Hello guys. What were you actually expecting from Samsung Galaxy S3? Why I asked is because of reading few people's comment on it saying- "Samsung fail", "Not worth ed". Did you all expect Samsung to stuff in a super computer in a 8.6mm phone?
Now, you might say "that's MY opinion". I guess you are right.
But let's think something deep-
1) All you are asking for is 2GB RAM. Why? I could never cross 550MB in my S2.
2) 12MP? Well that might be even what I wanted. But Samsung fully concentrated on software tweeks.
3) The design is poor- I don't agree. What I agree is the build quality is cheap.
What do you guys say? I think S3 will be a hit
I was expecting )
1-ultra amoled hd 3d display
2- near 2gb ram because many games and apps is future will require more and more ram.
3-better shape design.
4-well camera has been improved even it is 8mp.
5-hd resolution ......
Others were fulfilled basically the software features are awesome but design and shape is pathetic and as for hardware nothing is new or special I believe it depends what people expected from then .....
Ok wait WORST PART#### Samsung galaxy s3 featuring exynos is bad As sense 2.1/30.3.5/4.0.+
Would never be ported As it will be impossible reason - exynos chip does not support sense we would need to remake the ui ....
I will stick to S2!!!

There should be a forth question in the poll:
"Undecided, waiting to see it up close"
I'd want full hd display with 3d;2 giga of ram and a better gpu but I gonna to by s3 anyway!I really liked the design and these upgrade is good enough for me
I was explecting multiple versions of the device.
I would have liked to see one with a full QWERTY keyboard.
I would have like to seen one with no physical buttons.
I would have also liked to have seen one with pur ICS.
I watched the entire unpacked, and all I could think was, I can't wait for me to get my hands on one and flash CM9.
The S2 has never let me down performance wise so I expect much the same from S3.
However, my only disappointment is the look of the phone. It looks so S1. Major letdown.

OP raises a good point. Question is whether our expectations were too high or too unrealistic??
Just image, if there were no high-end phones from Samsung after SGS2 (assuming Note and GNex didn't exist). If we look in this way, SGS3 is a decent upgrade from SGS2. We can't expect them to give a gigantic upgrade compared to Note/GNex when these phones are roughly 6 months old. Idea is that, compare SGS3 to SGS2 and see what you are getting extra. It's unfair comparing it to GNex.
1] Change in design -- for better or worse, that upto you to decide.

2] Better SoC -- upgraded CPU and GPU.
3] Better resolution, even if you consider the PenTile. If we talk about sub-pixels, we are looking at 60% more sub-pixels compared to RGB matrix in SGS2.
4] Better camera quality even though the resolution is same. Check comparison between SGS3 vs SGS2 camera shots here
5] Bigger battery and more storage options.
I thought they would be able to produce a RGB matrix HD SAMOLED. Clearly, there is still some technical/engineering challenges. Hopefully they will do it in Note 2.
As for 2GB RAM, I would like someone to do a test and figure how many applications running simultaneously are required to fill 1GB.

I agree with the excessiveness of a 12mp camera though. Design is in the eye of the beholder by yes plastic is cheap even Though it has it's advantages. I just hope the phone doesn't get so hot like the sgs2

screen edge to edge

1st phone to feature a well done edge to edge screen will score some major points, that would have been amazing for this phone.

Hi all,
Just a simple question
When SGS2 gets ICS, will it beat Galaxy Nexus?
Please share ur thoughts

I imagine it will take it down a dark alley and slap it around a bit yes....
apart from that, no idea what you are getting at
Yes. Lower res screen, better video and better cpu. Simple as that. I would like a HD screen tho'..
S2 has a better screen, faster processor and SD card expansion slot. It will be better with ICS IMO.
Ofcoz it will!!!
Its GPU is already better, and it has to render less pixels, so it will surely beat it.
depends what you mean by "beat it"
does it really matter though? will you stop enjoying your phone if it is no longer seen as top dog?

By "beat" do you mean like..an older man with daddy issues or performance/software wise? You sound a tad vague.

Graphics performance-wise - the SGSII will blow the Nexus away. CPU wise, the Nexus has a slightly better processor (more memory bandwidth). Go read about it on the Galaxy Nexus forum in general. Nexus actually does have a slightly better CPU

too bad the nexus phones come out 9 months after samsungs flagships do.. what's the point in upgrading to a nexus, when 3 months from now sgs3 will be announced, and rape the prime ..

