Hi guys,
I'm currently using the the calendars app of ICS.
My issue is that I would like to sync more than the standard 30 days behind. In the options, there is an option for synching everything, this would not be an issue if it was for calendar, but it seems to apply to my email as well. This is huge. To note, I am synching to my work exchange server.
Is there any current workaround or do I have to live with it? If there is already a soltuion, I apologise as I have searched and cant find it.
I'm rooted on a Galaxian Soup AOSP 4.0.4 ROM on a Galaxy tab 8.9 p7300
THanks in advance for any help

Hi there,
After having posted earlier about the sync problems here, I would like to find out what is causing the problem.
I have done a lot of flashing lately and am pretty sure it must be either the Calendar/Agenda or the Sync program in Android 2.3.5 that's causing the problems (not sync-ing edited items made on the Exchange/Outlook client side).
Other clients, when installed on the phone, like TouchDown for Exchange, synchronizing everything fine.
My first question would be:
Has the Activesync program on the phone been updated from Android 2.3.4 to 2.3.5?
For, if not, it must be the Calendar/Agenda app that needs to be at the origin of the problems.
Can anyone confirm this?
The other question would be:
Depending on the answer on the first question, could either the sync or the Calendar/Agenda from 2.3.4 be ported to 2.3.5?
I'll gladly be willing to test. I have tried myself to replace the apps, but I don't seem to be able to find the appropriate files.
Anyone any help?
Regards,
Solved by updating to CM7 Android 2.3.7
Hi there,
Problem has been solved for me by updating to VictoryMod 2.1 (based on CM7) which is running Android 2.3.7.
Regards,
I have the same problem with google calendar sync. I have had it since I changed to 2.3.5 JVT and it's still here after changing to 2.3.5 JVU on Galaxy S. Is there a way to fix this without changing the entire rom?
I have also the same problem with GSII but I can't upload another rom, it's a company phone.
Is there anyway to have it working on GSII?
Thx, David
Exchange sync has always been iffy for me. I eliminated the problem using Google Calendar on the phone and using G-Syncit with Outlook to keep my desktop sync'd with Google. It isn't as elegant as using Exchange exclusively, but it has been flawless.
I guess it will work until I can get over the fear of migrating the Exchange Server to Google Mail.
Hi all
Since upgrading to ics (xsa) on my sg2 i have issues connectiing to exchange. It connects at first and sync about 7 emails then gives connection error.

Samsung Galaxy S II I9100 ->Galaxy S II Q&A -> Exchange sync issues since
I have the same problem. My Exchange server stopped synching after upgrading from GB 2.3.5 to ICS 4.03. I tried every setting possible but it just doesn't work! Any suggestions?
I had this problem too and found a solution. I use Moxier Mail (Exchange) to sync instead of the stock app.
Hey everybody,
So I recently picked up my first tablet. Since I have the galaxy s3 for AT&T, I decided to get the galaxy tab 2 10.1. Ive had it for a few days and I absolutely love it! Although earlier today I started adding things to the default calender that comes installed on both the tab 2 and my gs3.
My problem is I cant seem to get my events I created on my tab to show up on my gs3. Both devices are using the same gmail account so they should sync just fine right?
I did do some research before posting this, but I didnt find any definite answers.
If someone could maybe shed some light on what the issue may be, that would be awesome!
Thanks in advance!
Check that web sync is enabled on the google account web page.
Also be sure sync is enabled on mobile devices settings as well.
Finally, double check that you are indeed using your Gmail account calendar and NOT the local storage database.

Hi guys,
I came across this problem where the maximum setting in 'days to sync' of my exchange account is one month. Is there a way to change it to 'all'? as in sync all emails in my email account to my tablet rather than those from the past month.
I am running Jelly bean ,energy rom. Is this a JB problem?
My galaxy s2 running ICS works just fine.
Thanks

I hope I'm not alone with that issue or at least someone could help me out.
Whenever i'm clicking on a notification about an new Email the email app crashes.. It just says "Email stopped" with an OK Button.
I've configured 2 POP3 accounts.
I'm currently on rooted Stock 4.4.2 Version P605XXUCNF2..
Does Someone have the same problem? Or maybe can you recommend me another email app similar to the stock one (i pretty much like the stock one.. )
thank you in advance

go to Settings --> Applications --> All, and locate both Samsung email apk and exchange apk, clear data and caches on both, reboot your tablet. once your tablet reboots, setup your email account again and try.
