ok. i;ve done it.
i tried to install v10c europe unbranded and kdz updater gave me a param error and now my phone is completly dead. it doesnt start at all.
can i recover it somehow?
kdz updater doesn't see it any longer.
Does it show anything at all. Does the screen display the LG or android logo?
Try the hard reset. Press Vol down+Home+PowerButton till you see the LG logo come up. If things are fine then the phone should reset itself to original state.
Best of Luck.
BTW, did you again flash in CDMA and DIAG mode?
it doesnt start at all.
i dont know how to enter emergency mode.
it doesnt hard reset or anything. it looks dead.
i flash in 3g and diag.
Pretty strange that nothing comes up.
Just to experiment, when you plug in the charger (AC) does the phone begin to charge (do you seen the battery indicator come up).
And hopefully someone more experience will turn up and help you. I really don't have much idea...
I think you will find this useful http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-gt540-optimus-gt540-modaco-com/321895/faq-gt540-reference-thread/
Remove battery and leave it few hours without it. After that run KDZ_UPD, configure (i think 3gs, diag, select FW - look on some how-to) without battery plug USB and press vol down+home and power on and still hold untill recovery appear. Then still try connect via KDZ.
I hope, that it will wokrs.
i will try to keep the battery out for a few hours.
i've tried to connect without battery and keep the buttons to start but with no luck.
the phone looks dead!
how can i enter emergency mode?
Is it start? Or if you press power button, is something happened or dipslay of phone is just black? If so, then probably nothing will help and you will have to send it to warranty service.
absolutly nothing happens. no power at all. not even when i plug in the charger.
will lg fix it for me? it was bought on 15 december this year, it has 3 days.
can they see that i have tried to flash another rom?
well that is why I don't play around with the kdz updater.
everyone ends up with their phone bricked at some point.
Try to get in emergency mode back+up volume+power.
Tell me if it works.
it doesnt get in emergency mode.
I had same problem with mine P500.I was tried to update to v10d something went wrong I got some errors and after few more tries my phone was completely dead.I was lucky and my phone was changed by operator.
I did some research before carrying it back to operator and it seems that the only way to resurrect phone is JTAG.But how to do it i have no idea if it can be done at all.
You can find some info here wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=JTAG_for_Dream/Magic[/url
If emergency mode doesn't work....(wait for someone with more exp to post :/ )
Kdz updater working fine. I try 3 different fw and have no problem.

Same as me. I flashed 2-tikes without any problema.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
tell me please. if the phone is dead like i say, can they see that i have flashed another rom?
or should i take it to warranty with no worries?

Since you were flashing with original LG firmware, they shouldn't raise much issue. Just don't tell them that you used the KDZ updater....
BTW did you try the CS_Emergency under Phone Mode in the KDZ updater.
also dont give them the guilty look
the phone is completly dead, not detected by computer, even when i plug it in without battery holding vol up+back. NOTHING.
i think i will not have a problem at warranty because i think that the mb is surged, they dont have how to see that i have flashed, an official rom after all.
now, shoul i take it to lg? or to the retail store?
Hey, This is my first post so hopefully i didnt pick the wrong section to write in
So here it is.. A while ago my phone started acting crazy.. voice command started up.. turned off, started up again.. MTP started ( like i was plugging in USB cable) on and off and on and off again.. This was after i had rooted my phone for the first time.. but i was on stock rom at that point when all happend..
Now when im trying to charge my phone it takes like 30-60 sec till it starts charging.. same when i unplug the phone, takes 30-60 seconds for the phone to realise that there is no cable connected to the phone..
Can't turn off the phone.. when i turn it off its black for a few seconds then the samsung logo pops up and the phone boots up again.. and some times when i turn off the phone the battery logo appears and it shows that the battery is over heated..
This is what i have tryed:
- Re flashing, alot of diffrent roms
- Factory reset
- Format System, sd card, data
- Flash back to stock rom
Thx / Wrix
I remember seeing this issue in a few threads last year. Check this thread out as it lokos to be the same issues they were having http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1174291&page=6
It seems some had to return their device and others were able to get it working again by cleaning out the micro usb port with a toothbrush. Worth trying. If nothing works, maybe you will have to return it. Hopefully not though
Thx alot.. Will take a look at the link you posted and see if there is something i can do to fix this issue.. hopefully i wont have to send it in to repair cuz i have rooted it.. dunno if samsung can see that if i use USB Jig ? hopefully not but will try with toothbrush to see if it works!
Again thx alot for the advices
EDIT: Toothbrush didnt work at all ;(
/Wrix
Just make sure you reset the counter and you should be fin returning it.
Your device should still be under warranty. I'd wipe, flash the stock ROM that you had on it when you bought it and use the jig if you have one. Then see about getting it returned. Good luck!
Here's the situation:
My sister did something bad about her phone(x10 mini pro).
It has a newly installed stock rom (the phone used to have cyanogen but she told me to revert it back to stock).
She told me that all she did was install SonyEricsson Xperia Flasher on her machine and used it to flash her x10 mini pro. The flasher tells her that it is succesfull but when she turned off her phone for a restart, the phone does not turn on anymore. I have tried charging the battery overnight as well as using a different working battery but it does not help. Pressing the power button does nothing. No led light, no vibration, nothing. I have also tried different button combo(tried almost any combination) found here in forums but it does nothing as well.
I bought this device to a tech guy which is in a mall and he is charging me Is there something else I can do to fix thing device without spending? Is there another way other than unbrickin it with JTAG?
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Edit:
SEUS does not help because the phone cannot be detected when plugged in because it doesnt turn on and yes, I tried using a different usb cable.
I think my sister flashed the wrong kernel.
Does the battery charge (green LED)?
Do you know someone with the same phone? Try his/her battery. I had this problem too once, it would not turn on or anything, untill i tried to insert another battery. Then it started up and all. After clear battery stats, it worked again with my own battery.
This gives me the assumption, that is has something to do with battery stat (doh') - therefore all guides about doing a SEUS or other stock flash, should also instruct users to do a clear battery stat before the stock-flash.
Any one correct me on this if i'm totally wrong

