i want add arabic/farsi languages to LatinIME (default android keyboard)
anybody can help for this task?
i decompiled and do anything i knew but no luck...
i have a latinIME from my htc hero with arabic/farsi support.
but it is small size for Galaxy s2

sorry if i cant help.i tried searching for how to add arabic/urdu/farsi but i couldn't find anything.i found mods of it but they were of different devices.which means small/big text size.i will still see if i can find anyone to help you.but to be honest i found this this type of question asked before but no answers.why do you want to add it to default keyboard anyway.

it appears no one has ever added arabic to the default keyboard it must be because mostly everyone uses samsung keyboard or a 3rd party keyboard which often provides more languages and themes plus customization.i am truly sorry.
in the end, Smart keyboard pro is very good choice

i have it installed but for some reason it wont let me select it...i clicked it but it stays on the keyboard..any idea why?
im gonna reinstall it and see..
edit: anyone having trouble uninstalling? i try to remove it from remove programs and after a bit it just freezes and i have to soft reset..

i got the same.
I installed it on Kaiser/dutty - all works but not qwerty.
When i open qwerty settings, settings just close - cant choose language.

Works great on Tmobile Wing, except u cant really change settings on the querty keyboard i click settings and nothing happens, besides that, the threaded txting opens a bit slower now but only with querty ver.

Well i've done some searching and can't find any threads that has the solution to my request.
well i need the ÆØÅ charcters on my on-screen keyboard on my Raphael.. i'm using NATF's rom v4.0.. well i know all about changing the hardware keyboard and using the compact keyboard and so forth and i do have those character enabled there but the keyboard i want this enabled for is the full qwerty keyboard..
well monx® did make a rom for Norwegian users and have posted an image of the keyboard showing how the on-screen keyboard will look like..

err.. I've just ported the danish keyboard from the ROM you gave me-- it's the same look as above but the "ae" and "o" is switched that's the only difference
well if it is the same letter and so forth, that would work for me..

Here you go-- but you will need to select it everytime you will be resetting. Select 'Tastatur' on 'other input method' selection of your SIP. I can do it permanently but only to my ROM as the permanent fix varies from one ROM to the other

Today I started modding my SGSIII I9300 stock rom...
(actually I'm pretty new to android)
I changed battery, signal and notification bar icons without any problems
but then I wanted to really mod the look the stock interface so I started looking
for the files I needed... problem was... i didn't find them...

They're not in the regular android framework, they're in the touchwiz framework. (TW_framework-res or something)

There is no way you can uninstall TouchWiz just like that. Do note that I am referring to the TouhchWiz framework, not the launcher SecLauncher2.apk (TouchWiz Home)
Have a look in settings.apk or secsettings.apk
Can't remember what TW uses
Edit.. Scratch that, you're looking for the background images, not the text? As shawty says, twframework-res.apk
Edit2.. Look for tw_list_section_divider_holo_light.9.png / tw_list_section_divider_holo_dark.9.png in framework-res, that should be the smaller one...

hey so i have the T-Mobile Galaxy s5
there isn't to many downloadable mods out there at this time, I'm sure it's because it's still fairly new
among the mods i usually like to add to my phone that i have had to make on my own is a Launcher mod
i usually have it setup as a 4X5 grid size, page indicators at the bottom & no wallpaper scrolling
I don't know how to mod apks but i read a tutorial on how to do it and as i looked for the SecLaucher3.apk file on my phone it was nowhere to be found
please let me know if you know where it is or if your willing to help with the apk modding

Decompile it first using apktool or something like it then you can edit the png or the value files in /values of the APK. I'm not going to explain all this in this thread, but there are multiple tutorials on how to decompile apks and mod them.
