Hey guys, I have resurrection 1.8 on my device and had 1.7 before, the rom is awesome, except for one thing, when I plug my device in my PC it doesn't read the external_sd, only the internal storage, and the file transfer speed is devastatingly slow, could any one please guide me through and I would be grateful.
thanks in advance.
Either flash another kernel..or search for the external sd fix in the resurrection thread ( i think it is in the original post)

Hey man. I've been using Resurrection since I can remember. But just recently flashed Hydra-H20 v1.0.3 and I think it is better. I have tried pretty much every rom. I am getting the best battery life, and overall feel from this rom. I highly recommend switching! Just a thought

If you are facing the issue, then you are on stock lg gingerbread or rom based on stock gingerbread.
Just use PaoloM70's OC Gingerbread kernel and all problems will be gone.

Unstable? Sorry, I have been running with Franco kernels for one month and there is no kernel panics, and any instability whatsoever.
I have this problem too, stock 2.3.3, everytime I connect my phone to pc to tranfer file, I have to restart my phone to mount sd card. The phone doesn't re-mount after disconnect from pc.

Hey y'all
Need some advice here
I recelty bought a new SGS3 Intl version 16 Gb internal storage (11 gb usable), downloaded a ton of HD games and now i'm out of storage. I wanna download more games! That's what my device is built for!!
So I go to the shop, buy a 32 Gb Class 10 (coz i hear sd cards aint as efficient as internal storage, i buy a class 10) SD card and put it in and BAM! No move to sd option! I researched a lot and found it out to be a samsung mess up...So now i'm left with only onwe option i.e. to partiition my SD card inorder to install apps on it..
I have two options:
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
2. Via ROM manager (I have v5.0.0.7) or CWM recovery (v5.5.0.4 :: CF-v1.5)
So to round up should i partition my SD card in order to have apps on it? If yes, then which option?
Thank you so much.

Just use Directory Bind (needs root), you don't need a repartitioned SDcard for that.
As above so much easier than using partition

Please help
Sample settings for GTA 3 on my phone:
Source: /mnt/extSdCard/data/com.rockstar.gta3ger/
Target: /sdcard/Android/data/com.rockstar.gta3ger/
Make sure that the checkbox is checked and that the floppy disk icon next to the entry is green.
Thanks guys! It worked! Apparently i had mounted to the wrong location. Again Thanks, +1 to both of you

Directory Bind will not install on my rooted Samsung s3?

Hey everyone!
How's it going?
I recently flashed over the stable build for cyanogenmod 10.0 on my vibrant and that worked really well. I was shocked at how stable and smooth it was!
I saw that 10.1 was put out yesterday, so I flashed that but I'd been having some issues. The gapps zip didn't work all that well and I had to manually install some of the apps. No big deal.
However, I've been having issues with poweramp or apollo crashing out when I'm using the stock browser. I am, however, running juicedefender and autokiller to manage my RAM.
Any suggestions to free up some stuff? I'm really hoping to make this work because it works pretty awesome, but I can always drop down to 10.0 if it doesn't work out since I wasn't having any crashing issues.
In terms of flashing:
I flashed back to stock with ODIN, then installed CWM, then flashed 10.1, did a wipe, then installed gapps. Gapps didn't 'take', but I was able to take care of it through the play store.
Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I totally spaced out on the kernel. I just updated to the latest semaphore and am ready to go. Things are already MUCH faster.
I never really use the videocamera anyway, so it's not an issue.
Do you think Zram would help at all? Semaphore doesn't have any.
If I get a class 10 external sd card, is there any way to use some of that as ram? If we can do that, it'd breathe new life into the vibrant like WOAH.
Or is there any way to run some of the necessary apps on the external SD card instead of RAM?
Edit: Tried to OC to 110% and the phone started restarting so I disabled that. Now the phone shuts down when it sleeps and the power button doesn't wake it up. I have to pull the battery and restart it. Anyone know why?
Here's the semaphore kernel I flashed:Semaphore_JB_2.9.21v.zip

link2sd works perfect on s duos, have you create an ext4 partition in external sdcard? insert the card in a card reader and connect to the pc, use minitool partition wizard to create a second partition in ext4 format (after that you can't see the partition in windows, only in link2sd), in link2sd check menù - memory space and check de ext4 partition named /data/sdext2.
are you using it right? when you select an app you don't choose "move to sdcard" but "action" and then "link"; and in setting check the auto link option so every app you install automativcally goes linked to card.

