Hey devs, why there's not a lot of froyo rom? I think that in a lot of things it s better than gingerbread.. It is sooo smoooooth for example... Or.. Why not an oc kernel for it? If you think gingerbread' s better than froyo, try flash it and use STOCK rom.. You' ll see that it s better than some custom rom based on gingerbread...

i think this is made for gb roms like trigger Redux 16 which is what im on
Sensation is a ROM based on 2.3.4 JVQ gingerbread. It's currently in beta stage with a few bugs. And very beautiful theming.
I assume the actual theme itself will also be ported for other JVQ ROMs.
What on earth is KG3.
Our current roms are based of JVQ,JVP GT-I9000
Will it even work??
It's been ported for our vibrant. There are a few bugs, but it's VERY beautiful and pretty dang quick.
i9100 is SGS II and KG3 is GB leak for it

It's definitely close to release imo..just gotta get just a few more bugs fixed.

Just a little shoutout:
Not supported does not mean outdated. Not supported means not supported. Outdated means it does not follow the current trend.
Jusada's ICSunday is very fast, IMO, though it lacks several features (not important ones, though), and is quite unstable, especially with its OC kernel.
I'm using it right now, with a non OC kernel, and I'm quite content.
Why not try it out yourself?

Dude it's not yet outdated its just that its unsupported (2 very different things). Anyway, ICS final is a fast rom (fastest i think for ace) although lacks some features like live wallpaper. The rom sacrifices some features for SPEED get it if u want a fast rom. If u want features, might as well go with nims' GC or Infinity rom (both are good)
When I asked Jusada, he himself told me that ICSunday is outdated and newer ROM's are better.

Trial and error
----------------
Sent from my Ace. Galaxy Ace
Use a stock rom if u want battery life (i ussually use KS2/KS9)
Use a custom rom with overclock if u are searching speed. More speed involves more battery drain.
Use a stock rom if u are searching stability, they are the only which hasn't bugs.
The three things together are impossible. Speed will drain ur battery. Custom rom involves bugs.
Try the latest stcok indiam firmware and several others, like 2.3.5 or 2.3.6

I found v10. whatever was the fastest rom.Versions between that and v.14 were really laggy.
You could try Alzbacs donut rom as its good battery life and hes cut out crap like facebook etc from the rom.
And what do you need 150 apps for as that will slow your phone down and eat up battery.

6.2? you mean the froyo version? If so, I don't think so, if you mean 7.2 the GB version then yes it is, it's available from the same place as CM9, http://get.cm/?device=galaxys2 just scroll down the list till you find a CM7 nightly, they run them about once a week so it's a ways down. Flash that and you're on CM 7.2 with whatever changes have been added to the nightly since then. If you want the CM 7.2 RC without the nightly additions it's also there http://get.cm/?device=galaxys2&type=RC
No.

If you did I'm sure there would be small demand for it. GB and CM7 introduced a slew of new subtle features such as text editing and didn't go wrong in any areas where Froyo/CM6 excelled. Again, why would you want to go back, the SGS2 was designed with GB as its core and it's why it works well.

Small market shouldn't discourage you if you want to do it, that said there are no libraries or proprietary files for the SGS2 that are known to be compatible with froyo since it shipped with 2.3 GB, doesn't mean the GB versions wouldn't work or couldn't be made to work, but since they aren't open source it could be a monumental task to get things like the screen, mics, speakers, etc... working, given how difficult it is to get some of these things working properly on GB or ICS where the libraries and drivers are known to be compatible who knows if it's even possible, I'd be interested to see if you can manage it though.
Do you know who would be the best person to ask, to help me take a stock froyo rom, and do what is necessary to make CM6.2?? I understand Cyanogenmod is already taken, but make my own version of CM, kind of like a kang