Yup, if you're the type of person that gets their enjoyment out of being a show off.
Normal people supposedly bought the SGS2 because it fit their needs, how would the Galaxy Nexus make the Galaxy S2 less worthwhile of you? Unless of course, your goal is to have the latest and greatest, in which you should just wait and see which will be better and if the Nexus is better, pay some money and switch.
And I have to laugh at all the SGS2 owners in here defiantly saying the Galaxy Nexus has a poorer screen... sure the Nexus has a PenTile arrangement which on the face of it is a disappointment, but I'd personally wait until I see a Galaxy Nexus in person before passing judgement.
I did and it does not have gradient issue of sgs2 (actually all super amoled plus models, including infuse, i tried not just ours). Nuf said!
That does not mean I'm switching, in fact, no hell!
But screen on sgn is much better, you gotta give them that. Well you don't have to but it's the truth.

Can't agree more, sometimes we tend to rush to judge things too quickly.
And on topic, I do think the SGS2 will be awesome with ICS. Awesome enough to make 90% of SGS2 owners not feel like they need to switch. Think they'll generally still be on the same tier.

No matter which way you put it, the cpu slaps the nexus cpu around and it shows. Played with one today. Also, the screen is better on sgs2. Not hating, just disappointed
It already beats the nexus in terms of hardware and just about everything else... the nexus just has 4G of which isn't even useful to 99% of the world (no ssrsly). Oh and ICS... which isn't that big of a deal at all.
EDIT: Wtf

Do you know anything about either phones, let alone spelling? If you put an 'a' in definitely then you're definitely an a-hole.
P.S. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3621&idPhone2=4219
The SGS2 beats the Nexus in almost everything... :/
Nexus:
No MicroSD
Only 5MP Camera
Only 1.3MP Secondary Camera
No Radio (this is a big letdown to some)
Half as much 'quoted' talk time when compared to the SGS2.
No Gorilla Glass????
Overpriced (given the above)
SGS2:
No 4G
No ICS (Yet)
Hardly an 'Upgrade' from the SGS2.. ICS isn't that much better than Gingerbread. On top of that who really needs 4G?
But hey, don't take it from me, I don't know crap all about the Nexus. Though I do know my own SGS2 inside out.
I agree with 'soraxd' the SGS3 is going to tear the newest iPhone (lol what a joke) to shreds and absolutely squash any hopes of any manufacturer getting even close.
Believe it lol!

I wish I could have as many phones as you.. What do you even need all 3 phones for
I just got this phone without realizing that the skyrocket was better. (I don't have 4g in my area). I recently found out that it was better from a hardware standpoint.
According to AT&T, i have 30 days to swap out the phone (for a fee). Should I go ahead and do it?
My main concern with the Skyrocket, is that it will not have as much development, or ICS roms. Is this valid?
In before op is flame broiled.
Skyrocket isn't better btw.
Why don't you go through both forum and do some reading. No one can or should really tell you what you should do.

I really have, there isn't really a definitive answer as to what will happen in the future. I'm sure that someone knows better than me what will happen.
Actually you have it backwards. The original is better. I have the Sprint version which has the same specs as the original GSII. The skyrocket has a Snapdragon. The original/Sprint versions have the Exynos processor which SMOKES the Snapdragon, especially for games but also for processing things. Also, LTE is a waste of battery; HSPA+ is plenty fast. And you'll get more ROMS for the original since it's basically an i9100T (international GSII with NFC)
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
If your area doesn't even have 4G, then why would you care about the Skyrocket?
Better hardware? I wouldn't say so.
Yes, its processor is 1.5GHz but different chipset.
And beside a bit bigger in size, I don't think it's better in any way.
Anyway, again, this is your phone, it is your choice, make your own decision what best for you.
Just keep the i777, the Skyrocket is NOT better.
As said before, the Exynos mops the floor with the Skyrockets snapdragon.
Personally if I was you I would stick with the phone you have. If you're within your 30 day window and want to change I would go with the galaxy note and not the skyrocket.

Better from a hardware standpoint??? Huh??? All I can suggest at this point is... read bro. Keep reading until the realization hits that your original post is incorrect.

I actually went the other way. I swapped out a skyrocket for the og gs2. Just because the hardware is better on the I777.

