I´ve moved from stock I9100XXKP8_I9100OXAKP8 to Resurrection Remix ics v1.7[4.0.4] and now I get stuck on the boot logo or it shows the boot logo and then it goes black (depending on which kernel I flash to try to fix it...I´ve already tried flashing a CF root kernel, Siyah and CM9 KERNEL remix edition to no avail.
I CAN get into recovery mode. Before flashing the rom I´ve done a wipe data/factory reset, a wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, fix permissions. I´m currently with kernel CM9 KERNEL remix edition.
Any thoughts on what I should do?
Update - when I put the battery in the phone starts by it self and it stays on the boot screen (Samsung Galaxy S II - GT-I9100)
I would suggest trying to install an older version and upgrading from there. I've been on RR since 1.3 and have not had any problems each time I have upgraded. I clear the caches but I don't do a factory wipe each time.

Can I flash Illusion-xT v1.8.0 - XWLA4 2.3.6 (I9100XXKP8_I9100OXAKP8 4.0.3) · over this rom straight up or do I have to do something?

Alright so i just tried flashing couple of kernals like N.E.A.K, Thoravukk
None of them pass Galaxy SII GT-I9100 logo.
• I wiped dalvik - cache & cache partion(before flashing kernal)
• Used Ultimate kernal cleaning script
• Did a factory reset & re-flashed rom
Thing is that if i flash any siyah kernal Back, phone boots up normal
But whenever i flash any other kernal it turned black(maybe turned off) after Galaxy SII boot logo
Roms i have tried
• Ressurection remix pro v1.1(AOSP)
• -----------------------v1.4(AOKP)
Any help would be appreciated !!

I've had problems with Siyah too, it bricked my SD's ability to install ROMs properly ._.
Try full wiping your phone and then install checkrom v6. After that if everything works, flash your other rom and then try to flash the kernel again.
That's all I can say...

Hi all,
ytd, I flashed the rom resurrection 2.5.2. After that my phone won't continue from bootscreen Samsung Galaxy S2 and yellow trangle.
- Download mod works fine.
- Clockworkmod works fine.
I tried to find solution, I flashed back to stock rom and root it using Odin, it works fine.
- Stock rom works fine.
I flashed via odin again the ICS (4.0.3) recovery package/ROM and it works fine.
But When I install new rom via CWM:
- CM9 won't work (stuck at bootscreen forever)
- Resurrection 2.5.2 (Stuck at siyah kernel bootimage after Samsung SGS 2 logo bootscreen)
- CM7 works fine.
I already wipe/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, clear cache partition. Format SD card...... it still won't help.
I've installed and tested roms so many times, this is my first time problem.
I know you have done the necessary to try solve this but try in this order:

i have samsung galaxy s2 and already installed cmiui 2.8.10 with siyah 4.1.1 and it is working very well but when i tried to follow the instruction for the newer version cmiui 2.8.31 with siyah 4.1.1 i got a broblem my s2 will stuck on siyah logo even i tried to re-install the rom many times but nothing changed help me plz why my s2 stucking on siyah logo?
wipe cache and dalvik cache. If still stuck, format /system, flash the rom and then the kernel.

my friend i did what you told me to do i wiped the cache and dalvik cache then i format the systen from mount and storage after that i flash the rom and i chosen 240 dpi and siyah kernal but still same stucking on siyah logo after rebooting the phone when installation complete.
even i try to reset extweek but nothing changed really i am getting crazy why?
good news...
i create a second rom on my phone then i installed cmiui 2.8.31 on it succesfully:good: so what's the problem on my first rom to denied the update?

Running Task's " the beginning," ICS ROM and A1 kernel v1.7 wifi only on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi 32gb US model and having soft brick issue. Will only let me turn tab on and off not boot into download or recovery mode. How can I get into recovery otherwise or any other suggestions/fixes? Thanks for the time and help.
Edit: Never mind booted into recovery using Odin reflashed backup to restore ROM. Had to data wipe factory reset and wipe both caches to reinstall Task's ICS ROM. Only then was issue resolved after flashing A1 kernel v1.7 that was stuck at Samsung logo every reboot. Now using Yoda kernel instead with no issues on this ROM.
I downloaded and followed each instruction as instructed in the MIUI V5 rom page for samsung galaxy s2 but after flashing the rom got stuck and boot animation.So i decided to go back to my stock rom.So i did wipe cache and factory wipe too but even after that the stock rom is looping at boot animation. What did i do wrong ? I was running JB version 4.1.2.
