Hi, does anyone have a backup or copy of the original Galaxy Ace firmware O2 branding or the CSC version S5830O2UKB1 ?
really need this to bring the phone back to the shop,

Hi all, I really need help with this, even if someone has a complete backup from O2 would be great, need it to bring it back to the shop to get repaired and need it pretty much the way they sold it to me =[

I think there is a program that does download firmwares with o2csc but im not sure what it is called

really? haven't heard of it myself, been searching for ages trying to source the firmware and csc for o2, would be a huge help if you could remember where?
or anyone can point me to a nandroid backup for O2 S5830 would be so grateful

Im new to the forum and andriod rooting.
Could someone please direct me to where i can find a list of aHero roms, i have recently updated to a new rom ver on my htc hero and would like to go back to the version i had before.
all i unfortunately remember about the rom i had on my phone was that it was called aHero .....
My reason for me wanting to going back to this rom is it seems to be the only rom that picks up my service providers gprs setting automatically ( i am on vodacom south africa network)

No problem my friend, for future reference do a nandroid backup before flashing a ROM. Then if you dont like it or it has problems you can restore your backup.
Thanks for the suggestion but you know us IT guys always think we dont need backups and just wing it lol

Anyone achieved the above? Is it possible?

Unless someone has created CWM flashable zips, (which I do not think has been done for the Tabs) I dont think there is, if you go to the Galaxy S2 forums, there is a guy called Intratech that does that sort of stuff for the phones, perhaps he will know what to do.
Failing that, just root, change the CSC, then unroot it.

Hey guys me and my partner recently got S3's mines luckly enough was factory unlocked none branded/bloatware ect anyhow hers is and even worse in a orange handset and as we are aware here at xda the orange handsets dont have the software update function thnks to crappy orange...iknow ppl have attempted to return there phones and demand a unbranded but becuz i purchased her fone from someone who didnt want it as it was a free unwanted upgrade iknow i can't complain to orange i in there eyes am not the owner lol or i should say the original owner...anyways iknow theres ways to flas roms and i was thinking of attemping of flashing the unbranded uk offical rom same as is on my phone but i have big questions b4 i go ahead...do i use odin to flash?
and finally will her s3 finally be able to download updates from samsung thru the software update function ok?

Yes use odin and flash the most recent UK release and you will receive OTA after that

i downloaded this rom from sammobile but still unsure if tbtu means unbranded I9300XXBLG8_I9300OXABLG8_BTU

First root the locked device with CF Root using Odin (see my signature item 1) than unlock the phone with Voodoo Sim unlock tool in Playstore, after it is unlocked flash this fix with cwm recovery from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1802951.
-Edit- It seems voodoo Sim unlock tool is temporarily removed from Playstore, keep an eye on it though, it will be back because it is beeing updated for newer firmwares.
For now call your provider and ask for the sim unlocking key.
You can also unlock your phone here http://www.sammobile.com/unlock/index.php?phone=I9300 , it costs 15 euro (creditcard or paypal) and you need to be rooted before the unlock.
Hello i own a branded orange/EE uk galaxy s3 and really cant wait any longer for the 4.1 update. yes i still dont have it can anyone tell me were or if i can get the relevant firmware from as looked but cannot find it, as i don't want to brick my phone.

What I want to do is downgrade then unlock and if possible after that install the Samsung custom rom and remove all the Orange branding and apps. Ive tried unlocking the phone via IMEI on websites and ebay but haven't had any luck so far have been told they are unable to do it.
Here are all details of the phone I can find and are listed below
Its currently on Android 4.3

Dont give out your imei number like that.its not safe to do so.but youre in the uk just pop into an internet cafe or phonr shop to unlock it not that expensive