I'm gonna give you a final answer:
- 1.2 GHz Exynos Processor (Faster and more efficient, MUCH more powerful Mali 400 GPU) vs 1.5 GHz Snapdragon CPU (1.2 vs 1.5 means nothing; it's a higher frequency to try and compensate for a slower architecture)
- HSPA+ vs LTE; HSPA+ is still very fast and doesn't use any extra battery, whereas LTE uses a LOT of battery (and I know people with a Skyrocket who complain about battery life all the time). You're also not in a 4G area, so it shouldn't matter.
- You're either on a 2GB plan or a [throttled] Unlimited plan, so going with the Skyrocket will either use up your data faster or you'll be throttled regardless.
- The original GSII has the same internals as the i9100T (International Galaxy S II w/NFC), so you'll get MUCH more support than on a Skyrocket.
- Exynos Samsung phones are said to have better quality screens (and it's been shown in the T-Mobile GSII forums [same internals as Skyrocket]).
In other words, go with the original GSII.
Well, from my standpoint (skyrocket owner) The skyrocket definitely looks nicer. The bigger screen in nice, although 4.3" is great as well. You'd think the resolution would be worse than the original, but it is virtually the same. And my eyes are picky, too.
For those of you who say the OG sII is faster, get real. Yes the exynos processor is faster and more efficient on benchmark and spec sheets, but both processors are silky smooth when using the phones in real world circumstances.
In terms of battery life, I have owned both; and I will say that in a non LTE area, they get the same battery life(give or take). In an lte area, the skyrocket will definitely lose, but it will be much, much quicker on the internet
Finally, dev support. Yes the original has great dev support. However because exynos does not support lte, manufacturers will be making more phones with the snapdragon 8860. Which in turn will mean that most devices(and ROMs) that run on 8860 can and will be ported to the skyrocket.
In the end, I chose the skyrocket. Why? Because when I go to sell it in 6-12 months, it will have worked just as well as the original sII, and it will have a much higher resale value due to LTE.

The OG is faster. It has the Mali-400 GPU, which is a hell of a lot more powerful than whatever the Snapdragon's packing. This is coming from someone with a GSII and who also had an Evo 3D for a while. Even if you overclock the 3D's CPU to 1.5 GHz from 1.2, it doesn't hold a candle to the GSII. It's immediately noticeable not only when playing games, but also when processing things. You won't notice it while going through the app drawer, like the guy said, but when you actually DO things, you'll notice.
Obviously Skyrocket fans are going to love their skyrockets and say its better. OG (i777) SGII owners will say they love their phone and its better (because it is )
My thoughts: If you own a i777 and want to trade it in for the Skyrocket, then try it... because if you are even thinking about it, you obviously arent a dev nor do you really use your phone and all its features to the fullest so you probably wont notice any differences under the hood. Whats probably pulling you away is the bigger screen and the white finish. Go ahead and go, go trade it in for the Skyrocket.
One less thread started to ask "why is my battery draining so fast?".

The solution to that would be to go to Sprint and get the Epic 4G Touch, which is basically an i777 with a 4.5 inch screen and also available in white

I wouldn't touch a LTE device right now. I would wait until VoLTE comes included and when they put LTE band support in AWS(1700/2100), PCS(1900) and Cellular(850) bands. In 1 year when 700mhz is saturated, you will have to deal with slower speeds due to At&t's constrained spectrum in that particular band. These above mentioned features will supposedly be supported towards the end of the year or early next year.

WRONG. CPU is only a small part of the portability equation. All of the other peripherals on the device make a difference too. This is why, for example, you'll never see HTC firmwares running on the SR or T989 despite having the same CPU as many HTCs.
Basically, the Skyrocket has a unique hardware configuration that has NOTHING in common with any other device beyond the T-Mobile T989. It only has the CPU in common with other Qualcomm Snapdragon-based phones, and nothing in common with Exynos-based devices.
As an example of what happens when a device has the same CPU but different peripheral hardware - look at the state of the Infuse. It has the same CPU as the Nexus S and original Galaxy S series (other than a small speed bump to 1.2 GHz), but significantly different peripherals, which means it has major trouble leveraging development for other devices with the same CPU.
Also look at the state of development on Infuse - they have almost nothing beyond Hellraised I9000/Captivate ROMs, which they at least have due to that 70% or so hardware commonality with the I9k/Cappy. Note how many of their developers (including myself) got frustrated with the device and gave it up, even with this relatively high commonality. (That remaining 30% was a major pain in the ass... Including a ****ty Bluetooth chipset not used by any other phone on the planet I knew of.) The Skyrocket can, at best, "Hellraise" from the T-Mobile T989 community and that's most likely all it will ever be able to pull from.
Basically, Skyrocket is Infuse v2 - It takes everything that was bad development-wise about the Infuse and makes it even worse.

