I had this issue as well, it seems as though the mic on some Atrix models does not work as well, you should get the phone replaced by your cellular provider.
My sister is in Shanghai on China Mobile, and she found a deal on a gs2 out there.
However in Canada she uses TELUS, which uses hspa on frequency bands 850/1900 mhz. TELUS does NOT use GSM. She wants to be able to use it in Canada too.
I was doing some Googling and I found that the China Mobile gs2 uses a different technology for their 3G but I'm not 100% sure.
Does anyone know more about this? Please let me know, thank you.

there are 3 types of phone sold in China
Korean version (with the stuff for korean tv, nfc etc)
European version
and Hongkong version.
they advice chinese customer to buy the hongkong version if in the future china get the 4G. they say the european version wont work for it.
that's all I can tell you, I'm dumb with all the technical stuff
Oh really! That is helpful tho, thank you.

Hi guys I'm having evo3d sent from America a friend is given me it would it work in the UK with my UK sim. If not is there anything in can do to make it work like changing the firmware to Europe or can I just root it and use custom roms on it

No, if it's from sprint. Sprint phones use cdma technology, so no slot to put your sim in... Lol, anyways, you need a gsm evo 3d, which nobody carries in the US.

Hi,
I'm living in France and I've bought an AT&T Atrix.
I've unlocked the bootloader.
Everything is working except the data.
So I'd like to if I can flash 1FF-olympus_emara-user-2.3.4-4.5.2A-74_OLE-31-release-keys-signed-rtfr.sbf (Retail France 2.3.4 / 45.31.0) with rsdlite.
Is it possible without brick?
Up

His tuto is for French tuto....
Mine is AT&T's.
And is there an other answer?
My Atrix is neverlocked, retail East Europe. Im not living in France. For me, Shiro tutorial, work perfect!
Your Atrix work in France. Yes? Maybe just brand AT&T and your phone is neverlocked. And maybe posible flash sbf.
Your phone, locked factory and after neverlocked? Or neverlocked factory?
Just my opinion!!! Sorry! Risk it's yours!
Sorry, for bad english"

What do you mean with "neverlocked"?
Signal phone, only AT&T, locked.
Signal phone, for all networks, neverlocked.

Everything is unlocked, so my phone is neverlocked.
This is just the data which is not sensitive.
I have tried to change radio, but always the same.
In my opinion, I'm not see why you can't try flash sbf.
Risk is yours, but good luck!

I wouldn't want to brick my phone, that's why I ask.
I'd like to have a certain answer.
Sorry! You will never be sure.
There will always existe a risk.
Is good to try at a specialized service.
If it can be done, thay will doit!
Good luck!

I'm going to England in a month for a few weeks and wondering if I can use my rezound for a reasonable price. Now that my phone is global, can I sign up for a prepaid Orange service or something and put that sim card in? Or do I need to flash a gsm rom before going?
Thanks!

If you are running the newest leaked ruu that enables global you don't need to flash a gsm Rom. Just get the sim, switch to global or gsm/umts and set up the apn for what ever network it may be.
