Hard Case w/ Smart Cover - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Has anyone found anything similar? I'm not a huge fan of leather cases as they never seem to fit properly. I'm probably being too picky but here's what I'm looking for:
Hard back cover - if leather it mustn't be flimsy or overly bulky
Clip to all corners of the tablet - the ones that only clip on the top and sides always seem to slide off.
Thin is a plus
Some means of standing the tab in one or more position is a positive
Absolutely no velcro anywhere
Prefer to not covered any part of the screen - black part included
I'd be content with something like an otterbox commuter with a kickstand. Or a nice portfolio cease that clips on all corners and magnetizes closed.
What have you found?

Thanks for the link. Do you own one of these? It's difficult to judge from the website. Can you answer a few questions.
I like that it connects on 4 corners but does the bottom two corners not slip off to stand it up? If so, does the device ever slide down (this has been my experience with other devices)? How difficult is it to pop the bottom corners off? Seems like it'd eventually damage the bottom of the device.
Does it close by means of a clasp or a bungy cord?
How bulky is it?

Yes, I own one.
Yes, the bottom two corners clip off to stand it up but it doesn't/can't slide down, the side clips are tight to prevent this. It's not actually difficult to clip off the bottom corners, indeed they really just sit in place to hold the device - to be honest, if you cut them off the Prime would still not slip straight out.
It clasps closed at the top centre, by the camera. Just like the corners really, it clips over the top.
Some people might be concerned about securing/removing the clasp or corners will damage the device. I don't think this will happen though, the material is soft and nothing requires a lot of force.
It's not too bulky, it feels good in my hands. It's quite stiff (not floppy) which I like and it has some good padding which adds to the bulk but it's perfectly acceptable to me. It's also very light.
I received it last Thursday and really do love it. I hate cases but felt I needed one because the Prime is tender. Most of the cases I've seen are not so nice but I really do like this one (for the price).
Here's the expensive version:

Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it. I'm going to shop a little more but I'm definately leaning towards the case you bought (not spending $80 on a case...lol). If you think of anything, good or bad, in the next few days please let me know.

This case - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006PWGESY/ref=aw_d_detail?pd=1 - looks identical to the minisuit case mentioned earlier in this thread. Makes me think they're made by the same company or private labeled.

Yep, they're all the same, check out the video review on YouTube for the Blurex version.

I have had the Poetic Case for the 201 and keyboard and have been relatively happy, the only exception being I didn't like how much thickness and bulk it added. Yesterday I got my Sikai Case and so far I am pretty happy.
One piece, when you have the keyboard attached it covers all of it, when you don't there is a minimal bit of extra material where the hinge cover is. Overall it is a pretty good bit of kit, fits nice and tight on all four corners of the tablet, and seems to stand acceptably by itself.
FWIW I think a good deal for the price.
Cheers,
P

The back is hard plastic, leather wrapped.
Unless your saying you already have the HTC case and you need something to go over it. If that's the case, I'd say probably not since most everything is made to fit the device by itself.
It´s the leather wrapped plastic case. At the moment I am using it together with the original white leather case. It´s a little bit tight-fitting but it works.
By the way, pay a little attention to Flyer cases who fits too tight;
1. They may cause stains especially at the top and bottom parts (rubbing with some diluted IPA or cologne water will do the trick)
2. I've also faced an interesting problem. The cases that fully cover the tablet makes the G-sensor not work. Like in the pic.
Therefore it seems, one has to use cases that hold or cover the tablet from the edges.
Is it real leather ? How does it feel ?
This guy has the rotating one for $7.99 shipped and he's i n the USA. It just has a slight imprint of the rotating side on it from back packing from China. You won't find it anywhere else under $12 now let alone from a US seller. My luck, the guy went on vaca before shipping mine out. Quite peeved. Would've spent a few dollars more and gotten something from Amazon with Prime like this one.. Great case. Have the same one for the Transformer and Icona A500.
I bought the $7.99 rotating case and its great. It actually has a hard shell mount with a leather (synthetic I presume) covering.... great looking ,great function, great price.

Same experience here.
Hi,
After months of putting it off (whilst discovering more and more cases coming onto the market all the time) I went for this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/StilGut-Ult...5QZ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321807531&sr=8-1
At £34.90 not cheap but:
*I wanted the corners protecting, rather than all the edges and not the corners like it seems many flyer cases have...
*wanted a pen holder that protected the nib a little better (but now I can see it doesn't actually fully protect the nib)
*Superb build quality, lovely leather smell!
*Very simple design.
*The screen is completely unhindered, which I also thought was a plus compared to some designs where the case can encroach on the touchscreen.

