I was wondering if it's possible to flash/install the ICS emoticons (Little green android faces). I really do like them, and would really like to have them on my phone. Is this possible?
I've tried Google and have had no luck.
They are in the mms.apk.
I will make it for you tomorrow k. Pm me the name of the Rom your on

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a metamorph that will change the buttons and highlights to red like on the Droid X. I've searched through here and in the nexus themes section but I couldn't find anything like it.
Ninjablur 1.1
There's a theme called Ninjablur 1.1
The only gripe I have is with the horribly ugly lockscreen.
I can teach you how to do this... Walking you through all of this in about 15 mins on your phone... No comp no nothing...

Ninjablur is for froyo only.
@junkdruggler
That would be sweet! I had a lot of experience theming 1.6, but not quite as much at 2.1. I haven't been able to get a theme booting onto the vibrant yet though, partly because I'm lazy, but I did try once and it didn't boot. I have no experience with MM though and I'd like to learn it.
If you still feel like helping me, you can email me at chazmaniandinkle at gmail, or gtalk me at the same address
Here's an ADW launcher theme. It won't theme everything, but it's something.

If you have the drawables from the other theme, you can theme it manually with NinjaMorph.
yeah, I've used that before. What I'm really interested in is getting the buttons to be red
Yeah ill teach you the ins and outs of ninjamorph and metamorph as soon as you are ready... Editing drawables is easy...

If you really want to theme up your phone (including a Vanilla theme) but don't mind some occasional bugs, check out "HeLauncher" from the market.
Otherwise your best bet is to use Launcher Pro, since IMHO that runs the smoothest that I've used of any launcher on the Atrix...

Hey guys I was wondering if there was anyway to change the stock smilies. For example the stock smiley face is and I'd like to take away the stupid nose in all them if that's possible like this . Thanks in advance

There is probobly an easier method than what i am going to say but one way is to open up your system/app/systemui.apk and change out the smiley files. i believe they are in drawable-mdpi for most devices
I also would like to know how to do this, that method seems a little too complicated for me.

You can change them with the UOT Kitchen online . Plus you can change ( customize ) a lot of other stuff also.

If I'm correct, UOT only lets you change the little icons, the pictures, what I'm looking for is to change the output of pressing the smiley face button, as in instead of outputting , I want

try just using GOSMS app if you dont want to play around with files.
Its better than the stock messaging app. And it replaces all the smilies with more normal ones. Its free too.
I think the smileys and the noses may be located in the keyboard itself? Because I modded the mms. Apk and changed them and it worked they show up right, but the keyboard still has the noses

Admit it, you secretly like emoji icons that iOS users seem to (ab)use in their messages.
OK maybe you don't, but you do hate the "blocks" or blank spaces appearing in their place on Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, Email, SMS, etc.
Google knows. And has worked out a way to implement their own version in Android, starting from Jelly Bean 4.1.
Now, ICS users seem to be out of luck and that made me think and finally figure out a way to implement them in ICS.
Note that they are black and white. This is because they are font symbols and not drawables (as they are in iPhones).
HOW?
First of all, Android uses a set of so-called "fallback fonts" for displaying characters that are not included in the primary fonts (DroidSans, Roboto, etc).
In the older days, to get emoji support, we used a modified DroidSansFallback ttf file, placed in /system/fonts. Well, if I wanted to merge AndroidEmoji font and DroidSansFallback, I'd probably lose a great part of my patience sanity and eye-vision... (there are 471 emoji icons)
So, I modified the fallback_fonts.xml in /system/etc/ and added the AndroidEmoji.ttf, as well as changing the priority with which the fallback fonts are called.
And TADA, I could view Google B/W emojis everywhere!
HOW DO I INSTALL IT?
I made a flashable zip that will work on all the Xperia 2011 models, on stock and stock-based ICS ROMs and probably to all Sony models that run ICS also (do not have access to those devices to check and be 100%)
DOWNLOAD ANDROID JB EMOJI FONT ENABLER
LINK : http://d-h.st/XcX
Flash with CMW.
Preferably make a backup prior to installing.
I am not responsible for your device, YOU are!
Nandroid backups take 5-10 minutes to complete and can save lives.
Enjoy!

Hi
I really hate the white theme newly given to dialer, contacts and messages apps. Would it be possible to change the color scheme anyway. Or port these apps from another ROM (having dark and better looking UI) Thankyou in advance.
I tried some 3rd party dialers but dont like them either. Best I liked the builtin look from ICS 4.0.4.
Try in theames section. I guess dev's had ported it

So bad I had tried all another themes but all white dialer, SMS etc.
If you really want it badly, you could create the dark version yourself by editing res/drawable-hdpi
