Schap's rom problem (minor but can someone help please)

Hi i installed the rom and all is well but i installed that wififofum application and found it wasn't too great and so uninstalled it, Once i'd done this i went to the comm manager and the font had changed and its annoyin me a bit. Just wondering if ic an change it and if this has happened to anyone else? Thanks
Also another thing is that when i leave it for a while for example go to sleep, when i wake up the charge light is flashing green and no button will turn the screen back on, ive disabled the battery options that would normally turn it off but still does it. I all so have average battery when i turn it back on so its not that. I have slide2unlock could that be causing it?
Thanks again lol
Raggers,
First, take S2U2 off. It will be contributing to your problem. Secondly, simply reinstall the comm manager and you should be ok.
If you are sure that the rom you are using has the fake server tweak setup correctly (stops activesync from continuously getting in the way and locking up your phone; google on here for a more detailed explanation) and you are sure you don't have software being polled off an external SD card (will also cause lockups) then you can reinstall S2U2 with the following settings:
On battery power:
- Lock when backlight turns off: set to on
-But blank screen; set to off
- Blank screen on talk: set to off
On external power - have all settings set to off.
In the Avanced section:
- Dont suspend power: set to on
- Safe mode: set to on
- Directdraw: set to off.
These settings will stop S2U2 locking up your phone provided all the other things I referred to are sorted (just sharing my hard earned experience with you).
Let us know how you get on.
Cheers
WB
that is fantastic thankyou very much. One thing i was wondering, is there any good applications i could use to replace s2u2 as an automatic keylock? i wiull have to leave it a while to test but thankyou very very much for the suggestions

[Q] Switching of power saving notifications

Is there a way to disable notifications like "Your battery is 50% full. Change to power saving mode? yes/no" and let the system just do the thing it is configured to do?
Related to this is the "Your battery is at 10%. Go find a wall plug..." message which is similarly annoying.
In case there is no special super hidden phone code for this I suppose I'll need to hack something myself. Any suggestions where to start looking? I'm new to Android SDK...

unresponsive/laggy touchscreen while connected to usb [solved]

i had this problem a while ago and couldn't find a solution, in the meantime i already gave up, but now i suddenly found the solution while looking setting something completely different
was kinda annoying that i couldn't use the phone while charging
the solution: (maybe not 100% accurate naming, because i'm using german windows and am just translating it)
- control panel
- system and security
- energy options
- energy saving plan settings
- change advanced energy settings
- usb settings
- settings for selective usb energy saving
set both to deactivated
-> finally the touchscreen is not lagging anymore

Disable/Enable OTG by Code

Dears,
I m looking for some help to implement the following feature on Android 9.0, and it will be running on MTK based mobile.
1. disable the otg function once the screen is off. then enable otg once the screen is on.
2. provide option on the settings to control this feature .
3. make application contains one button to enable/disable otg
the idea is we will connect some devices to the mobile. and we need to control the battery consumtion, if the mobile is not used (screen is off) we disable the otg. so the device will not consume the mobile battery.
any one can help on this or give some ideas
Regards.
Any update about this topic?

Palm PVG100 Screen Wake On Plug & Fully Charged

I'm close to having the phone perfect but these two still persist. There is a myriad of old options for Xposed and I was wondering if anyone has had success with any of them? I use the phone for a GPS unit on a cycle with a dynamo hub, so the waking up is annoying.
I've sorted the sound already, so there are two wake up conditions:-
1. power is enabled
2. battery reaches 100%.
Cheers, Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I can't help with Xposed, but I have a suggestion and a side question.
My suggestion : try IpBike (with IpBikeKey to unlock it).
The author of IpBike reads and answers e-mails. He is opened to new features if the idea is good.
If IpBike can't force the screen off (I never tested, as I don't charge my device as I cycle !), he may add the feature.
My question : is the PVG100 ANT+ capable ?
I use a Sony-Ericsson Xperia Active as a cycle computer (powered by IpBike), with ANT+ Speed, Cadence and Heart-rate sensors.
I would like to replace it with a PVG100E/EU, but the ANT directory does not list any Palm device.
Have a nice day !
Cobus.
Probably not, ANT is an extra cost for a manufacturer.
I found an open-source app which works. It's a bit old but still it does the job.
Basically it registers itself as an admin app so it can control the screen, then when a wakeup comes in it turns the screen back off. It's quick enough that the screen doesn't get a chance to come on. No root required.

Have you tried enabling "zen mode?" Zen mode keeps everything on the phone from waking I believe. I have tried it, but got annoyed when the wifi would cut out once I turned my screen off, because it would stop what I was listening to. Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but zen mode might be something to play around with.
To activate zen mode, the easiest way is probably through the app "setedit." Under "system" options, scroll to the bottom and change zen mode from 0 to 1.