Looks like I got a more expensive, but identical product to this:

Always the case... (sorry, no pun intended)

When the front flap is closed is it a very tight fit against the the Flyer's screen?
I ask this because I have exactly the same case but the outside is in a imitation carbon fibre material & it is very tight fitting so much so that the flap would put too much pressure on the screen & I'm afraid in the long term it will cause damage.

This one I bought is yummy leather with a spongy cushion feel... The fit is tight but just kind of catches the curved side of the body, firm, but not too firm IMO... I don't expect it to damage the screen or even the body at all.

How about this hard case?
Hi,
XDA wouldn't let me post the url so please search google "flyer skin case" and the first post from amazon is the one I'm talking about.
Anyone tried this? I'm debating between the 360 which I think is very handy to have and a case which is less bulky and can fit in my pockets. Yes, I can fit the flyer in my pockets .
Thanks!
My case came in today, the supposedly dented one from ebay had not dent at all. Going to look good on my flyer once it comes in

Its hard rubber as the one your talking about is flexible rubber, they both have the same feeling. It also has a face plate that secures the case on tight. Its on Prime so free 2 day ship.
Im waiting for the otterbox case to come in the mail. From the 100 or so cases I looked at it seemed to be the best.

[Q] Best TPU(ish) Case "thin and light" - Poll

Ok, so i've see a lot of great threads on cases and some really good reviews too and now my OCD is starting to kick in.
Which case is the best? I'm looking for something durable, light, and thin. Preferably TPU or some sort of soft and flexible material NOT silicone.
Pretty much i'm looking for the same case as what i had on my captivate, the mirage by bodyglove.
I've got a few different cases that i'm trying to decide between but i'm having a problem making the final decision.
I'm asking YOU, fellow SGS2-ers, to help me decide. Place your vote and leave a note (hey that rhymes!) and i will be sure to post a detailed review of the case if one hasn't been made already (or contribute to one that already exists)!
Thanks!

And off we go!
Great roundup you've got there. I have the TPU-Case and love it, but hard to say it's the best without trying the others.
I would certainty recommend it though!
I've got the case mate barely there bushed aluminum and I really like it. I didn't think I would but I'm so. It's nice and thin and covers the phone well. It adds a little weight but to me it actually makes the phone feel better.

mine already broke by the volume rocker and the aluminum dents REALLY easily, its a very nice case though
I have this Incipio case:
http://www.myincipio.com/Samsung-Ga...-II-ATandT-NGP-Semi-Rigid-Soft-Shell-Case.asp
It is very nice quality, and fits perfectly. It does however have an small cutout for the international version's lanyard. It is really small though, so not too big of a problem. Some of the ones I have seen have the whole corner cutout for the international version (Ringke cases had this problem, which is why I did not choose that one). That seems like a huge problem to me, since if you drop it, the entire corner is exposed.
Hope this helps
I also have the Incipio and while it fits great (I did modify it to make a hole for the NC Mic), I'm not liking the extra effort required to turn the phone on or off. That action is already difficult enough with no case, but it's made even more difficult with the NGP.
Thanks for bringing to light this Incipio case. I just bought it. It looks like they fixed the problem with covered NC microphone. Now the cutout for it looks huge to fit AT&T and International version. Maybe they improved power button as well.

Thanks for linking that case, i haven't seen that one yet. I'll take a closer look at it and see if i can find a detailed review.
A quick google search led me to this good video review of the Incipio NGP (a TPU case). Looks to be a little dated though, the model they show on the Incipio webpage has a larger cutout for the NC mic and a color they didn't mention in the video. Still worth a look though.

I was heavily considering the Rearth Ringke but i read about some people having trouble with the case splitting apart on them due to small drops (see the Ringke thread here) and i decided to go with the SGP Ultra Capsule instead. I might also pick up the TPU-Case from Amazon just for the sake of having something to compare the SGP against.
I get super slow shipping so i'll put some pictures up in a week or so.

New (I think) Silicone case for Transformer

Hey guys, I just ordered a couple of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Skque-Black-Silcone-Transformer-TF101/dp/B006JJ8ZU8/ref=sr_1_45?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323510433&sr=1-45
I've been looking for a while, there's not many silicone cases for the transformer and I haven't seen these posted here so I thought I would share. They have a few different colors and they don't have a funky design on the back. I'll snap some pics when they get in and add them here along with a mini review.
That looks a lot like the Sikai case but is only $8 compared to $17! Nice!
Hmm, I wonder if you could chop off some silicone to make it compatible with the dock (although I guess it wouldn't close all the way still).

