263 Digital Blasphemy Wallpapers Formatted for the Note - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

One of my biggest complaints of the Note is the wallpapers. They don't scroll, they zoom when trying to set, and nobody makes portrait size wallpapers for this phone. If you're like me and only use 1 home screen, you probably prefer portrait wallpapers. Who does wallpapers better than Digital Blasphemy?
Download this free app from the market:
Auto resize/DbD Wallpaper Set
(this allows you to set the wallpaper without zooming or trimming issues. great app to have for any Note user)
Download this zip of 263 Digital Blasphemy wallpapers formatted for the Note from here:
Google Drive Link

Thanks!

Neither DropBox nor Google Drive work under cell data.

Worked fine over cell data for me!

High resolution/Hd wallpapers and background that I can download?

Any place where I can find some and download it, I cant seem to locate the stock wallpapers included with the phone itself for some reason in my gallery.
They aren't in the gallery if you choose wallpaper instead of gallery after a long press they are there. But any picture will do best resolution from what I've read is 960 x 800

Here's what I do...
1). I install one market app "Wallpaper Set And Save" and use it to set static wallpapers.
2). I create a folder on the internal SD called "wallpapers" and place all my wallpapers here. This is the default folder name that the app expects, so why not...
3). I use Google Image Search. With Google Image search you can find some 960x800 wallpapers (the native resolution of our phones wallpaper), and Google Image Search allows you to specifically search for a precise resolution.
I *ALSO* use Google Image Search and search for 1280x1024 wallpapers and use these as well. Why?? Because 1280x1024 and 960x800 images have nearly identical aspect ratios (1.25 compared to 1.2), so 1280x1024 images work with very little noticeable distortion. Wallpaper Set And Save will also auto-stretch images, so there's no need to manually resize 1280x1024 images. And there are BUTT LOADS of 1280x1024 images on the net.
I use http://www.zedge.net/ for all my wallpapers their selection is huge.

[Q] High QUality Wallpapers

Hello,
how can I get high quality wallpaper without any blur on my HD2? I found some cabs on xda forum (high quality wallpapers cabs). Can I only install these cabs to my phone? Or I need to have some patch at first?
Many thanks
The screen's resolution is 480x800. Just google wallpaper 480x800.
If you ever try out android, there is an app called zedge which has some great wallpaper in it.
zedge.net, no need for the app.
The app lets you download and set wallpaper and ringtones so it's better than the site. Give it a try if you like Zedge's content.

I understand the resolutions....... But when Im setting the wallpaper 480 x 800 as the background, there is somtehing like blur on home screen across this wallpaper.... there is not the same quality as the whole wallpaper.
understand?
Search for HDWall. It comes with a HQ patch that allows real 480x800 wallpapers. When you set the wallpaper in Sense, it resizes it to something smaller and then resizes it again to fit the screen. I have no idea why HTC would do something so stupid, but they have.
There is no way to just set a wallpaper and keep it 480x800. Alternatively, install Co0kie's Home Tab. I believe that comes with an option to set HQ wallpaper.

Wallpapers always burry?

This always happens unless the image was taken by NASA or something, the image is ample size and very good quality, yet when I set it it becomes very blurry, lock or home screen.
Its very crispy when I pinch to zoom as well, whats going on here? How do I fix it?
Download QuickPic from the market and ignore or freeze the stock Gallery app. It downsizes the resolution of wallpapers. QuickPic is fast, cleaner, and doesn't cut corners. It's also free.

Ive had quickpic for a while now, and Its giving me the same exact problem.
I use Wallbase as a wallpaper app, and when I set the wallpaper from inside Wallbase, its crispy and perfect. Its only when I set the wallpaper via Gallery or any other image viewer that it becomes blurry.
I'm pretty sure it's zooming in on the picture which in turn makes it blurry, right? As to a fix, not sure myself.

I assume that what's happening. It happens with literally every single picture though
If you are downloading from wallbase on your phone, make sure you tap the image until it shows the tooltip for 100% before you long press to save it. I've run into the same thing. Also, make sure the image you are downloading is at at least 960x800 for full resolution as wallpaper.
I might be confusing you guys.
When I set the wallpaper via Wallbase, its fine.
When I save the wallpaper from wallbase (or anywhere for that matter), and set it as my wallpaper via Gallery or QuikPic, then it becomes blurry. Wallbase isnt the problem.
Thanks
If you have the "scrolling" background image enabled, make a new document in photoshop, or your image editor of choice, and make it 960x800 pixels, then resize your image to that and save as png then move to phone. Somehow the default resize for these phones makes it blurry... but setting it to the correct resolution fixes it.
^^ setting the image resolution to 960 x 800 solves the blurry wallpaper problem.

Yes, the full scale H x V dimensions for Sony Tablet S ICS wallpaper images is 1920 x 1280 pixels, but the images must be cropped if they are to be displayed correctly.
Sony explains how to select a wallpaper image in ICS HERE. To the best of my knowledge, Sony has not yet released a video showing how to crop an image in ICS, however, they do show how to crop an image in HC in this VIDEO located at YouTube's web site. Cropping a wallpaper image in ICS is done pretty much the same way as it was in HC.
I provided a wallpaper image template and explained the pixel dimensions and viewable areas of wallpaper images HERE. I hope you find the template and information useful.
I make my own wallpaper images using an image editing program on my PC then copy them to my tablet into a folder I created and named /sdcard/Pictures/Wallpapers. Any images stored in the tablet's /sdcard/Pictures folder and its subfolders can be previewed and chosen via the "Gallery" selection on the "Choose wallpaper from" pop-up that appears whenever you long-press on any blank area near the center of the tablet's screen. You can also get to the "Gallery" selection via Settings > Display > Wallpaper.
Of course, you could always download and install wallpaper apps, but most of them are advertisement based and they never provided the control you can have by making your own wallpaper images and cropping them yourself.
I hope you find my reply helpful.

I also have installed the Simple Image Wallpaper app that your link leads to. It is actually a free, open source, non-advertisement based Live Wallpaper app. It works well, IMHO. One nice feature of the app is it allows for using different images for landscape and portrait mode.
Simple Image Wallpaper works best with images whose pixel resolution is the same as the screen of the telephone or tablet the app is installed on. For the Sony Tablet S in landscape mode, images that are 1280 x 752 pixels work best. In portrait mode, images that are 800 x 1232 pixels work best.
If the image is not 1280 x 752 or 800 x 1232 pixels, Simple Image Wallpaper will rotate the image if necessary for best fit, then stretch or shrink the image, and then crop the image until it fits the tablet's screen. This will sometimes cause parts of the image to be unviewable or to be displayed in a mode opposite to the intended landscape or portrait mode. Still, it's a great app.
Had expected lag what with it being a live wallpaper, but none at all, fantastic!

Sorry to give this thread one hell of a bump but Simple Image Wallpaper just saved my sanity! Thanks, the word needs to be spread about this. I tried all the other "apps" and I can't get an image to display correctly in landscape mode to save my life. I'm using this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It took me a minute to find it though under "wallpaper>live wallpaper" because it does not appear in my app drawer.
Thanks again! :good:

Galaxy Note 3 wallpaper repository!

Here I've uploaded a bunch of wallpapers specially formatted 2160x1920 to allow scrolling, and the highest of quality allowed on a JPG. You will need a different gallery app to apply these without cropping, but with so many wallpapers, my favorite app to use is WallSwitch to apply them automatically at certain times of the day with no cropping.
ENJOY!
