I have a very bad problem
every time i power off my phone it is powering on directly i cant power it off just while i'm charging it i can turn it off. but when i take off the charger it power on without press power button
plz help me

Clean your USB port.
wat ur saying is ur power on ,on itself.so one solution isinstall adware cause these wakes r caused by some apps...an 2 one is u say the phone powers on itself wen charger removed ,well thts normal .but the first queston is important ,theres something thts causing wakes so find tht by adaway,adware etc they r for free in markrt

Wat jje says is clean the usb port ,by a small cloth or but with damp cleaning liquid so tht if any debris is there it will go,for proper conectivity.an do wat I said cause even I haf tht prblm once.

I experienced this before. Power button intermittent not functioning; not able to power off the device; reboot after power off and also with/without charging situation. I did try to clean the connectivity, factory reset and even flashed to latest firmware but also the same. As a result, I found that it was a hardware problem on my SGS2. Now no more problem after replaced to another new unit.
Hope yours just a software problem. 1st you might want try to factory reset, just to make sure the power button working as usual. 2nd option, go for complicated part is flash/update it to the latest firmware.
Mostly, 1st option will solve most of the problem. Hope this help. Cheers!

Consider re-flashing your ROM, unless you solve it by clearing Dalvik Cache

Hello friends.
One of my friends flashed blayo Rom ( froyo 2.2) on my suggestion but now his phone won't boot until charger is plugged in with power on..
He stays in different city.. hence I can't Post logcat.. if anyone has solved this already it will be helpful.

The Battery is very ok...

Even this is not the case..the phone is going into boot loop when switched on without power plugged in....

Try wiping all again via recovery ( you should be able to hold volume down then plug in) and reflash?

Thanks For the suggestion dude .. tried all that .. even made my own custom rom and sent it to my friend for flashing.. All works perfectly except.it going in boot loop when charging is not plugged in.. i seriously doubt something might be wrong with rooting and the recovery flashed there .. I have to wait for him (My friend who has legend)..to get back only then can i try other things ..
This Phone is also not detected when connceted via USB in bootloader mode ,..makes doing stuff very difficult.. If no one faced this problem before i guess i will revert to stock and re root..
I have had this problem since CM7 no fix found asked everywhere and there isn't anyway to get a logcat I know I have tried time and time again.
However get him to try CM6.1 never had a problem with booting on it still don't (Just flashed again today because I was stuck for 7 hrs today without a charger) http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Latest_Version gapps is at the bottom

Bump.. ever have any luck solving this problem? I have been trying to find an answer to the same question for weeks now. No amount of changing ROM's or wiping has solved it. Exact same problem different phone (mytouch 3g slide) but I can't help but feel the fix would be identical.
I have been digging for a couple of months and it appears to be a HBOOT 43 issue both alpha rev & 1.1 seem to fix but i'm happy on CM6.1

connect ur phone to the charger.......
and try to on it...
if it dosent...
then enter download mode (home key+vol down+power key)
remember to connect phone to ur charger and then try..
hopefully should work.....

i'm sorry mate. if you can't enter download mode, then there's a chance that your ace is hard bricked. try bringing it to a service center or to where you bought it if it still has warranty. just say it suddenly didn't turn on after updating it or whatsoever. don't say you rooted it or flashed a custom rom.
and next time, post questions at the general section and not here in the dev section.

Hey man try this:
- remove the sim card and the battery.
- prepare odin for a flash
- connect the device to the computer (without the battery)
- now with one hand press volumen down + power + home button at the same time.
- while doing this, insert the battery and wait a while.
there is some chance that your device answer with something, if so, then press volumen + power + home button again to enter download mode.
Keep trying this, could eventually work (or not). In your case, don't lose anything so give it a TRY!

If your phone is able to enter download mode, it will .. Try this.
remove the back panel . Hold the phone in your right hand . move the battery only a slight outward with your right hand finger, the connection should remain intact.
Now press volume down and middle (square) button with your left hand. And the press the power button with thumb of your right hand..
Sounds strange but.
Sure shot if it is not hard bricked.
Then you will have to flash a rom using odin. You will find tutorial for this . Search the threads here...

i think u have hard bricked it.. i went through the same thing few days ago.. don try anything for now.. feel free to visit service center on the next working day. chill .. they will replace the motherboard without any questions or charges.it takes a week or so to replace it in India. jus dont mention anything about the CFW..

it sounds like you have bricked your phone, it happened to me few weeks back, i had to send back to the shop and get a new one. if your phone is still under waranty this my be the only quick option for you. hope that helps

Good luck for your phone buddy.. hopefully they might replace the phone for you..
and by the way phone mostly gets bricked which flashing the phone, in general cases it does not brick while usage.
However you know better.. how ever i believe voltage flux might have done that as cud be mobo damage on your phone.
Ok so i had rom manager and my device wouldnt show up , so what i did was where it says clockwork recovery i clicked dell streak model , then it said installed successfully so i thought oh ! Great! But then what happened was when i rebooted my device it doesnt power on at all , please help me!!!!!!!

