Hi people!
i'm new here.
I have this Panasonic Eluga dL1(EB-3901) android phone. It's version 2.3.5
when I plug the USB into the computer, it does not install any drivers (i'm unsure if it had any in the first place), i googled for the drivers but had not luck there.
thus when i type adb devices i do not see the phone listed. I need logcat to help me debug an application.
side note: I did transfer my developing app to the phone via sdcard but the app crashed. I am not sure if it could be due to my manifest's file minSdkVersion as 10 is already 2.3.3 and 11 is 3.0 and there is no 2.3.5.
Would appreciate any help. Thank you people!
Regards,
Paul
What Windows version do you use? (Assuming you use windows ). Should be installed automatically in Windows 7.
http://mustikamax.com/2012/05/02/how-to-syncsuite-panasonic-eluga-for-pc-windows/
Small question for you: I saw a review of this device, and the camera and gallery app looked awesome. Any chance you could share them?
[Use a file explorer on you phone, go to ROOT\system\apps and copy the camera and gallery app to your user memory and then transfer to pc.] No root needed (read only)
Thanks in advance if this is possible.
yup i am using windows.
Will try you suggestion in a moment.
Btw there is no camera app in /system/apps but there is this app called "Gallery3D". Do you want it? i can't really host it at work. perhaps i can email the app to you?
Regards,
Paul
oh. the suggestion doesn't work. its not exactly what i wanted.
I am looking for the device drivers for Eluga, apparently Windows (am using windows 7 Pro) does not install the drivers automatically and there is no installation along with the phone.
The steps suggested had this area where they needed me to have adb. Which is exactly what I am looking for from the start. I am unable to locate my device when i type "adb devices" and would like to know if anyone has a clue to get it done (i once added some codes into google/usb_driver for my kindle fire to be recognised).
Do let me know if anyone know how to make the Panasonic Eluga recognised by adb.
Thank you people!!!
Regards,
Paul
I'm not a big adb user, so I don't think I can help you with that. Are there any other apps with a camera icon or gallery icon in that folder? I don't need them right now, so take your time.

So I set out to root my phone and am in the process to trying to install the USB drivers so i can use ADB. At first, windows installed it's own drivers, which obviously didn't work. I tried to update the drivers in the device manager to the ones located in the google-usb directory, but it said i already had the latest installed.
Next i decided to uninstall the current drivers completely and start over. I then told it to install the drivers that were located the in the google-usb directory. It said no drivers were found. They were obviously there, so i manually gave it the "android_winusb.inf" driver as per the cyanogen mod wiki page instructions on installing the drivers. It then said that "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems."
I'm new to this so thanks for any help at all. I really want to learn my way around this kind of stuff.
Try it with your phone in mass storage mode with debugging on.
Still no luck. I've had it in debugging mode and charge only. Switched to disk drive mode and no change
Just download HTC Sync and use the drivers it provides. Should work for using adb.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Now it can't even find HTC Sync on my computer... It's installed and i just used it the other day. Maybe it's something to do with the fact that i uninstalled the drivers it had? It can't communicate now?
This is what I used, worked great.
This might help also, he goes over installing the drivers a few minutes in.
Hope it works out for you.

You're more than welcome. You might re-title the post with [Solved] at the beginning so anyone with the same problem know to look here.
Just wanted to mention here that this was noted a while back and the CM Wiki will be updated with an easy way to correct this for Thunderbolt as well as other devices soon.
what's the solve?
Recently got a Fujitsu T-01D and want to know if there is a way to root this phone. Found unlockroot.exe but it seemed to have virus.
Also, on screen capture (not available on this phone), already tried No Root Screenshot It app from Market but it does not work, because the computer does not detect the phone:
http://www.fmworld.net/product/phone/usb/t-01d/download.html
Already installed this official USB driver on the computer, but when the phone is plugged into the comp (via USB debugging mode), the comp still does not detect the phone.
Seems like the computer has problem detecting the phone (both Wins and Mac)
Even the developer of the screenshot app cannot solve the problem
Does anyone know?
P.S. tried another method but still failed:
installed PDAnet on the computer, and then installed PDAnet app from Market to the phone, but the computer still could not detect the phone.
have u press the "turn on USB storage" in the notification bar?
What's the status now? Can you share the unlockroot file for us?
well, you must uninstall the mass storage device in the device manager.
and then the comp will find a unknown device called t-01d,update driver for t-01d.
now comp can detect my t-01d,but i don't find any root tools which really work.

I uninstalled the usb device manager and re-plugged the phone back to the computer and the computer re-installed the driver itself, but the computer still cannot see the phone.
I tested it with the SDK kit ddms tool, it cannot detect the phone

now i know how to make it work!!!!
open folder .android
【Windows XP】
C:\Documents and Settings\<login user>\.android\
【Windows Vista, 7】
C:\Users\<login user>\.android\
creat a new txt file under folder .android, write 0x04C5 in the txt file, and then save file as adb_usb.ini.
now comp can detect my phone with ddms tool, and also root tools.
you may download incorrect driver for phone, this is the ADB driver for T-01D.