I just got the case delivered today. There are no cut out for the volume and power buttons, they are coverd with raise tabs so u know which is which. I prefer this way to cover the buttons so less chance of grime getting into those slots. The fit is good very snug but if u hold it in portrait mode the sides tend to strech out a bit, wish it covered more of the tablet. Very nasty smell on first use and so far don't seem to have much issues with lint.
I will most likely use this at home as both of my portfolio cases tend to put too much weight on the tablet. For 8 bucks what is not to like?

No, the sides are loose, you can move them with your thumb. What you need is probably a hard shell back cover case that is tight against the edges (or a portfolio case), don't know if they make them. these covers don;t really do any protection except for scratches on the back, you drop them any distance your tablet is history.

Incipio DualPro Case Review.

Here is my quick review of the new Incipio DualPro Case. First I want to say sorry for the blurry pics. Wasn't taken with the best camera, but I wanted to get this up now.
Right off the bat this case feels great. It's almost gel-like. It's made of a hard shell, and very soft inner part, but both feel the same. It's like a feltish feel. Reminds me of the Nexus One's back. Even though it was hard plastic, it had that soft touch feel to it. The buttons are extremely easy to press thanks to the soft inside material being the cover instead of the hard outer shell, or individual pieces like the Spigen Neo-Hybrid. The overall thickness is also less compared to both the Neo-Hybrid and the Spigen Slim Armor. It almost feels like the naked phone without a case.
The cutouts are spot on too. Just like the Slim Armor. No complaints overall. Again the headphone port has a deep cutout, so you will need an extension, or just use headsets with thin jacks. Anything larger than the headphones that came with it won't fit. The camera is tucked in just enough, so there is no fear of it contacting any surface when put down, and the front is thick enough to protect any sort of surface if laid face down. I'm really happy with this case. For me it's a toss up between the Slim Armor and this with the Neo-Hybrid last. Both the Slim Armor and DualPro feel great in the hand, but the DualPro feels a bit better with the super soft touch feel. Great case that you can't go wrong with. The color is Cyan.

Thanks for the pictures & review, this may be my kind of case. One question though, how is the gripping on the sides? All I need in a case now is one that provide sufficient grip, since the Note 3 is so thin and slippery on the sides that sometimes it literally slides off my hands/grip.
The grip on the sides Isn't super slick but I wouldn't call it grippy either. I'd try and check it out in a VZW store first hand. My only complaint is the TPU insert doesn't have much rigidity around the home button and the speaker. So it snags and doesn't stay snug so to speak.
I'm probably going to return mine when my Uag arrives

This is the only case so far that I'm really having an easy time holding. The Slim Armor was the best I thought, but this one is just a perfect increase in size over the naked phone. The rubbery texture is more than enough to grip. When you first put it on it may feel a bit slippery, but it's just the talcom powder they use in the molds for the silicone to be easy to get out. I wiped mine down, and now it's a soft rubbery grippy feeling case. I really like it a lot. Plus the sides are curved. There are no corners that you need to grip against like the Neo-Hybrid or Slim Armor. It's a very natural feeling to hold it since your fingers wrap the entire case. One bonus feature I found for me is the entire bottom is the very soft inner case, and the way I hold the phone I tend to put my pinky under the bottom as a brace. The soft gel really is easy on my finger. The other two case are hard on the bottom, and I would have to keep moving my pinky to stay comfy.

That's a good additon to mention. The top and bottom are both just the soft inner case. There is no hard outer shell to keep it pressed against the phone, so if you tend to put it in your pocket I can see it getting caught and pulled when you try to pull it out, but overall with it being on the case and used, it doesn't "wobble or flipflop" by itself. It's stiff enough to stay put, but easy enough to pull away with a slight tug.
Ah yeah I wasn't clear. It stays put until it snags coming in and out of my pocket. It's merely an annoyance.
My favorite thing about the case is how comfortable it is. Holding the phone naked now feels sharp and uncomfortable.

Looks great!! Thanks for the review and your initial thoughts on it! Looks really good on your white GN3! I also bought a white GN3, so this is perfect for keying me know how this will look on mine! Thank you!!
One thing, you should put a link in the OP so readers can easily find this case, instead of having to search the web for it. Other than that, which you can easily fix with an edit, excellent review!

