Hi,
I recently got my phone unlocked, the person who unlocked it downgraded it to 2.1 and unlocked it, it was working fine at this point.
I updated to 2.3 using SE Companion but I keep getting the message " Please insert sim and restart phone" everytime I boot up.
Would really appreciate some help in sorting this out?
Thanks in advance.
Try repair function in Sony update service. Different software from Sony than pc-companion
THIS MAY RELOCK PHONE. I have never unlocked but have used repair.

did you try booting without a sim if it boots without it chances is the phone already relock itself on upgrade to gb

Please guys help,
I've unlocked my bootloader with success and everything went well! then I used DoomsKernel 0.5 with success.
Problem is after that my Network sent me the SIM Unlock code as requested and as soon I inserted it I lost radio capability!! now I tried everything from other cards (no service) and also reverted to X10 factory reset on system putting original 2.3 available...
nothing... What can I do?? Laser's post advised to this but when I read it it was too late!!!
please help me to fix the No Service Issue,
thanks

Use the S1Tool to restore your bootloader then re-unlock it, I don't think you should have any issues since you're unlocked by code, which should leave you with SEMC CERTIFICATE in your bootloader, which is cleared for unlocking via the semc_qsd8520.bat file.
tried your way but with trips rom still didn't work... no sim card
u need to re-unlock network via setool2 to get network and this is the only way!
How dows it work then? do I need to buy the box? how can I do that...
thanks guys for your help
You can either buy the box which isn't cheap or find a shop to unlock it but make sure they use setool2 to do the unlock.

Hi guys,
thanks for your help... I guess it doesn't worth to buy the box and the software and here in Portugal I have no idea where I can find such a shop that can fix that
No matter which SIM I insert, always says no SIM Card... damn!
thank you guys. I still have a hope. tried with Omnius, but didn't work... it unlocked with success but it practice, got me nowhere other than spending 7€ !!
It really requires a box isn't it?
With the price of the box it seems I could always buy a new one...
I bought a sim-locked xperia x10 with android 2.3.x installed, but couldnt use it due to the fact it was locked. So i decided to give it to a "cellphone-shop" to let them unlock it for me. They did but now the android version is 2.1. 1-update or something like this.
So my question is: Can i update the phone via pc companion and it stays unlocked or will it be locked again after i updated it to 2.3.x again??
Thanks in advance

as i know, you cannot undo the sim unlock once is done, ask the guys who unlocked your phone about the method they used, if they unlocked your bootloader too or only sim, in both ways, you can upgrade via pc companion os seus and nothing will happen, thats because sony uses an international rom for the updates
As i said, try asking the guys who did the job, they have to upgrade your phone as a plus.
the guy there told me not too update it, the reason why i asked is that this guy didnt really seem to know what he was talking about, still he told me that it would be locked again after an update, so i need to be sure before i really update, he compared it with an iphone that is also locked again after an update...........also the guy who originally sold me the phone told me that he unlocked it and before he actually sold me the phone, updated the software, when i got the phone i couldn use it with my sim-card...it was locked again, but he told me that he could use the phone with two different sim-cards from two different providers even after the update, but the phone simply didnt take my sim-card (3rd other provider).....i just dont know^^
please..........i need to be sure, i dont want to pay 35€ again....and tell that guy i was just too stupid..
OK, i finally did the update and it remained unlocked......NIIIICE
Hello,
I am using a X10 Mini Pro (u20i). I am having problems with my mobile earphone, and since I checked forums and asked SE technical service and they told me that I had to send it because it was a hardware problem.
My mobile is still in the period of warranty, but I rooted it, installed recovery, unlocked bootloader and installed a kernel.
I have SEUS, and I know that I can "repair" my phone to return it to fabric settings, like taking out the root or the kernel.
The problem comes with the bootloader. I know there is an option to relock the bootloader, but I haven't still considered that option.
I was wondering if somebody could tell me if with the use of SEUS the bootloader gets locked again,
Thanks in advance.
If you do a repair with SEUS or PC Companion it will flash the original kernel and rom, but it won't touch your bootloader.
You have to relock that yourself.
i will help you cause i have been searching it too open it conect your phone to flash mode and press restore..... your bootloader was restored
Relock using se tweaker tool.... Its the best..... Be sure before sending to warranty...that the bootloader is locked and ur device is unrooted....

Common Problems:
1. My SIM Card is not recognised after unlocking phone with msm7227_setool2.cmd!
Ans: Redo unlocking procedure (step 5 onwards) using msm7227_semc.cmd.

im not sure if what you have is the same as mine but try this
turn on phone
press back button repeatedly to enter the recovery mode you mentioned
can you see options for
install zip from sd card
wipe data/factory reset?
you already had a tread about this, please stop flooding
still ..........again & again giving me same error............plezz dev help me............
stop flooding! it's annoying, check and clean the sim port, and also you should try with other sim to make sure it isn't a sim issue
Relock your bootloader. I can't detail how as I have never had to but make sure you're on stock! Some phones don't play nice with the unlocked bootloader and your sim won't work as a result. It's your only choice and you won't be able to unlock your bootloader without getting the phone sim unlocked by your carrier.

Hello,
My Xperia neo was sim-unlocked and worked for years.
I paid in Wotanserver to unlock the Boot Loader since I got the message "not allowed" and wanted to try custome firmwares.
I followed Wotanserver procedure with the testpoints aparently succesfully but Flashboot mode didnt work!
After failling installing a firmware, I gave up and restore with Pc Companion. Now sim card is detected cause it asks for the pin, but it doesent get signal, I get a message asking for inserting a sim and rebooting and a icone with a crossed sim card apears close to the clock on the top
I dont know what to try and Wotanserver don't reply my mails
I need to recover my phone! Please please help me :_( :_(
Have you tried inserting any other SIM Card just to be sure that its not SIM-Card problem?
Cheers,
AJ
Thanks for the reply
Yes I tried with other sim without luck.
Also if I check the menus it seems simunlocked, no cross in any option.