Galaxy S3.
Do not get Samsung, trust me they do not have the craftsmanship and it's features are mediocre at best. It's exfat is broken and the screen breaks easily thanks to 20% thinner gorilla glass; its very expensive to repair because it is glued on it.
I recommend you phone such as: Motorola DROID razr maxx hd(uses kevlar back cover which is the same material used for bullet proof vest, and it has the largest battery life of android on its size), HTC butterfly if you could get one(has 1080p ips rgb display on 5" size, quad core s4 pro, adreno 320, 2gb ram, microsd, 2nd best camera sensor atm first is lumia 920), the upcoming Sony phone that also has 1080p display and quad core s4 pro. If you want the absolute best that is currently available atm, you cannot get it because it is only available on sprint and the phone is called EVO 4G lte which uses anodize aluminum construction, kickstand, and microsd slot, krait cores, 2nd best camera sensor and the fastest Brower atm(sun spider score on its stock browser is 1.2-1.3k on ics

I think you little hard on Samsung, even I'm not a fan I can see how they won that large market share by providing alot of feature, good hardware and varieties
Motorola is almost rare here in my market, I thought of the Maxx series for the large battery but the Note II battery numbers are really impressive
No More HTC, I've using HTC devices from mid 2010 and the big failure in HTC one X (lousy battery, overheating, poor screen protection, got three scratches without a reason ) and for the record, my touch buttons are not working and I'm having it repaired at the moment by replacing the full touch screen
I think that replied on siwo.jack as well
Lumia 920 I guess it will be great but it yet pretty early to judge and I was for two and half years an android user so I'm not sure about winmo 8
Sony Phablet yet to be available and yet to judge either
EVO 4G lte is an HTC and N/A here
I think you should go for LG optimus LS970 btw you can see its specification on gsm arena

it is amazing and the price is too
but 16 GB most !!
also when it come to my country it will be late and priced to the roof
S3 i would say... and S2 is still a best option
:good: go for s 3 ... nice phone ... Note II is also good option but it all depends how you are going to use it. if you carry it daily S3 and S2 are good options ... Note II lil difficult to carry around daily in some crowded places ... fear to loss it
technically both are best phones ...
So wait bro it will be released soon trust me the phone is a monster

I think while the Samsung Galaxy S3 is great, you can not really go wrong with the new Nexus 4 by Google. The price point is just incredible. Of course, if absence of LTE doesn't bother you.
The big question always is, "what are you going to do with it?". Different people have different priorities. For me, camera/screen is a big factor. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you'll find a better camera on an android phone than the S3.
This beast will be my next phone. The DNA will be passed to my oldest daughter. She'll benefit from all the time it's taken me to unlock, root, s-off, etc and pick up a great device while I get the newest toy! :good:

I agree that EVLeaks has been reliable but the phone in their pics looks like it has a display much larger than 4.99". The phone in the pic looks as big as the N2. That is unless Samsung's only counting usable space vs. including what's dedicated to navigation. If that's it, it certainly doesn't have a lot of personality but I guess when the display is 95% of the front of the phone there's not a lot to work with.
Why is this even in the DNA section?

Wrong forum.
Samsung's build quality doesn't even remotely compare to HTC anyway. And Sense is a million times more attractive than any skin Samsung has developed. So, yawn. Post this in an S3 thread.
How is this possibly the wrong forum? Haters are gonna hate. I've seen multiple thread in here about the HTC One/M7, gaming performance, the Playstation 4, etc, etc., but two of the first four replies say it's the wrong forum? Please. This is general as in generally, anything in reason can be discussed.
Now to respond to the intelligent responses- the aspect ratio and the rumored 4.99" screen size are just rumors. The benchmark that was posted is from an unreleased model number and may never see the day of light. The Note 2 is extremely popular and it makes sense to meld the two lines without a complete merge. This looks like an improved N2 without a pen. Besides, how can the aspect ratio be wrong if the only quasi-official spec on the screen is "full HD?"
It's either a great render or it's legit; look at the camera lens size compared to the N2 and S3: http://versusio.com/en/samsung-galaxy-note-2-vs-samsung-galaxy-s3