How'd you get your case so quickly? I pre-ordered directly from incipio.com about 2 weeks ago and still haven't received a shipping notice.
EDIT: Oh, apparently the blue and pink versions are shipping NOW, but the neutral white and black versions are taking a little longer. Ah well.

I'm special. LOL Yeah just as your edit said. I check sites daily, and when I see them in stock I order ASAP. That's how I get all my case in before everyone. I check first thing in the morning (around 8). I find I can order in the morning with "in stock" stuff, and by afternoon they are already out of stock.
I picked up my black case at a Verizon corporate store

I picked up a DualPro SHINE, Brushed silver color, from the Verizon store, They were able to pick up the day note3 came out. They still sell them, It's a the best over the counter case you can get IMHO at the moment.
How does this case compare to the spigen bounce? I just ordered the bounce to try it out.
I loved this case on my SG4 but it was a Lint & Dust magnent. I think there is a correlation with most cases....the grippier the case...the more dust and lint it will attract. Just got a UAG case for my new note 3 and it sits perfectly inbetween Grip and Lint spectrum!
Just ordered mine from amazon. How easy / not easy is it to quickly take off and put back on? Like if I wanted to swap batteries in my phone, would it be this whole ordeal? Thanks

It's very easy. One of the best cases if you need to do that. When it's on it's on good, but no fear of breaking something if you have to take it off.
Sent from a Galaxy Note 3 far, far away....
My older brother had the Shine version of the Incipio DualPro for his Galaxy Note II and it was pretty bulky with no easy way to take it off. I have the Spigen Slim Armor for my Galaxy Note 3 and considered it superior until I noticed a crack in the armor yesterday. It has never been dropped so I am pretty sure that it was caused by taking the phone in and out daily. I do this carefully one side at a time and push through from behind (camera opening) but it happened anyway. I would hope that the Note 3 version of the DualPro is easier.
Also, it was rounded so it probably wouldn't fit a flat metallic plate insert like the nGroove Snap uses. He also tried it with a Qi wireless receiver I sent him and it doesn't work through the case. I hope the Note 3 version is thinner.

Cover or Case

Has anyone found a good cover or case. There seems to be very little available even on eBay?
Check Amazon there are several. Got mine for $12.

What did you get? Do you like it? I haven't been able to find any "non-folio" cases. I don't want a flap, just some good corner protection
This is a fantastic case. It's magnetic so it wakes it and puts it to sleep. It's slim, it fits perfectly, and the front can be folded to stand it up. They have a ton of colors and it looks really nice. It's only $15 shipped!
Fintie ASUS Memo Pad 7 ME572C / ME572CL Slim Shell Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QURWW4E/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_cFUWub03J621A
Im getting the me176cx and need a good case, theres loads, any recommendations would be welcome, do people also bother with screen protectors nowadays??
thanks
I'm not worried about a screen protector but only because of the way I use mine. If I had children playing with it or used it in harsh conditions, I would.
I gave Memo 7 tablets and covers covers to my grandchildren

This Christmas I gave Memo 7 tablets and BobjGear covers to all my grandchildren. I dont know what you mean by "good", but for me, the kids drop them a lot and I have not had to replace one yet. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Did anyone spot a nice genuine leather sleeve or folio for either ME176C or ME572C (I have both ) . I have one PU leather folios for the ME176C but not only was it cheap, it looks even cheaper, has a lousy feel, adds lots of bulk and weight and the built-in stand is pretty much useless.
I'm thinking of getting an iPad mini sleeve as it has exactly the height (but more depths and less width) and there're plenty to choose from...
I got the official ASUS case for my ME572CL. Not the folio smart case, which is way too expensive, but the soft silicon rubber one. Cheaper, looks nice, thin and offers reasonable protection, but I really don't recommend it - they have tried to keep the edges thin so that they don't cover any of the glass screen, so the fit is much too loose. Also it has no magnets and no strap or fastner, so the screen cover just flaps open. Because of these flaws the case is not really fit for purpose and I find myself taking it off whenever I actually use the tablet would have been better off just buying a cheap nexus 7 sleeve.
Well, meanwhile I was doing a little research and figured out that iPad Mini Sleeves (which can be found in abundance) would be a perfect fit due to the exact same length. However thanks to a strike here it's been in somewhere in the mail for just shy of 2 weeks now...
I think the nexus 7 2013 size is a much closer fit.

You're totally right. Thanks for the tip.
Can anyone recommend a good "bumper" case? You know, a rubbery one that just slips on (covers the back and edges only, no front cover) and protects it a bit from falls?
What's a good case for the 176ce?