Thanks! Now my comp can detect the phone. I tried the No Root Screenshot It App from Market:
http://www.lindylabs.com/screenshot_it/
When I plugged the phone to the computer, and launched the enabler software, it went ok because the computer could see the phone.
But after I enabled it from the computer and tried the phone's no root screenshot app to capture the screen, it would capture but the file would not save. I heard the capture sound, but when I looked at the folder there was nothing.
Any way to fix?

Do you know a solution to make the wifi tethering work on this phone? Most carriers do not seem to able to connect (the 3G signal will disappear when tethering is activated)

Hi,
I'm the developer of the "no root screenshot it" application. Please make sure that the phone is DISCONNECTED from the computer when you take the screenshot. If you still have problems, please do the following:
1) start the app
2) goto the 3rd tutorial screen
3) press the menu button
4) send me the error log.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, wifi tether is a japan only feature for no root devices.
You can find this tip 'A subscription to sp-mode is required to use tethering.'
on the docomo official website:
goo.gl/yCk4g
and docomo don't provide Hong Kong Service.
So waiting for root.
Finally,i am sorry for my English. It may confused you,and i always forget capital letters.

Hi.
Anyone managed to get wifi tethering working after rooting?
Hi
I would like to connect my Yamaha digital piano to my Nook HD (I currently connect the paino to a PC via Midi IN/OUT to USB cable which works fine). I thought that rooting the Nook and running USB Host Check would provide the answer but the apps I have tried (Perfect Piano being the most appropriate) don't recognise a device as being connected.
I am sure there must be a way and would very much appreciate any help. Running a cable to my PC each time I want to record something is driving me crazy.
Maybe this could help: http://www.musicalandroid.com/1/pos...o-record-sound-with-your-audio-interface.html ?
According to this: http://www.mikrosonic.com/rd4-midi-android These kinds of things work best at least 4.1.x but 4.2+ would be better. Might need to try a custom rom as well then.
I've not had any experience with this stuff, just found some info for you. Hope it helps!

Thank you very much for the info - it all looked very promising.
USB Audio Recorder won't detect the piano when connected using the midi IN/OUT cable, it is looking for a sound card.
I am thinking that it may work if I connect it via the headphone socket.
Strangely enough if I don't have a Jack to USB cable to hand - but I have ordered one as it must be worth a try!!
Many thanks again for your help
No problem. Let us know if you figure it out in case someone else is looking for a similar solution.

Just to let you know that the cable didn't work! damn!
I have found USBHostSwitcher.apk on one of the forums here, which looked like it would do the trick.
I have downloaded it from a couple of locations but APK Installer comes back with an 'unable to parse' error message.
It either doesn't like my Nook, or the Android version, or ME!
The quest continues.
Thanks again for your help

Found this on a Nook HD site and uploaded to my Dropbox and tested it. Installed fine for me. I don't have any use for the app, just tested to see if it installed correctly. If it still fails again, then you need to switch browsers or download on PC and transfer over.

Make sure you have the right drivers installed.
Plug in Nook with USB Debugging enabled
Put USBHostSwitcher.apk into the folder you unzipped with the files for adb.
Open CMD Prompt and change directories to the adb folder
Run:
adb install USBHostSwitcher.apk <enter>

Installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot version 1.1.3.
Whilst I can access the Nook from the PC no problem, ADB can't find the device.
Other people seem to have had the same problem - none of the solutions seem to work.
In fact at least one of them caused problems with Windows reporting that there was a problem with the Nook connection.
I have had to restore my PC to a position a couple of days ago to undo the problem.
I have installed Minimal ADB and Fastboot again but it still can't find my device.
Are you running a custom rom like CM or just whatever comes on the Nook?

Hi
I'm feeling like a complete idiot here but I cannot find the android drivers, specifically; android_winusb.inf which I need to modify to root my tablet.
I get to here 'C:\Program Files\Android\Android Studio' and there's no SDK tools folder, no extras folder, nothing; just 'bin', 'gradle', 'lib', 'licence' and 'plugins'. I can run SDK via Android Studio and I've uninstalled and reinstalled the USB driver but I've no idea where it is.
Am I running a newer version of Studio? Has implementation of SDK changed? This is on Win8 64 bit.
Any help much appreciated
@Badmiker,
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.
On my PC, android_winusb.inf is here:
Code:
[path]\android-sdk-windows\sdk\extras\google\usb_driver
...[path] being the folder on my hard drive in which I've placed my android-sdk-windows folder.
Thanks
I eventually found it down in Users\Blah\Appdata\Local\Android...
I've modified the USB driver to include the devices codes but it's not showing up in 'Fastboot devices' though it is in 'adb devices'
Can I root from here?