Haha.. Because it says "Droid DNA General" at the top, and you are talking about a phone that is not only NOT a Droid DNA, but it isn't even made by the same manufacturer. How is it even remotely the correct forum? Posts about the One/M7 are at least understandable because they are also HTC, and the most recent follow-up to the Droid DNA, and there is not yet a forum dedicated to the One/M7. As I said, your post would be more appropriate in the S3 forum. The only purpose behind posting in this one is to stir up the "haters" to which you refer.

Newer processor. Likely an Exynos 5 octo-core everywhere but the US..... where it will have a snapdragon 600 (same processor as the HTC One) due to US carriers preference of Qualcomm. I could see the US variants getting bumped up to 4GB of RAM.
That being said...... I'll stick with my DNA.
Well this processor talk is not really my cup of tea, well and don't much about it but DNA is fast enough for me and I'm good. How come the op didn't get this excited over the m7. It has the same specs but camera.
Processor may be good but they seriously need to get away from crapoled screens. Figured they would have. And the device in the picture looks to be WAY bigger than 5 inches. It looks Note 2 sized. If that is the case, no dice.

Processor will most likely be a little faster. Not much improvement really. The s4 will probrably have more developer support if your into that kind of thing. Removable battery to upgrade to extended battery or replace the battery if needed.

Merging the lines doesn't make sense. It looks exactly like the note 2. If they wanted to look slow they make a note 5.0... Also full hd means it's going to be 1080p which is a 16:9 aspect ratio. Which it does not have. It's either a ****ty render or a soon to be failed phone. And get ready for the " is that the note 2" question... Also the octa processor has eight cores but only 4 used at once. It has 4 a15 cores and 4a7 cores i believe. The a7 are for lower priority tasks. This is Samsung's attempt to conserve power. But they mislead consumers alot with saying eight cores. I hope the s4 looks like the s3 only a tiny bit bigger at most. Merging with the note looks is retarded

The M7 was a minor refresh to the DNA. It still has the same storage problems and they actually went down in screen size. In these days of them making 60 and 90" HDTVs, HTC is heading in the wrong direction. The M7's camera also went in reverse in camera megapixels, but many are reporting excellent image quality with the new technology it's using. Lastly, even though the battery life on the DNA has been surprisingly good, I like being able to pull my battery if needed for dev stuff and throw in a spare when away from juice for a while.
The main reason I'm excited for this phone is I know the AOKP ROM will be on it in about two weeks after release. I used it on my GNex and my S3 and will my S4. The DNA has been a great phone (especially with Viper on it) while I waited for the S4, but I always knew it was a transitional device for me.

You're kind of right. Octa is 4+4, a quad-core A7 teamed with a quad-core A15. It's the first commercial implementation of ARM's new big.LITTLE design which has been in development for two years. This explains Octa (big.LITTLE) if anyone's interested.

As for the EVLeak pics, they're fake. It was a place holder mock-up done by Expansys in preparation for the SGS4 launch. Too bad, the design in those pics would definitely be good for HTC.
"But the @evleaks tweets were quickly discredited after Expansys said that the diagrams that had been tweeted actually came from its own site - and that they were its artists' impressions of what a Galaxy S4 might look like, rather than actual pictures."
HTC is way better
Let's throw this thread way off track, and talk about something a little more interesting Who's going to buy the Xbox 720 when it comes out @ the end of the year?? The rumored specs sound pretty impressive.

I know officially mhl is not supported on galaxy alpha
For curiosity's sake and confirmation - will someone please plug in an mhl cable and test if there's any hdmi video signal to the monitor?
Many thanks!

Nope, it won't work. I have one that I use for my Samsung Tab Pro 10,1, and it doesn't output anything on the Galaxy Alpha. I was actually amazed when it didn't mostly becuase Samsung seems to have cut corners everywhere on this device besides the chassis.
Thank you for testing that out..
I had been contemplating on galaxy alpha as it is on clearance... with the lack of community development for this device...I guess I'll give it a miss and see what does S6 have for offer

I shelled out for the Alpha, 0/10 wouldn't do again. Good choice on a flagship that will at least get support with time. This is horrendous. I really need to learn compiling roms. There's like NO development for this device. I should have learned by now not to buy niche products.

