Only Fruitcake works? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so I rooted and RoM'd my phone a long time ago with Cherryblur which apparently is no longer supported or updated. It has been so long that I forgot what I did and did not do to get cherry on it. Yesterday I spent most of the day researching how not to brick my phone. Today after doing everything I could find, I am stuck at the motorola screen. It is unlocked on the moto screen, has fastboot and adb installed, I can get into recovery and what seems to successfully recover the cherryblur install just results in a bootloop at the custom animation that is past the motorola screen.
I was trying to flash CM7 (tried neutrino as well) non nightly when this happened. After spending all day on here bouncing around while I was at work I found a fruitcake that seems to be the only thing that will allow my phone to boot which of course I cannot send the link to. Its titled [Fruit Cakes] XDA Re-Release [feb\18\2012] if you need to see it. What am I missing, I have clearly searched and searched these great forums (I do love to research, but find I'm at an impasse now) and am not sure what I need to do to proceed. That fruitcake updated my phone to 4.5.91 and I'm pretty sure I was 4.5.2 from the Cherryblur previously.
Thanks for any help!
Update: After getting fruitcake to work, I figured maybe this fixed my previous issues and tried to install CM7 again. Same story, not moving past the first Moto screen. So I tried recovery of the fruitcake and now the M screen comes up, waits a bit, then looks like it's going to load and starts to flash for about a second on, then off for 2-3, then on and so forth. I reflashed fruitcake after this and it is still working as a new install.

You are probably only softbricked. Do you know what "recovery" software you are using? If you are using romracers or one of the better respected recovery software packages, you should be able to use fastboot (if you have a windows machine) to wipe the relevant partitions on your phone and start again. Essentially, you will want to reinstall cherryblur (or install a new ROM - Neutrino, Nottachtrix, CM9s are all excellent) from your sd card. To do this, you will boot to fastboot and run "fastboot -w" from your pc. Then boot to recovery, and wipe cache, and dalvic for good measure, then install cherryblur or another package from the zip file. This will hopefully square you away and get rid of the boot loops.
My guess is that you did not wipe your partitions completely before attempting a new install, and may be having problems with ext3 vs. ext4 formatting between rom versions. Good luck to you.

Thank you for the reply!
Originally I'm pretty sure it was CWM, through the process of backing stuff up I installed Rom Toolbox from market and that seemed to have changed something? (Not sure here...) The text changed color from what I thought was white to blue and it looked a tiny bit different. The only thing I did not do was the fastboot -w, but I did download the link from [Batch] FFW - Fastboot Full Wipe and ran the fastboot from there, which was supposed to do a full wipe from what I read. Fastboot was previously installed on the phone.
I downloaded the 1.1 version which apparently may not be able to wipe the webtop, though when watching the text during the wipe it seemed to go through. Would you recommend me going to romracers, is it possible that my recovery software is borked somehow or just not compatible with the newer roms? If I got to RomRacer will the process of doing that just get rid of the current recovery software I have on the phone or will I run into issues? As far as the dalvik and cache I did run those, though the instructions for the CM7 said to do that after the install which felt backwards....
Oh yes, and I can't reinstall cherryblur, that rom is gone - you can't even download it anymore. I am doing this because I recently purchased a lapdock and the cherryblur was not doing so hot on it so looking to install a good clean rom (with a nice GUI) that works well on the lapdock as well. Yes, I will put an OC'd kernel on it as well, battery life has never been more than a day on my current rom and I am reading that the newer ones have over 1 day life on them so you could say I'd be used to the battery drain on the 1.3 kernels.

