Hey guys im new in this forum,i have been trying to root my neo with the assistance of easy rooting without flashing( by the way my android version but on 2.3.4) but it always says failed and unable to copy superuser and other essential files i mean do i need to unlock bootloader in order to root?
Im realy sad plzz help this Out.
My recomendation is to unlock bootloader using testpoint method (if you're doing using SE official method, you'll void warranty) install CWM and then flash rootxperia.zip
Please use search function. This information is already published in this forum and there is no need of a new thread for same questions. Thanks

Hey if i run this script should i have my bootloader unlocked or no??
No need to unlock your bootloader..
Just run the batch file(.bat) and let it root...
It will also reboot the phone....
Anyway it can harm my phone or brick
I've successfully used this method to install Superuser.apk, the su-binary and busybox.
My build no. is 4.0.1.A.0.284
TrackID, as one would expect, is still working.
Next task is to remove the preinstalled bloat.
Ok thanks. I will also remove many apps Xperia 2011 has a bunch full of crap apps
But I got Xperia mini build no. 4.0.2.A.42 will this work?
you should release it earlier
i had give sony my IMEI!!!!!! sad.............

Hey guys I am a android newbie got a Neo V recently..I would like to use Titanium backup/brightness hack to move most of the apps to SD Card, and read that requires root..
Is rooting perfectly safe? cuz am not really interested in going beyond the stock SE Rom or anything?
And if I get any future SE official device updates, should I unroot the device before installing new updates or the root can be left as it is??

Click to collapse
I'm also rooted and on stock and it still has many advantages. It's easy if you have an unlocked bootloader, else I don't know.
via Sony Ericsson Xperia
I dont want to unlock my bootloader, I am not looking to install custom roms or anything..
Can anyone else answer my question above, and can I follow this to just root my phone?? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582
Root it using the zergrush method (rooting doesnt remove the warranty) its very easy and no need to unlock the bootloader , then just get app2sd or similar to move the apps to SD.
After rooting you can do many more things like removing carrier apps, move apps, supercharge, etc.
I just got an Xperia S, it's a great phone.
I had The Xperia X10 (unlocked bootloader, x10s rom doomkernel max overclock)
I want to unlock my bootloader but I cant get the drivers installed on mij X64 bit windows & pc.
I tried it for 2 day and read allod of posts here.
Can somebody please help me?
I'm Even Willing to PAY good money If someone helps me (of does it for me)
If someones willing please contact me and If you can do the unlocking (I live in Tilburg/the Netherlands) that would even be greater
download the flashtool its has drivers with it. or you can try to download and install pda.net
Ok, I have that, I tried to root and unlock it the same as I did with the x10 it didn't work. Do I have to flash anything in flashtool? Follow the official unlock method (from Sony) or do something els?
Thanks for anwsering so quick buddy!!

I think you unlock x10 using something like easy 1 click similar stuff.
That method is not available with xperia s. As of now, the only way to root is to flash a pre root image. In order to do so, you need to unlock bootloader which also means, you will lose the DRM key.
You can get the full tutorial in the development section.
I know, I followed the instruction only to get stuck at step 13.
if I do this My PC says He couldn.t find any comparable drivers.
here is a screenshot, mayb someone can see where I did What incorrect?
everything worktoud wit an other link for the xperia arc files,
just flast doomlord's latest kernel, looking for wifi files and then I'm ready
hi can anybody help me and with links on how to root my experia s running 2.3.7 6.0.A.3.6.7 and its from o2 already unlocked, hope it can be rooted easily and hope to hear soon as i cant find any easy solutions to root this, many thanks from Brian.
Only way to root the Xperia s is to flash a prerooted system.img or flash a kernel that will root the system. Both require an unlocked bootloader.
welcome to the Xperia S forums
Xperia S INFO REF All that u need to know before u begin
First dial *#*#7378423#*#* (*#*#SERVICE#*#*) to access the service menu and go to: Service info > Configuration and check Rooting Status,
if “Bootloader unlock allowed” says yes then continue with the link above if it says No then stop trying because it is not possible yet for you to unlock the bootloader. Unlocking bootloader is neccessary to root, there is no other way at the moment...
Hello. I have sola and I am new in this stuff. I read a lot of about root and I decided do root on my device , but I have few questions.

2. I want do copy my branded rom use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB77gWRUI_A it’s work on my sola ?
3. is it possible back to before root ? (unroot ?) How do this ?
4. is it possible back to my branded rom ever want?
5. is it worth do root now ? maybe better wait on ICS and then do root ?
6. if I have root and update to ICS , I will have still root ?
7. What say warranty about unlock bootloader and root ? what I have to do to warranty be valid ?
