Which one are you trying to use? I see a few options.

Its "CALLRECORDER" by Alexandra Skvalex which has a green icon.

I tried one call recording app from g. Play and worked. Cant remember each one but the icon was red. Tried it in january. some others I've tried gave me soundloops or doesn'r record at all. Didn't try in 2.3.6 yet

Any idea the name of the recorder? I need this..
Sent from my ICS Razr XT910

I desperately need this too. I too have used Skavalex's call recorder app, and had the exact same problem with the other person's voice being so quiet it was basically useless. I contacted him (the developer) and he said he didn't own a RAZR so he had no idea what the problem could be, and he didn't write ALSA, so he doesn't know anything about that either. So I was SOL.
I desperately, desperately need a call recording app to for legal purposes, for court evidence. So if anyone knows of a working app for the RAZR, you would be a GOD if you shared the name of it. I'm at the point of having to give up my beloved RAZR and get a phone that works with the Call Recorder app just for this purpose! PLEASE I DON'T WANT TO!!! I love my RAZR!!!! Kwah ahh ahh, .....tears.....snivel....blow my nose....tears....
Thanks in advanced!!!

Yup.. I m using call recorder (its the same app) and this time what you can do after download the app, select Motorola bionic as a device and then download Alsa.. the voice of other person is not that much loud but it's much much better than before and if you need clear voice then enable loud speaker while you are on call..

I try several version with different Android phones, all Motorola, with sort of Android versions, 2.x and 4.x, none works for me. I finally decide to use a device like the DVR-188 (I'm unable to post the link for it here, but you can found it on Ebay or 'dx dot com'; Just search for it.
Hope it help.

I just installed it and it works.Simple as that. Try to flesh or at least hard reset you phone and than try it again. Maybe you got something installed that is messing up with your phone.

Call Recorder App for Vibrant?

I have seen voice/call recorder app in market but either they just don't work, can recorder my voice only, or I have to put call on speaker to record both sides.
I am coming from Symbian and there were many reliable apps for that.
Is there a single reliable Android app for call recording? I don't mind automatic or manual.
thank you
+1 here... I'm also coming from N82 with Ultimate voice recorder
I just tested Recoroid yesterday and it worked.

Call recording Samsung Galaxy II

Hello guys
I am owning Galaxy S I and can upgrade in June to S II.
I need Call Recorder app to record both sides with good quality.
Could you check please if any application form market records a decent quality calls. If not, do you think it is possible in futuer to have this option on SII
I am using Juve 1.9 on S I and Phone.apk with automatic call recording which works perfect.
Cheers
I would also like to know this.
All call recorder doesn't work. it says your phone doesn't support recording the other party.
I think the kernel will need to be tweaked to allow it like on my HD2
hi im already try totalrecall last v with strategy A the surprise is that other sides part of any call recorded very well but my voice not recorded at all ,i dont know what is the matter im usually hopes to record other side but now with s2 my hope is my voice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hopefully from xda dev can help us ???????????
thanks in advance
u can use totalrecall call recorder, it can record all your incoming & outgoing calls. lot of settings are there which you can set according to ur preference. just go to ipmart-forum & search it in android apps....
i hope it helps ur query.
It is not available now but I think it is very easy to modify the Kernel to be able to record two-way calls. Now I have exams, and there is no recovery menu for the SGS2 yet. But as soon as I finish my exams I will be working on this issue. I should have call recorder on my sgs2

I tried TotalRecall and I cant seem to figure out how to make it record both my own voice and the person I'm talking to.
When I make a call it only records the voice of the person I'm talking to.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

That call recorder app (greenandroid icon) does seem to work with headset plugged in too so it ISNT using the speaker phone to record. Awesome!

Are the both sides loud enough???
Can someone provide the link to this app pls? Can't find it on the market.
If so I am buying Galaxy II next week!

Yes it really works with great quality.
Only thing to note is if you reduce the volume during a call, the recorded volume goes down too but is still clear. And as I said above, it isn't using the mic to record other party from speaker. Its captured directly.

Anything better?
For sure, there must be something better out there, even if it is not free? I used to have Resco on my HD2 and works fine, with several option and the best of all was the ability to rename the audio files based on the recipient/callee's number and hence making it easy to search or archive. Plus there were several configurable options!
Sorry but I am new to Android and with 200.000 apps, this should out there....!

Records both ways? Doesn't need to be in speaker phone or anything? Is there any settings I need to change? Sorry for all the questions I just want a working one and If I have to buy it I will but I need to be sure first.
There is a few version to trial. Take it for a spin and assess is functionality for yourself then if it works as well as you'd like. . Then buy if you prefer. Works fine for me on stock settings

The thing is I am running CM ROM.. which is Kit Kat 4.2... I think that is why it isn't working for me.
Check out "RMC: Android Call Recorder"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.record.my.call Make sure in tweaks you change source to phone call and audio format to wav for best quality. Works on stock rooted mj4.
I use Wanam module for Xposed. There is an option for call recording. However, it's not automatic. While in a call you have to hit MENU then select call record. Saves the files to Voice Recorder app location. It records both sides of the call perfectly

Recommended rom?

Hi i need help in trying to figure out what rom other then 4.1.2 stock supports hands free bluetooth+ an assistant program with out my phone freezing and rebooting when trying to use such features. Why is this so important to me is cause i drive tracker trailers for a living and if caught using phone without it i could end up getting pulled over and paying a wooping 2000.00 dollar ticket.Note as of january 20014 i tested all kitkat roms along with and without JBX kernel and it just won't work for me however on stock 4.1.2 everything works perfect.
maybe you don't try cm11.
all motorola stock roms bad ram management, unneccessary apps, no notification bar settings etc.
Still looking for a reliable rom that will support such features for me without my phone crashing.i would go with a 4.1.2 rom however i cannot use such roms because i am using SS 3.65...
I am also using SS 3.65. My current favorite ROM is Gummy 2.1. Fast and everything works.
Edit:
Just noticed you said you tried all of the 4.4.2 roms. I have no bluetooth issues with KK.
Maybe try a 4.3 Pacman http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301493

No need to test. I tested it with the latest slim 3.8 and it failed. However it does not freeze up then reboots, rather it just give static voice replies from it. Meaning it does not support audio streaming via Bluetooth headset, that the assistant program needs in order to function correctly.

I sorta know at this point that all kitkat roms have boothtooth audio problem.I just finished a test with both slim rom and liqiud smooth using kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654233 and both give the same out come, " SOUND DISTORTION" when the app trys to talk back to me...But good news the phone is not freezing up and rebooting every time. And not to mention a third time my phone works 100% no problems on stock 4.1.2.So from my tests it still seems kitkat needs some more development. Before i can have a possible daily driver upgrade.I will refer my findings to the kernel dev. Thanks anyway. If you get any updates on a fix or w/e to have this feature stable let me know thank you.