I see...that's frustrating. I think given your situation, I would probably not attempt to go from Blur to CM (at least while attempting to get the phone running again). If I were in your shoes, I would do the following...other more knowledgeable folks may steer you in varying directions, but I have been in your shoes before, and this should work. I am assuming you have use of a PC...if not, this won't be helpful.
1. Install ROMRacers recovery using these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204500
2. Download Nottachtrix 1.3.1 to your SD card using your PC if necessary, and you will probably want to download the webtop 2.3.6 at the same time. These can be found here: http://www.nottachtrix.com/forum/
3. Boot into fastboot (hold volume down on power up, until fastboot appears, then hit volume up, and use a DOS prompt to do the fastboot commands through the USB on your PC), and do a fastboot -w, then fastboot -reboot.
4. This time boot into recovery by holding volume down on powerup, and hitting volume down seven times (I think) until you see the word recovery, then hit volume up.
5. Use recovery to wipe cache partition, then go to advanced and wipe dalvic cache, and then select factory reset/wipe data. Some of these steps may be duplicative, but I am a belt and suspenders kind of guy.
6. Now go to "install from sd card" and select the Nottachtrix build that you put on your external SD, and make selections using the cool Aroma installer. Once this installs, you can install the newer 2.3.6 webtop (if you need it).
7. Reboot when complete, and you should have the latest stock build in working order, and then you can repeat the process to install Neutrino, CM9 or whatever. Feel free to fire back any questions.
Good luck to you, and if this helps, please hit the "thanks" button!

Ill give this a shot when I get home, darn work blocking the download links for mediafire..... The fruitcake is driving me nuts, no notification bar (my biggest complaint) unless I use ADW launcher, which has for some reason no way for me to get into my texts..... Broken apps, and a real stock feel that is just making me grit my teeth lol.
Can't wait to have a nice ROM on my phone again. Glad the fruitcake got me back up and functional though!

So far so good! Had the notification bar problem like others with the 2.3.6 issue and found that fix (disable email notifications....). When / if I can 'thank' I will! And will keep you updated when I get the time to flash another rom.

Good news that you are back rolling again. Let the ROM flashing addiction continue

So, CM7 is pure sexy - and an OC'd kernel to 1.3 makes me so happy in both CM7 and Nottachrix. Wish I would have done it sooner, I wouldn't have been spending so much time searching for a new phone because my atrix was annoyingly laggy. Lag? What is that? Also, undervolting is AMAZING for battery life, for the first time since owning the phone I did not plug it in last night and even though my usage was in the light to medium area, im still at 66% after 22 hours off charger ! Can't wait to play with CM9.

[Q] Problems with GB based ROMS

So this time I'm going to be a little preemptive. I ordered a GTab like a week ago, spent the time waiting for it to get here doing a ton of reading so I could go ahead and get it flashed right away. It got here and I immediately ran into problems. I got CWM on there no problem and first flashed [ROM-AOSP]G-Harmony Gingerbread 2.3.3 with Honeycomb elements(UPDATED 4/17) with no problem. Didn't like it so tried to flash the CM7 nightly (which I have running on my evo and hero) and it kept getting stuck on the black screen with that just had "android" written on it really small. Since I hadn't anticipated running into something like that, I did even more reading. Decided to try some more roms and see if I had similar problems. Ran into similar problems with the vegan GB except it would hang on the powered by the "gtabdevs" screen or whatever it said. Vegan 5.1 or whatever the other Vegan one is I could get booted up fine though. So I read some mroe since I really wanted CM7. Discovered that I might need to re-partition, so went into CWM and repatitioned to what everyone was saying was the correct settings. Still a no go and got stuck on android screen. So after even more reading I kept seeing everyone saying NVFlash. So I found it, downloaded everything, read the sticky post on how to do it like 4 times before trying it, then gave it a shot. Put the tab into APX mode (vol- and power) and flashed everything and then when it was done, it was stuck in the APX mode. Very irritating considering I had only had it for about 6 hours. Anyways, sent it back and am getting a new one. It will be here tomorrow morning.
Sooooo, after that long winded explanation of everything, here is my question... How the **** can I get CM7 on my tab without wrecking it again? I did a ton of reading, and nothing I had seen helped at all. Everyone says wipe this and wipe that, or mount these then wipe those, or nvflash then do it and so basically I'm just not sure what to do. I WILL NOT use the nvflsh again and risk getting the APX loop, so any good advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I just email walked my sister through installing CM7 on her new gtablet.
Have CM7harmony7.02.zip (or whatever.....7.02 is latest stable release....there is a newer nightly though if you prefer that), the gapps.zip on your computer.
install Clockworkmod recovery on your tablet like you did before.
Boot into CWM and partition sd card, 2048 for first partition and 0 for the second one.
attache via USB to your computer, mount usb option in CWM and copy the ROM.zip and the Gapps.zip to your tablet. Eject tablet from computer (USB eject) and unmount in CWM.
- wipe data/cache (factory reset)
- advanced, - wipe davlik cache
install .zip from sd card
(install the ROM, then choose to install .zip from sd card again and install gapps).
Reboot.
Make sure your tablet is NOT running OS 3991 (very unlikely) or 4349 (possible though unlikely) before doing any of this. (ie...boot tablet out of box and check it's OS version in settings).
Thanks for the walk through. Hopefully it will go smoothly this time around. I'll post back tomorrow after it gets here on if it worked out or not.
If it does have one of those 2 versions on it, I assume I just use the down grader from the thread taking about those 2 versions?

