hi everybody, how to root evo 3d android 2.3.4 & hboot 1.49.0018.is there any tools to direct s-off without downgrade h-boot?
Sad to say but no not anymore because of the hboot being as high as it is now a year ago we could with no problem until HTC started raising the security level of the hboot witch means we will have to use HTC dev to unlock the bootloader then use the ruu's to downgrade the hboot and the leads us to the almighty and famous s off

back to stock?
I rooted and s-off'ed my evo 3d with revolutionary.
so, just the case:
If I want to go back to stock firmware and stock hboot, do I only have to use the RUU which i used to go back to hboot 07?
It works with the Desire, with Evo 3D too?

All the official information for revolutionary can be found at their official web site: http://www.revolutionary.io .
If they don't support your hboot version, at this time, the only other method will be to use HTC's unlock.
Good luck!
I have now s off scary at first my phone also won't do official ota updates is this usual

Hboot version ?
I have just posted a thread saying that I ran ruu whilst on hboot 1.49.0018 after the ruu had finished running I ended up with hboot 1.49.007 so running the ruu actually downgraded my hboot.
it depends on the hboot you have as stated by mnomaanw.
if you have 1.4 it'll be a lot easier. if you have 1.5 you'll have to use some work arounds everytime you flash a custom kernal.
a guide for 1.5 can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821

Have you tried using the HTC method to unlock your bootloader?
This question is an offspring of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601431
It seems that I have a Hboot version 1.11.0011 and 'revolutionary' does not cover this version regarding S-OFF. Is there another way to get a S-OFF onto this Hboot version? (And, why all these versions? - bonus question)
I also wonder this.
Same here
I had the same;
i got it unlocked via HTC unlocker - well not me guy who helped me. He tould e other metod is posible as well but more complicated.
So is it posible - yes.
Yes that I know but if I not mistakeing and you unlock it trough HTCdev you are loosing your warranty.

Instaling ANY non HTC rom does that so no diference there.
Yes okay but when you don't use HTCdev then they don't know and you can easily putting stockrom back

There is a posibility to downgrade to gingerbread without using the the HTCdev.
After this you could S-OFF with revolutionary.

Did anyone tried this and where did you get the RUU. I Unlocked my Flyer via HTC Dev and reading day and night how to get to the next step and S-OFF. This thread ended for some in a bricked device.
In this tread you can find the RUU
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062184
But for example I need the RUU_Flyer_HTC_WWE_Wifi_2.27.1114.31_Radio_20.3504.30.089BU_3809.07
And you can't download it
Had the same 1.11.0011 problem, took me a while to finally find the right method.

I am going to try the PG86IMG THING
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda premium
i had a problem reverting back to stock. The RUU said that my CID was wrong, i tried to change it with adb commands but it was stuck 0202...
The solution was to get the rom from the RUU, rename it to PG86IMG and flash it through the bootloader.
P.S: i was revolutionary s-off

You said was s off... And now did you succed to install official ics ?
What about root, s off and hboot version ?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using xda app-developers app
i used to be rooted and s-off with revolutionary. When you run the official RUU you loose root, s-off etc. the phone goes completely back to stock (need to adb command fastboot oem writesecureflag 3) after the PG86IMG install in order to s-on. I did that yesterday without knowing that today i will receive the ics OTA !