Aaaaaah! Shouldn't have done that, didn't it seem kinda obvious?
But anyway, if you can't power on in download/any way at all, looks like you'll have to send it to samsung repair

Hey man u didnt need to send it to samsung care center....btw u can fix it with flashin the clockwork recovry via odin and then flash cm7(madteam) and it will be great...again...if u dnt knw rply...i will post d lnk....hope it works for u..

yes it doesnt power up , but if you tell me some ways to try and boot up then i will be able to flash it back.
i didnt think flashing the wrong recovery would brick a phone?

Something else is wrong. If you tried installing wrong recovery it should of just said on your phone screen installation aborted. Have a go at this. I take it you still have odin installed on your pc right.
Press and hold vol down. Then press centre and power at the same time and hold down. It only takes a few seconds for a yellow triangle to appear with downloading written on the screen. You do not need to have the usb plugged in at this moment.

Man..ur can only be done right by odin....so for going to download mode...turn off the mobile pick out the battery put it again .....and press vol. Down+centre selection button(not home or android button)+power on key....and after 2 sec u will be their....and try to press the button in the order as i posted.....say if it helps...

yes i still have odin installed , but my phone isnt showing any sign of life at all , i tried this what you said and it didnt work , no lights at all.
Then srry....man...if it dosent even power on...then i cant do anything....srry u have to give it to service centre...

If you cant get it on download mode then i would say you bricked your phone,, you will probally be charged by samsung as they dont condone tampering with custom roms or recovery and there will be traces if they manage to power it on, it might be cheaper for you to just buy another phone, and leave it alone, but am still sorry to hear you cant get your phone working, good luck..

None of the key combinations will work, because your phone's arm11boot partition is now corrupt. That's really bad, because it's responsible for phone charging/download mode etc.
You need to get it repaired.
Please guys, *never* install ClockworkMod that's intended for another device. With other models you can get lucky and find a working build, but you have an extremely high risk of permanently bricking with Samsung models.
I did this exact same thing and ended up buying a Galaxy Ace. I'll still try and fix my Galaxy 5 though. I selected Huewai Pulse from the list. Bad move =(

Sorry for my bad English, I have a problem with my samsung sII, by mistake I wanted to install a ROM s1 galaxy I did not see that this is the S1 and not S2 Rom
Fortunately, the ROM is not installed and the phone got stuck in the download menu, after 15 minutes I turned off my phone and he wants to turn on , I try to start it in normal mode and download mode but nothing happens

From what i have heard you hard brick your phone if you try to flash i sgs1 rom on a sgs2 phone.
JTAG service should fix it.

As mentioned if you flash an SGS 1 ROM w/ Pit to the phone, it will brick it and require JTAG if it won't power up:

If you think your phone may be bricked and wont turn on, try a soft reset (possibly followed by a hard reset)
1. Take out the battery, then press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds or so. Replace the battery, then press ON button to try to switch on. This is a soft reset, and wipes the temporary memory and empties all remaining power in the circuits.
2. If this does not work, do as above but after inserting the battery, press and hold the ON+HOME buttons at the same time for 10 seconds or so again. This is a hard reset, and works best if done after a soft reset, so always try the soft reset first.

Hey .. I have a galaxy s2 that changed the rom to Cyanogen mod 9.0 there are already many months, since last week almost every day the phone block and had to eventually take away the battery, now the same thing happened and I had to do the same .. when I turn on said that the only way to have the phone working was doing a factory reset, I canceled to see if there was another solution, or to give back by grace and holy spirit .. from there came the blue screen with the puppet and in minutes the phone turn off .. I took the SIM to put in another phone and the phone turn on no more .. i have tryed hard reset, soft reset, nothing turn the phone on.. Anyone can help me? It's a bit urgent and sad, since it is a "toy" rather expensive ..

what is cwm? (the phone dont turn on, the screen is always off)
i tried sft and hard reset, tried that more than 60 seconds and only the power button too.. i tried with other battery.. nothing happens

How did you manage to flash a rom without even knowing what cwm is???

Did you keep the rom zip file in your phone? or can you connect your phone to a computer?
Hold volume up+home+power to recovery mode, try to re-install the rom or try another rom.
If it's available, you may backup your stuff and wipe data and cache before install the rom.

I did up+home+power, i did down+home+power, nothing happens. I took the battery and put at the end of the afternoon and nothing happens.. i tried with another battery and nothing happens.. i have cleaned the usb and nothing happens..
Try a USB jig. Otherwise JTAG.

try using a usb jig and chk if its getting to download mode
if not then
put it on chargin and chk if the area below camera is getting hot
if it is getting hot then its confirmed that u have bricked ur phone
if u have it in warranty claim it make sure u don tell them wat u did