Correct, downgrade and then proceed.
Even though I'm 100% sure that at some point of me trying last time that I did in fact do all of those steps, it was a no go.....But this time, I'm sitting here watching the CM7 boot screen
Thanks a ton

[Q] Please help me figure out why my home launcher(s) keeps starting itself over--?!!

I'm begging for someone to help me figure out what's going on with my Vibrant...but first, I've got to start out by admitting that I'm a total noob at this stuff--as much as I TRY to read/learn, I just don't seem to "get" it...I just wanted to make sure to make that clear before I tried explaining what my phone's been doing.
Okay, so, I updated to 2.2 the day it came out (months ago) & I'm rooted...(that's about as far as I've had the guts to go with it--I've never flashed a ROM or do anything else, simply because I was afraid I'd screw something up)...anyways, lately (for probably about 3-4 weeks now) my phone has dramatically slowed down, and now my home launchers (I've tried LPP, ADW, GO, & of course, the stock one) & some of my settings (mainly, the tones on my alarm clock & my ring tones) all keep resetting; my home screen will go blank and it takes several seconds to restart again...
I've done factory reset at least twice, I've uninstalled/reinstalled all the home launchers--even tried uninstalling all the other ones & just using the stock one...keeps happening. I've tried switching out my SD card--(I've got a brand new one in there now)--still nothing...I'm not sure what else I need to do--?
Could anybody PLEASE help me out before I throw my phone out the window--??!! ... THANK YOU!!!
I'd flash a new ROM. Don't be scared. Good luck!
Are you using a task killer? You might be inadvertently killing your launcher
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
it's being killed. Either from a task manager (boo) or more likely it's just ran out of memory. Are you playing pretty heavy games? Plants vs Zombies makes my ADW EX reset, also the other game from that developer... it does too.
Could just be an app that is a hog. Any certain apps you run often when it happens? Notice any certain apps draining the battery? You could try installing watchdog.. it looks for apps that are using a lot of memory.
if you question certain apps, you could uninstall and see.
when i was on stock 2.2 my notification volume reset itself from full to about half everytime i got a text (or sent 1)
hasnt on any custom rom iv'e been on
id odin back to stock and clear out some memory
I'd flash over CM7. The battery drain issue JUST got solved (nightly 39) so it's battery is on par with 2.2 stock now (or better!). Broken GPS but that's the only bug.
Performance is 3-4 TIMES faster in EVERYTHING. Yes....that's TIMES. It feels like an entirely new phone. Also, it looks much better than anything you'll see from stock....with many customization options for theme. Try it.
Flashing now is SUPER easy. I literally can flash CM7 on your phone in about 2 minutes (provided I download it before).
Simply go on Market and get ROM Manager
Flash Clockwork Recovery from ROM MANAGER.
Download latest CM7
Put CM7 file on phone memory
Reboot into clockwork recovery
Install CM7 from clockwork
Wait till phone boots.
It can be useful to make a backup from Clockwork before you flash so if u **** up, you can go back. No harm done.
I had originally downloaded advanced task killer--but I uninstalled it months ago; I've also uninstalled anything that seemed to be eating up memory...but, it does seem to stay low anyways; I don't have anything that runs in the background, however, that I haven't always had running back when it was working okay--? I'm not sure what I'm missing though...
And, yes--I'm SUCH a chicken about flashing another ROM, simply because everything I've read on here has pretty much "scared" me out of trying it! I've downloaded ROM manager a few months ago, but (and I don't remember exactly which part I had the issue with) I tried to make a nandroid & it wouldn't let me...so I pretty much gave up--but, now that I'm having these problems, I may go back & read everything & (hopefully) try it all again...so, in other words, Stay Tuned--(in case I need some help! haha!)...
Don't be scared.
Nandroid backups are made in recovery. Use ROM manager to flash recovery. In recovery after reinstalling packages and getting green or red recovery use the backup and restore option to create ur back up (that's ur nandroid). This flashing situation is really easy if you read. These are good guys here if you need help they will be more than willing to help you. Good luck!

