!!
I am S-ON, stock ROM GB.

You can write the custom recovery to your recovery partition using dd in an android terminal emulator from the play store. You would need to know which partition holds your recovery.
For MY device (your partition is different) it would be as followed in the terminal emulator:
Code:
su
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/customrecovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p21
/dev/block/mmcblk0p20 is the partition that holds my recovery on my device - yours will be different!
You can also use this method for the boot.img towards the boot partition as well as data to data partition, and so forth.
If you have CWM and you were smart enough to create a backup of your device, then I would write the custom recovery to your recovery partition, boot in to CWM, and restore your device with your backup. Then, reboot, plug device in to your computer, allow the computer to reinstall the drivers and hopefully at this point you should be able to establish connection with adb/fastboot again.

Because right here according to your quote you mentioned that you resetted your device, lost connection to your adb. Only time you can use ADB is when your phone is running. Only way you can confirm if you lost connection with ADB is if your phone is up and running, you open up command window on pc, then run 'adb devices' and if nothing returns then you have no connection. Otherwise, there is no way to confirm if you lost connection to it. So by your quote above, you made it sound like you got around your bootloop problem but could not connect with using ADB and no longer had CWM on your device.
Try to be more clear next time lol.
Have you tried using fastboot instead of ADB?

Your phone has a bootloader. You need to access your bootloader, select fastboot, plug your device in your pc, open up command window, then type 'fastboot devices'.
If you get your device serial number returned back to you then you have connection. If it returns blank, then you do not have connection which at this point I will not be able to help you.

I do not know if this would work or even the steps, but you can download the stock firmware from here: www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_left_v4_sib?ie=UTF8&nodeId=201596860
Also the ????????????? Besides your device from "adb devices" just means you need to install the driver for it. That should not be too hard to find out how to do. But really I think you'd need the fastboot drivers more. But in the past I have fixed a bootloop by just looking at the logs to figure out where the crash is coming from via adb logcat, then fixing that issue. But since this is using xposed it'd probably be too complicated to fix manually. Don't ask me for drivers tho cause I use Linux.
Note: the firmware update downloads as a bin file but it is just a zip file. A fastboot update might actually work with it since it is signed by Amazon.
Something like:
Wipe your device. (only if necessary)
fastboot -w
Update your ROM.
fastboot update

I've gotten into fastboot on this device. I think it was either "adb reboot bootloader" or "adb reboot fastboot" that works. Keep in mind when in fastboot mode the fire hd6 screen is completely blank.

Think that you need a fastboot cord to get into fastboot. Just what I've heard.