What problems your alpha has? At least mine works like charm, no need for CM or any other custom rom... This is first Android for me that I haven't rooted. Usually people need an software update or custom ROM, when the device has something missing and/or something is not working properly.

Well for starters, when I listen to music from Google Play and the device goes into sleep in the pocket it starts lagging, lol. It only stops when it has fully switched onto the smaller processor, I guess? To me that's bad coding. TouchWiz is still clunky and too colorful for my liking, and the dark blue color is just not to my liking either. The screen is not THAT good either, I would have expected them to use a more expensive amoled on this one but hell, can't have it all, I can live with it.
I bought it for the looks and I hoped more people, devs and such, would be willing to buy it. Samsung makes decent products, their software is absolute bollocks if you ask me. Like I said, I took a chance and bought a device that at the time didn't have any development going for it, and to this day it still hasn't.
I am really happy that you enjoy your Sammy device, even if to me it sounds like you have a bloated up phone due to no root. But I guess there is something for everyone. How ever I must ask you to understand that I don't look for the same as you, apparently do, from the phone. I want stock vanilla or CM on my device because I find it more soothing. My Exynos tablet finally got it and I was hoping this phone would too.. So yes, I took two chances with Samsung now. The first one ended well but I feel like this one isn't going to work out quite as well. I say these things solely because I enjoy these things in a phone. We're simply different people and you do not need to understand me or see the display the way I do, for instance.
I do not intend to squash your enjoyment of your device at all. I am really happy that you enjoy your phone. How ever when I look at the display and the software, I find it lacking for the price, and I know that CM or vanilla would at least ease me off a bit.

It is just first time, that bloated samsung crapwized phone works like it should.... At least I use most of samsung stuff... for fun mostly... Of course I have disabled mymagazine and s-voice, because they were slowing things down, but on most part it works. And cm rom is on the way and it will be nice, light and smooth as all of them just wait and see. BTW even nexus 5 is slowed by battery-draining, sometimes laggy Google services. So I would agree that good cm port is better than any stock rom. Problem with our device is custom hardware. For instance wolfson sound processing hub, exynos octa 9 (or more) core processor with 4+4+1+.... cores for everything, custom camera sensor, heart rate monitor, independent intel modem.... and so on, makes it hard for developers to work, but is awesome when they take their time. You should hear what that wolfson chip is capable of when it is de-restricted and reprogrammed to use all functions it has.
All this makes me think that this phone has received much R&D money than half of devices they have released this year together.
P.S. To be honest I usually brake stuff, but i bought this, because it was small and light, had 1 year free screen insurance, wolfson sound, OLED screen (the newest gen ALMOLED tech with diamond matrix was a bonus), durability (small samsungs are strong and it has GG4 on the screen), camera (sensor and software) and power (THAT exynos).

I do know the processor in theory should be great. But because Samsung is not releasing anything useful we can't take advantage. And I'm sorry to say this but progress is stalling like a boss on the unofficial port of CM11, which if I might add is already an older edition of CM than what is currently being dev'd by the Cyanogen boys.. Not to mention by the time it's done it's going to be even older. I appreciate the effort but it's a very slow progress, it's not the devs fault, it's Samsung's fault.
By the way, once again, I'm glad you enjoy the heart rate thingy and such but I really don't need it. I just wanted the metal chassis and the perfect size factor of this device. A some what sturdy built Samsung for once. Not too plasticky. The thing you mention about "new display technology" I don' really follow. PenTile is so freaking weird when it comes to the green subpixels. I will still hold my ground on that I can see that fitfh less green in each subpixel. I've described this as "stitching" effect earlier. The way you can see on a solid icon for instance, that the red color is not "level" all the way down, it's more of a line of sown pixels. It can be seen on white text too, it's like the edges of the text blurs into a dark background. On such a small display I'm certain that 720p would look more clear in an LCD display with protoPenTile, RGBW or an IPS display. But I'm really nitpicking the display here and like I said, when I'm at a fair distance of the display I don't notice it and I can live with it. It's just my brain is annoying me with the fact that it's THERE, lol.
Don't brake your phone this time then, that's too expensive a phone for that.