The Experia Flasher is not for the 2010 devices i think, so she may well have flashed the wrong firmware. SUS doesn't need to detect the phone, if you choose update and it can't recognise the phone it offers a repair option, this lets you choose the model yourself, it will download the proper firmware and all you have to do is connect your phone in flash-mode (ie hold the back-button while you plug in the usb-cable).
But she may well have bricked it properly and in that case, JTagging it is the only option to get it back up and working.
Screen-shots are from the old PC Companion, byt they still looks very much like them in the new version

It doesnt help because when Im in the part where it says, press the back button while inserting the usb, the phone cannot be detected and so the update cannot continue.
Hi there!
This thread is my last hope, so please dont let me down folks...:cyclops:
The story short - one sunny morning i turned on my HTC Nexus One and it got stuck with te X on the screen for about 15 minutes, non of the buttons responded, so i did the first thing that came in my mind - i pulled out the battery. After inserting the battery the phone went full brick, i mean literally, no reaction on anything, even conected to the wall charger, there is no sign of life, no charging LED, nothing. Connected to the PC, it says USB device not recognised.
I dont think this is a hardware proble, the phone workwd fine until this interrupted power on. Phone runned on stock Androud, i have not played aroun with it - no bootloader unlock, no rooting.
I searched the internet for a solution, tried a lot of button combinations like in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069032
but still no luck, i cannot restore or flash it while my PC does not recognise the phone.
Found some info about those Usb Jig things, but they work only on Samsung phones, so, is there a way to force the phone to go in recovery mode, or give any sign of life so i can try to recover it or flash a diferent ROM?
The warranty has ended, so no hope there.
Hope there is a way out of this, and, sory for my bad english. :good:

Well no, bricked is a term used when you are rooted and flash a bad rom, kernel, etc. You have no root, so you cannot be "bricked". Just a software failure, you cannot flash another rom because, again, you have no root or custom recovery. Your best bet is trying to send it back to your carrier and get it replaced

The warranty time is out, so there is no help from the carrier, unless for cash...
But there must be a way to bring it back to life.

Now the screen may not show, but try booting into fastboot mode by press and hold the Trackball+Power buttons together.
I'm not sure about the nexus one, but newer nexus devices have factory images, supplied by Google. If they exist for the nexus one, you should be able to save your device by flashing them through fastboot. That is if the images exist and you can get to fastboot.

Hi guys,
I was flashing my S10 by Odin, using USB-C connector which is also charging the laptop.. (why didnt use the second one I idiot??)
Odin sudently stoped flashing, stuck maybe on 90% and I was waiting more then hour, but flashing did not succesful, if laptop discharged the battery and switched off.
Samsung is totaly dead, I tried everything like get to recovery mode, Odin mode, leave the battery fully discharged, unplug and replug battery... No any sign of life. PC doesn't see it..
It seems there is nothing I can do for unbrick it, but maybe YOU know some trick that may rescue my phone...?
Is it possible that some box as Octoplus or some like that will be working for my problem?
Many thanks for any idea, Regards, Tomas.
I would recommend trying to return to manufacturing (RMA) the phone just explain that it's hardware bricked doesn't turn on etc and you should get a new phone. How ever if they find out that you tried to flash custom software on your phone your warranty is voided and you might have to buy a new phone.
download official firmware and flash every file except for HOME CSC using Odin. This should revert you back to stock rom and allow you to boot properly.
It's not normal that flashing takes so long in first place.
Something already went wrong while it was still flashing.
My S10 flashes in like 10 minutes completely.
That's strange anyway because mine stopped one or two times flashing
causing a soft brick but I always could enter Download Mode again and reflash.
I'd basically never flash with a notebook not connected to a charger
but in your case I think you could wait even more hours and nothing would happen anymore.
One exception could be that you flashed the wrong firmware.
I wouldn't send it to Samsung if that's the case (in my opinion).
Just don't do such stuff if you don't know what you are doing and learn from it.
A honest option is to aquire a device with broken display and ideally broken back glass and change the motherboard.
It's not that difficult and you could exchange the battery e.g.. (plus it's fun)
Thanks for all answers.
Unfortunately, the rom I flashet was stock and 100% right for my phone. Downloaded from sammobile.
Also now I'm not able to flash anything because PC does not see my phone when connected...not any sound and Odin wont show that device is connected.
One more information-I'm not some fish to do something what I dont know about..my job is technician in mobile phone repair servis and shop. But 99% repairs I'm doing is hardware repair- like broken LCD change, battery change, charging connector repair by soldering... Sometimes software repair of course, I flashed by Odin many many times, but flashing takes max 10 minutes.. this is why used charging port co connect the phone. There was some another problem I'm sure.
Anyway thanks for your answers.
I'll send the bricked phone on eBay, maybe somebody have the right tool to make it done.
Thx again.
