[Q] Headphones for mw600 - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
i have a sony ericsson mw600 bluetoothg headphone.the headphone cord s broken and i can hear sound on only one ear...is there any in-ear headphones with short cords similarly to mw600 headphones..

Short cords?
Only thing you can do there is buying the same earphones you had, from a Sony/Sony Ericsson dealer (Mobile accessories)
However... if the cord length isn't that important, and quality is more of a priority, I recommend either one of these:
Creative EP-630
Sennheiser CX300
These are made by the same manufacturer (Fosters, Some Japanese manufacturer), but are branded by several companies, not only Creative and Sennheiser, so all the talk about one being better than the other can be taken with a pinch of salt.
They do however differ in the cord and hardness in the buds, as the Creative one has a softer cord and softer buds, and the Sennheiser one have a stiffer cord and slightly stiffer buds.

You can also buy HPM77 (bundled with W995) and use only short cord, they are basically the same as MW600's.

Source for standard 8525 wired headset?

Is there a source for the standard earbud headset? I want to cut one up to make a 3.3mm stereo adapter with the angle usb/audio plug portion and I can't find them anywhere.
Help!
It would just be easier to buy a prefabricated one from Brando or some other online retailer. I just got mine in today and it is great. It is a 3 in 1 so i have the standard USB mini for charging, the 3.5mm for headphones, and the HTC one for my headset. It would just be simpler and less time consuming.
I appreciate the thought, however, I'm a tech and prefer the nice compact angle connector and want to make a very compact light weight adapter instead of the bulky 3-way. I'm suprised that there seems to be no way to get a stock one easily.
Edit; HTC just sent me this number for US Parts, they have all the stock parts, Buds, Y-Cable, USB Cable, Battery, Rear Batt Cover. Headset was $16.99
"Hello and thank you for contacting HTC America. We have a new Accessory line set up to help our customers! They can be reached at 1-888-716-3594, 9am – 6pm EST. Please give them a call to see what is available for your device."

Accessories & Connections

I'm an XDA newbie, though not a stranger to PDA's (have had Axim X3, TRG Pro and PalmPilot).
I got my unit 2nd user as I needed a phone and PDA combined, but not enough cash for a new one.
I haven't got a Stereo headset for listening to MP3's.
I have seen the connector on the top for the handsfree unit and I have the mono mic and earpiece with 2.5mm plug; but what are the other connectors around the outside by the headset jack for? Is there a special adaptor for stereo?
Also, has anyone come across a good 'universal' charger at a reasonable price? I have a nice little universal battery charger (4 x AA) which has the USA flat pins as standard but these fold flat onto the unit and allow UK 13A or European 2-pin plug-top plates to be snapped on. Something like this for the XDA IIs would be ideal as I sometimes have to travel abroad.
Now if anyone's also come up with a *folding* Desktop USB cradle that would be really handy...
Look forward to hearing from you all

Best 3.5mm earphones?

I am looking to buy 3.5mm earphones for the wing, what do you guys recommend?
Don't know about the ones they sell right now but I bought some cheap Sennheiser earphones and they're cheap and sound simply amazing. Mine are really good! Do you have a usb-to-3,5 mm adaptor? I bought one on Ebay so I could use my Sennheiser. The HTC headset is horrible not like the original headset of HP which is pretty good but it doesn't fit.
Lol, I use a pair of $7 specials from Wal-mart. They are panasonics with a decibel range of 15hz-25khz. Whereas the standard is usually 20hz-20khz, so not a bad find I guess.
in my opinion sennheiser is the best producer...
not cheap but best quality!

Wired 3.5mm Headset w/ boom mic

It was surprisingly difficult for me to locate this. Outside of PC headsets, which typically have separate mic and headphone jacks, wired boom mic headsets are almost all 2.5mm. I didn't feel like messing with an adapter (one more thing to lose), and I was considering just splicing a 3.5mm jack onto a 2.5mm headset, when I found this:
It's a Cellet EP35BX. It has an answer button on the ear piece that purports wide compatibility with phones including the CDMA Touch Pro2 (I have the Verizon version). It has the boom mic, it has a detachable ear loop (for those of us who don't trust in ear earpieces to stay steady) albeit an uncomfortable looking one, claims to have some sort of wind noise reduction tech and the boom is flexible. The only two things it's missing that I would have liked is a mute button and a volume dial. If I like it enough, I may try and splice those in someday.
I realize the market for wired headsets is small, and apparently the market for wired with boom mics is even smaller, but just in case anyone else has the same hankering I did, there it is. The image is linked to the cheapest buyer I could find. He has an Amazon store too, I used his standalone store so I could pay with paypal. It's normally $15+, but at the above it's $4.80 + around 3$ shipping.

Headphones won't plug into Spigen Slim Armor Case

So I use a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones, I have the Spigen Slim Armor Case and it's headphone port is far too small for the headphone's to be connected.
I'm looking to buy this because retailers like Raidoshack don't have anything similar.
I was wondering if anyone had the same issue and what their solution was.

You have three choices, as far as I can see.
1 Different wired headphones
2 Bluetooth wireless headphones
3 Use the Micro USB output instead.
I have used method 3 successfully. I bought a Micro USB OTG cable, a USB DAC and a headphone amplifier.
The USB DAC was the UD110 http://stoneracoustics.blogspot.co.uk/, now in a version 2 and the amplifier was a Fiio E5 http://www.amazon.co.uk/FiiO-E5-BK-E05-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0026RJQJ6, now superseded, but there is plenty of choice on those depending on budget. The OTG was a £2 Hong Kong ebay special.
There are combo DAC and amplifier devices, such as Fiio's E07K http://www.fiio.com.cn/products/index.aspx?ID=100000012071912&MenuID=105026002 that look like they'd do the trick and be a more elegant solution than mine.
Err... make that four options;
4) drill out headphone jack hole in case to fit the jack!
Get a adapter off ebay or in best buy an extension.