Yes just post questions if needed. The procedure like I said is really simply and the benefits are huge. But do read some stuff, it's always good to know it
Okaaaaaay...so, I'm just now (yes, a month and a half later) getting some time to sit down and attempt to "fix" my phone... I ODIN'ed back to stock 2.1--but now, I can't get root...?! I've copied update files from XDA into my phone, which, I'm assuming I've done correctly...??--(I told y'all I was a noob)...then, did the whole push the volume keys + power button maneuver--but when I tried to re-install packages, it tells me it's not there or they can't be opened...I've tried re-doing all this MANY times today without any luck...
Now, originally I had used SuperOne Click to get root--but that was after I had updated to 2.2...but everything I've looked at for to get root on 2.1, I don't see anything mentioned about using SuperOne Click...? Help me out guys--I'm getting crossed-eyed over here...
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU

Here's how to flash.
1. ODIN (You've done that already).
2. Use SuperOneClick to root the phone (read here how to use it) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682. You need Development enabled on the phone and plugged to your computer to do it. READ that topic I listed carefully if you are confused on how to root it.
3. Install ROM Manager from the Market, then flash Clockwork Recovery (select Vibrant (MTD) for Clockwork version). Now you are free to flash ROMs.
4. If flashing to CM7, download the latest nightly
(http://cm-nightlies.appspot.com/?device=vibrantmtd), put that on your phone via the USB cable. Put it on the phone memory, not on ur external SD card.
5. Reboot into recovery (Hold Power + Volume up + Volume down as you reboot the phone). Select re-install packages twice. Now that will get you into Clockwork recovery mod if you did step 3.
6. Select Install from zip card, find the CM7 ROM file you put on your phone and flash it. Wait till done.
7. Reboot phone, you now have CM7. Boot it up and let it sit for 5 minutes (do not touch it, its doing setup stuff).
8. Open the program ROM Manager (its installed by default). For Recovery, select Vibrant MTD 3.0x I think. Then select Download ROM, find the Google Apps package.
9. After downloading the Google Apps package, install it. You can do it straight from ROM Manager, it will ask you for root and then reboot into recovery and do it automatically.
10. You are done, you can now restore apps or set the phone how you like for usage.
OPTIONALLY you can install additional kernels and modems for better battery/coverage. The recommended modem is KB5 for CM7.1 as for kernel, if you want to upgrade, I'd recommend the latest Glitch CM7 kernel beta (fully stable).
NOTE, your GPS likely will not work in CM7. Be ready for that if you go this way.
Wow, seriously--Thaaaank You x110! I'll let you know how it goes!

Here is the udate.zip to root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723479
(click the QR code and download, thats slick)
That needs to be placed on the internal SD, NOT in any folder, just sitting out on it's own. Open any file manager and make sure its there. At this point find the ROM you eventually wanna flash and place it on the internal SD as well. I like to make a folder named "ROM" and put all my ROM's in there.
After you ODIN when you boot into recovery it should be blue. SWEET!
- Reinstall Packages(do this until you get green recovery)
- apply update zip(do this in green recovery)
- Now flash the ROM you have already placed onto the internal SD. It is important to only flash once you get the green recovery.
Good luck!
okay, for either one of the ways...do i want debugging on or off--? (i'm assuming that "matters"--?)
HA! Nevermind... 0

