I would like to ask a simple question to XDA....Why is Dropzeroc not a recognized DEV? He has the best rom out for Evo 3D, and the best rom out for Evo 4G, what else does the man have to do?
Honestly whats the point of recognized dev status...

on a serious note though, there could be many reasons as to why he does not have RD status...
like he hasn't even applied yet....has a previous infraction against him still in effect or some other dispute behind the scenes which you would not know about.....OR another very likely thing, is that the Developer Committee hasn't gotten around to his application yet as they are swamped with the current crop of submissions...they take it very seriously and are very thorough in reviewing it all....everyone here has a life outside XDA too...

Ummm where have you been? It's the only Rom with CRT that's 2.17 firmware based, and by far the best Sense 3.0 experience out the box...

There is no "best ROM out there" because that is solely an opinion. To me the GT Version of ZR3D is one of the fastest if not THE fastest 2.17 based ROM here, and the skins on both normal and GT are above all.
But...that's an opinion. (A damn good one though if I may say )
2.17 is old school, it's all about 4.0! :b no need to bash him but yeah there is no best ROM, I could care less what features a rom has that no other has, I'm sure other DEV's could do it too...

Right... As far as user experience goes, its all opinion... But there truly is no best Rom, they're all great, and the devs take a lot of their personal time to build these roms... They all deserve thanks, and respect....

Every time I read through topics there is always drama. This is why more and more devs hate on this community. I was disappointed by the bliss rom being removed as well. Anyway, was grateful for the work that was done!
Still trying to understand why people are even messing with the Bliss stuff. The Runnymede is the full sense 3.5 for high end devices like what we have while the 3.5 for bliss is for the lower end ones.
Just seems like a waste less you really are gun-ho about that bliss rosie.

I think we need to have a WTF happened? forum. Because this is starting to be a reoccurring issue and I would like to know what happened or why a project suddenly got shut down. I was also wondering what happened to the bliss port. Thank you OP for starting this here and thank you Armenian6000 for clarifying what happened.
Just as long as it get done by someone. Every time I see it, I start following to keep up with the progress and poof it's gone, there was a big blowup in the OG evo section before I got my 3D. I'll just keep looking out for it.

Again what's the big hoopla over the Bliss ports? He bc it seems people don't understand the real deal 3.5 sense for highend phones is what's on the Runnymede and the Bliss is for lower end phones.

Same here. I didn't dl the rom, but i did read the thread... The guy that posted the bliss port a; stated that it was not his work, b; said to thank the og's; c; stated multiple times throughout the thread who to thank.

Can't speak for everyone else, I just like trying everything out there and forming my own opinion of what I'd like to use. I may like Runnymede when it's all said and done. Until I try them both the question still stands for me.

Yeah... please don't. Usually it just backfires because no one will want to help you after being tricked in to clicking on your thread. Plus it's a very good way to pick up an infraction and possibly have your ability to post restricted or get yourself banned.
The Q&A section is there to help keep things organized and uncluttered. The search button would probably be much faster though.

And S-OFF doesn't help with AOSP roms. It's the RIL that matters. I think the devs need the actual source code from HTC to get that one working.

I understand what you're asking and its a valid question, but no I don't think s off will affect CM9 all that much. We will get AOSP, and its getting closer because devs have agreed to work on it. But in my opinion, the s on s off situation wasn't the magic ticket for a bunch of devs who were anxiously awaiting working on the rezound. Having s off definitely won't hurt, but I just don't think that was the reason it hasn't happened yet.
I hope the community appreciates guys like dmeadows who put a lot of time into getting us AOSP and making sure the momentum stayed moving forward. There were some others too but I remember d off the top of my head. Thanks to protekk for taking on the RIL project.

I think the problem is that people can't have a disagreement while being respectful. People should remember that just because you say something or think it doesn't mean it's right. I think Kid rock said in one of his songs "I'm wrong, but you ain't right". People just need to be nice to each other, but hiding behind a monitor and internet connection gives people huge ego's. Same as any other forum really, but this place should be different as we are all here to help each other, or should be at least.

I agree, we don't have to flame anyone regardless of how stupid the question. What should be done is if someone ask something obvious, just copy paste the link to the thread and a friendly comment about the search button. We were all noobs once and had these same questions. It's just nice to have some personal direct input sometimes.

dont judge the entire forum by the actions of a few trolls. we are plenty willing to help. take a look at some of the roms posted here and get a feel for what each of them offer. each person wants something different.

No, im not a noob that wants to know how to create a custom rom. I would actually want to create one, but the job seems pretty tough for one person. I wanted to organize a team of people (no name yet) to help create a custom rom- a rom that blows the minds of evo 3d users. its no easy task, thats why im looking for experienced users to help me create one. Give me a pm or reply to this thread if your interested.