You can install a clean copy of windows in your Yoga Book using the ISO from Microsoft and these drivers.
You will need a USB OTG cable and a USB hub to connect a keyboard, a mouse and a USB drive to your Yoga Book.
You will need three USB drives. One for creating a rcovery drive (16GB), one for windows Installation (8GB), and one to hold the drivers.
- Make a recovery pen drive before you modify anything. This will allow you to restore the device to its factory state, in case you need to return it or are not happy with the results of your modifications:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/3a747883-b706-43a5-a286-9e98f886d490/create-a-recovery-drive
Keep this drive safe and use it if you want to restore your Yoga Book to a Factory state.
- Download a copy of windows and make a USB bootable drive:
https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/software-download/windows10ISO
- Download the drivers and put all the files in a pen Drive. These drivers are from september 2016, posted by UweThelen63 at the Lenovo Forums, looks they deleted the post, here is a copy I made:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxTLcy78OveNUW1KVk9iN3lBS2s/view?usp=sharing
To install windows, put in the USB with the ISO, boot the Yoga with VOLUME UP + POWER button, choose boot manager and select USB UEFI.
Follow the windows 10 installation to the end, you'll get a couple of black screens, just wait. The display will be rotated, use the USB mouse to navigate.
When windows is installed, use the Drivers USB, extract everything and start an Administrator command line ("windows key" + "X", "m"). Go to the folder where you extracted the drivers and run "startmodule" for each driver. Start with the Intel Cherry trail drivers.
I haven't installed the LenovoShutDownHelper yet. I don't know what it does.
You'll have to go into the display settings and rotate it to 270º when the Intel graphics drivers are installed.
For me, everything works except the haptic feedback for the keyboard. If you find ahow to make it work, please, let me know.
I don't know how to install the Dolby programs. Any idea?

We need unlocked bootloader, however, I think its not developed yet.
Anyway, when bootloader unlocked, android users can install windows because of dproldan's contribution!
I'm going mad because of android's humble multitasking interface! I really really hope Nougat releases ASAP!

I'd like to know how to install the Dolby programs as well.
That said, to enable the haptic feedback you have to either fix the startmodule.cmd in the immersion vibrator driver folder or manually install it. The .cmd file doesn't set the paths right for the files it needs to copy.
To manually install it:
copy to %windir%\system32 :
Code:
touchsense.dll
touchsensed.exe
(maybe vcruntime140.dll... on my windows 10 it already existed)
then make the folder touchsensed (still in system32, so after it will be %windir%\system32\touchsensed)
copy to this new folder %windir%\system32\touchsensed :
Code:
license.param
tuning.param
then open an admin command prompt and do:
Code:
sc create TSSvc binpath= %windir%\system32\touchsensed.exe start= auto DisplayName= "TouchSense Service"
sc start TSSvc
sc failure TSSvc reset= 0 actions= restart/1000/restart/1000/restart/1000
After that, reboot... and on next boot you should have haptic feedback.
thank you. I reinstalled everything again and did that. Haptic is working now.
Dolby also installed by itself. Probably has something to do with the order of installation. i did the cherry trail drivers first and then the rest, with a few reboots between them.
How did you get the product key or did you have to get a new one?
In my case, Windows activated itself if I connected to WiFi just after the language selection display. I guess the key is stored in the BIOS/UEFI/Mother board.
I don't have a Microsoft account.

hello all...
i have a trouble to clean install my windows yoga book (YB1-91F). Basically i have done all the preparation, driver, windows on usb. Even i make sure i've created bootable usb flashdrive. But everytime i go to boot menu there are no UEFI usb option, there are only greyed boot EFI and boot windows option. i have try to load from advance startup option inside the windows, but in the end it only show "the system doesn't have boot to EFI". so it kind of stuck for me. Even if i choose reset my pc, it always says there are trouble reseting my pc, no change were made.
i want to reset my yoga book, because i've been infected by some malware, and i think my internal storage and windows registry is somewhat junked.
Ups, sorry... i've solved the problem. Eventually I use MBR for the bootable flashdisk where it shoud GPT format... now, i'm clean installing my yoga book. Crossing finger, hope all goin well.

you should start command prompt as an administrator.
- click start
- type cmd
- right click cmd, select run as administrator
- continue to each driver folder
- run startmodule.cmd

you should type command completely with the extension... it's should be "startmodule.cmd" inside each folder of the driver
When I installed Windows 10 again, Windows Update did most of the hard work with installing drivers. So as long as you can get an internet connection by installing the wireless drivers (try using the Device Manager > Search for drivers on this PC) you should be good.