[Q] New gtab owner...first ROM mistake...cm7 question

Just got my gtab for $270 as a toy and have been reading all the material I could find about flashing a new ROM waiting for it to arrive.
Of course, I got ahead of myself and may have screwed up right out of the box.
I forgot to see which boot loader I have (like I said...I was excited).
I downloaded CWM...installed it per the 'dummies' web page...all good.
Downloaded BL1.2 CM7.0.3 and transferred it per the dummies page...and hit install from zip file. It then dumped back to CWM where I installed GAPPS while still in CWM.
Then hit system reboot, and it got to the CM7 android screen with the looping arrow in a circle. Problem seems to be that it's been sitting on that screen with a looping arrow for about 20 minutes now. I read that it takes a while for the first boot to load everything, but am pretty sure 20 minutes is more than generous?!
Is there a way to see what BL I've got from CWM having already wiped out the method to find out (going into setting in android OS) by virtue of starting the CM7 ROM load?
Should I give up on this install of CM7, turn off the gtab, go back into CWM and try the install again AND reboot before installing GAPPS?
Having forgotten to look at the BL version, does it makes sense that I would have likely got BL1.2 being that this gtab is brand brand new?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Yes, you can temrinate your install if it hasn't finishws. Congrats on your first brick. Sometimes it just happens even when you use the correct files.
If it's a new tab you most likely you were on 1.2. If you boot back to CWM (PWR & Vol+) it will give you the CWM version. If you loaded the 1.2 CWM version it will say V3.0.2.8. In CWM try a wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache & fix permissions and then reflash the rom & gapps. If it loops again, go to dummies and run code red (use the version of nvflash with cwm). Follow the instructions step by step & download everything via his links since his instruction are written with them in mind. If you have problems just post back.
Al
Thanks for the advice! I did load CWM-BL1.2, and I guess by virtue of the fact that CWM-1.2 didn't crash my system, that I had BL1.2 on the gtab.
Went back and tried to load CM7 7.0.3 again, but no luck; then revisited the catch-all GB ROM thread and downloaded CM7 7.1RC, and it loaded.....so I'm up and running!
Now just got to learn more about the market....numerous favorite programs don't show up in the market.
Thanks again!

[Q] Noob Issues

Yes I am new to rooting droids, but I am not illiterate in this subject. However, I am pregnant, and over emotional and possibly losing my mind because I can't get my phone to work. (Sounds like a noob issue right?!)
I have a droid 2, latest update, blahblah.
I rooted it, no problem, got good instructions from here, downloaded ROM manager, and Bootstrap. I downloaded Liquid Dream ROM. Flashed Clockwork, and rebooted. ROM seemed to download onto the device fine, finished rebooting and now it plays the Liquid Dream animation on start up over and over. Currently I am in reboot mode but I am stuck, I don't know where to go from here (because I am a noob, I know). So I'm hope full that someone with a lot more knowledge on this can help me out, so I don't totally lose my mind. Thanks for your time future person who helps me! (I hope)
did you wipe all the data/cache and davlik prior to installing a new rom. When ever changing roms, you need to clear out the old data.
go into fastboot, clear data/cache and under advance clear dalvik.
try that.

Well, something probably didnĀ“t upload ok. So, what you have to do know is: make sure the .zip file in the sdcard is not corrupted. In order to make sure of that, you can try to download it again (you will need an sdcard reader). Then, when you have already the .zip file in the sdcard, boot into recovery. From boot loop the best way is to boot the phone pressing power + volumen down, then choose recovery from the hboot menu. Once you are in the CWM recovery menu, do a wipe data / factory reset. wipe cache partion and format system.
When that is done, you are able to flash the zip file from install .zip from sdcard choice. That should work and get your cell back to life.
It might be Clockwork. There have been some issues with it. If none of the above suggestions work, try getting Amon Ra.
If ClockWorkMod does not work you can try flashing the 4EXT recovery...works smoothly at least in my Inspire 4G.

[Q] Something happened on the way from CM7 to CM10...

Before doing my flash, I did my research, and it seemed that in order to update from CM7 to CM10, I had to flash a different version of CWM. So I booted into recovery, flashed the version 6.xxx CWM, and then rebooted (I assumed that in order to flash CM10, I had to be in a CM10-compliant recovery). After getting back to my regular desktop, I rebooted into recovery as normal... only it didn't go into recovery. Instead, it paused for a moment like it would go into recovery, then booted to my normal desktop.
I've tried about a billion ways to boot into recovery, to include SD based recoveries, but it either goes to a larger sized N screen, then hangs up on a black screen, or it boots me to my normal CM7. I "can" continue to operate on CM7, but until I can boot into recovery, I can neither update to CM10 nor address any problems I come across in my current build.
Suggestions?