simply try the kernels from the higher oc, probably you will have bootloop, continue to try other kernels in descending order, when the phone boots and is stable that is the max speed your phone supports.

download the kernels from here
http://stodulkovi.cz/kyle/breakfast-kernels/
you can flash it with odin (download below)
install drivers on the pc or install samsung kies, conncect phone to pc and verify it's recognized as storage;
disconnect phone from pc, go into download mode: shut down phone, then long press volume down+power on+home button until it vibrate;
appears a warning, press volume up;
now start odin, connect phone to pc, verify under id:com become yellow with the com port, under PDA select the kernel file, press start and wait.
I reccommend a cwm backup just in case somethimg goes wrong.

Hi guys,
sorry for cross-posting (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-neo/help/xperia-pro-issue-mount-sd-ext-t2826503) but
my phone is becoming unstable because of very low free space/memory available
and did not receive answers.
Thank you very much!
Hi eXperts,
last month I flashed the great Ultimate HD rom, so stable and now my wonderful Xperia pro is much faster
Before to do that anyway I used Mount2SD app to get my external sd mounted and solve, in this way,
common issue about "memory unavailable" and similars when I tried to add or update an app.
Now , Mount2SD is no more working, with no log entries, even if detailed debug verbose is enabled; first
I was thinking there is issue with Init.d support... But it sounds strange because before UHD I used the original stock rom by sony,
rooted of course, and furthermore I checked with a tool (embedded inside universal Init.d) and it shows me that Init.d support
is green and working....
So, looking beyond, my question is how to definitively solve this issue, changing kernel or something else
and give my phone support to mounting external sd native. Which kernel may I flash ? Working together with UHD?
Fast?
My phone is mk16i and must keep physical keyboard working, cwm, rooted.
Will this operation break my current configuration in terms of installed apps and so on?
My Xperia pro is unlocked bootloader.
Thank you very much in advance!!

1. Try flashing stock GB/ICS
2. Try using a different sd card
That's basically all you can do. If you're doing everything right (flashing and wiping accordingly) and it still doesn't work, it's definitely a hardware problem. Then you'll need to pin point what is causing the problem. As I recall you said that your sd card works properly? Can you can copy/move stuff from and to it, view all the media you have on it without problems?

Hi Grof,
flashing stock GB/ICS does not help. I use stock kernel since the beginning... and no stock kernel
is able to mount sd-ext file system in order to use sd as a natural extension of internal memory.
As I wrote in the beginning I already reached out result I want, using Mount2Sd with stock kernel but now
I want to solve with a new full featured and modded kernel that embeds useful functionality just like CWM and
of course internal memory extension using sd-ext filesystem..
That's the point.
My sd card is perfect, nothing to complain and working like a charm! I "only" need the first part.
Regards
If I get what you are saying, you just want someone to recommend you a custom kernel that has sd-ext support? Have you tried the latest LX CM11 ROM and kernel? Almost all custom kernels support ext4, it's just a matter of preference.
Sorry if I missed your point, hope I haven't misunderstood you.

Great! That's the point :good:
Now, I did not try LX CM11 ROM because I did not know which was the best ROM and Kernel for my mk16i and so
reading different threads I decided to install Ultimate HD ROM.
That's a good ROM but I did not know which kernel associate because it was not indicated in its dedicated thread
and furthermore, mk16i is a really specific smartphone with physical keyboard so I did not want to loose some important feature.
I will try to look at LX CM11 ROM but are you able to suggest a good kernel for my current ROM ?
I am honest, if possible I would not want to install all apps from the beginning... but if the reward is sensible, well I will do!
Thanks

Asking for and suggesting best kernel/ROM is not allowed on xda.

You'll just have to test them out yourself. You should check UHD ROM thread to see which kernels are compatible with that ROM. All CM ROMs have kernels inside the zip (boot.img). Hope you'll find what you are looking for!

Hi, I know the rules.
I am asking if you can help me understand which ROM is ready for UHD cause, of course, I already read the post and found
different suggestions but regarding other models. That's the point, because Xperia Pro is a particular phone with physical keyboard for e.g.
and also looking at different kernels inside its dedicated thread I was not able to understand which kernel is already developed
and patched on ICS and there is features matrix.
Finally I need to know if, installing selected kernel, I will loose something or not
I am not interested and I am not asking "which is the best rom for my phone ?"
Bye