Have you tried holding on the power button and the "n" button as you boot? I recall running into a similar issue as yours and that was the only way I could get to recovery. If you're able to get into recovery that way I would consider maybe getting a different version fo CWM. I had trouble with the 6.0.1.5 version. You might try the 6.0.1.2 version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640958&page=5
I ran into something similar when I tried installing CWM 6.x.x. I chickened out and decided to run CM10 from SD instead, and I'm so happy on the performance now that I do!
I did the "unbrick" thing with "repart.img" to get the Tablet back to "out of the box" state and sighed of relief when it worked!
Yeah, I was afraid of that. I really didn't wanna go through the process of unbricking, but I guess there's no help for it.

Power + 'n' doesn't work on my NT either, I have to turn the device off, insert the SD with CWM, then plug in the (still turned-off) NT to a wall charger and allow it to boot up that way - then (and only then) do I boot into recovery, and without touching any buttons. Hopefully that helps
Dang, whoever thought this would be such a booger of a deal?!?
Okay, first off, let me apologize for coming off like a noob, but it seems there's so much information out there that everything's kinda bleeding together, so let me tell you where I'm at.
I've unbricked and restored the NT to stock 1.4.2
I tried rooting, but the only root I can find that is flashable from SD is the 5.5 CWM which is older than the CWM 6.xxx that every CM10 version calls for. So I went ahead and did the root, so now I have a stock NT with root access. This is where I'm getting stuck...
I'm at this point...

...and it apparently requires you to reboot into CWM in order to install CWM?!?
I've found the CWM 6+ files I think I need, but when I try to follow the instructions, my NT won't kick over into recovery---it keeps booting straight to the rooted 1.4.2 stock rom. I've found guides that take you from stock 1.4.3 to CM10, some that take you from 1.4.2 to root, and I even found Indirect's CM7 (without the instructions on how to get CWM on there in the first place!). I even downloaded Rom Manager and tried to boot into recovery that way, but it said there was my device wasn't supported.
I've been staring at this dang screen for three hours, trying to find a step by step, and I'm coming up empty. Maybe I'm just too frustrated at this point and need a breather.
What I need to know is how to install CWM 6+ on a NT that's either rooted or stock 1.4.2 (I still have the unbrick SD card) so that I can boot into CWM. From there, I can make my way through installing CM10. Help. Please. Am about to chew the lining out of my cheek.
I don't know if this might be helpful? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2037368

Not yet. I was expecting OTA to kick in, updating my current 1.4.2 to 1.4.3, but it hasn't. Honestly starting to think my NT doesn't want to be rehacked LOL
Okay, so here's what I'm doing at the moment...
I'm at rooted stock. I moved CWM 6.0.1.2, CM10, and gapps over to internal SD.
I booted into recovery with an older version CWM SD card (SD card image with Win32 > turned off NT > insert SD > plug in USB to autoboot)
While in recovery (from SD), I flashed CWM 6.0.1.2 , CM10 (meghd00t), and gapps-jb-20121011.
I reboot...
WE HAVE JOY!
Now to check to see if the thing's gonna run right (got a whole lotta "XYZ has stopped" error messages upon boot up)
Dangit, keep getting those error messages about Gapps stopping and Google Play, and other stuff. Not allowing me to do hardly anything I need to. I can't even boot into recovery from the home page---it still loads straight to the Rom. In order to get into recovery, I need to use the SD that I made to get into recovery in the first place. Going to wipe dalvik and the other caches to see if that helps...
After wiping the caches, I boot into CM10 with no error messages. I DL'd a game from my Gmail account, and it appears to be working properly. Thanks for the suggestions and for letting me vent
I just went thru this similar ordeal too. It took me over 3 weeks to finally find a recovery & cm10 combo. What I found is that I couldn't get ANY version of twrp to act right. Indirect's flashing tool was invaluable. I finally used it to flash a cwm 6.x from Laverne's thread. It seems that not all versions of cwm 6.x are compatible with certain cm10 roms too & by chance I hit a combo that finally worked! I'm staying with what I got for a while!
