I flashed the Minicmsandwich lite rom yesterday and when I try to pick a widget from home screen by pressing long press, it asks to install widget preview picker.
Now how can I fix this? Some one please help me.

Try flashing again, but wipe your data. ( if you did wipe your data, just try it again)

I think something has gone wrong in my Phone/Contacts apk..
1st. I tried to change the phone apk to achive a different look dialer, smthn went south.. its really not a big deal but its annoying! When i want to send text messege from the contacts i slide the contact left and get the quick menu to chose what aplication , my case is whatsapp/Messeges but whatever i chose Nothing happens, the screen blinks and nothing...
Ive tried to flash new roms(villan &Cm7) didnt fix it.. so i went back to my backup from CWM..
What i need to fix ???
i dont know even how to approach this problem...

Do you mind if you get Wiped? If not wipe everything with CWM then reflash Firmware that takes up CSC, PDA and Phone, then after that you can Re-flash Your own firmware.... It should work.

My Xperia X10i (2.3.3) is working hell slow these days...
i want to make it work as its shown in its Advert. i mean a Fast UI
but the **** happens almost every thirsd time Force Stop Market,browser,etc
Tried Installing Many Task killers,Launchers (Go launcher),n apps like System tuner...
Due the fear of slow working i usually dont play games too on the device bt i seriously want to use this device as best i can...
n Please dont Opt me for Re installing the OS frm Customer Care!
n IF its the Last option then please help me to make the system remain faST after that.

Donuts have root and xrecovery? If u do, go into xrecovery and fix permissions. That should solve ur force close issues

Easiest way is to repair it with pc companion. Install pc companion on Sony Ericsson website, if you don't have it

Go into xrecovery (keep hitting back button when u first turn phone on till it appears) then find fix permissions (I think it on advanced) volume controls scroll up/down, home (middle) button selects. Try that and let me know if it helps

I think you might try custom roms available on developer threat as most of them have the basics tweaks and optimisations. I personally recommend this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16477883 rom for it is easy to understand instruction for newbie. Cheers.

I recommend you sync your contacts with Google sync, back up your stuff with titanium back up free which is on the market. (note after you've flashed the ROM which has a kernel built into the ROM you will need to install titanium back up again to restore all the stuff you backed up)
. It is a very fast and smooth ROM I am using ATM. Okay go into xrecovery by starting your phone up and when you see the Sony Ericsson logo, keep pressing the back button.
Now you're in x recovery Wipe Dalvik cache, Wipe cache partition and do full factory wipe. Then go to install custom zip.

yes i did...I wiped all cache then factory reset then installed the rom

Do a clean install, the cleanest as u can:
01. Format your SD Card
02. Repair x10 in PC Companion
03. Root and instal xrecovery in the newest flash tool
04. Put some rom on Your SD Card (Im using Wolf ver 4.0.4s. Ive tested all roms here and like it the most i could give u some links)
05. Flash it in xrecovery
06. Reboot the fone it should be smooth like hell

does the widgets just totally dissapear? or are you getting the "problem loading widget" message?
Yes all widgets disappear.widget loading is normal.

I think (but not sure) that wiping user data via recovery could help you.
If not, reflash kernel, reflash rom.
Btw. use nAa-13 kernel (not ics)
I tried wipe user data again and again. Kernel nAa 13 reflashed but widgets disappear.

Did anyone experienced(no pun intended) Waze app crash every time you try to boot up the app on Sony Xperia Sola [ICS .54] eXperience™ v1.1 w/ OC kernel + memory tweak? Going to have a tour at another city soon, need this app to work desperately. Can anyone with the fore mentioned custom rom try and install and boot up waze to help me check whether this is an isolated case? Tried to wipe Dalvik cache + wipe data and even reflash the custom rom + custom kernel and it still won't work. Thanks in advance for those who helped.
Erm... I'm using the same Rom too... Did you flash gmaps???? And, do a factory reset and clear dalvik cache before you wanna flash a Rom... Hope that helps...y waze worked perfectly

Yeap, I do flash GMaps. Somehow it is an odd bug bugging me. After reflashing for countless times, which I repeat all the same steps, it suddenly worked miraculously, Problem solved. Might think twice before tinkering too deep for now, need waze to work for this few days. Thanks for your reply.

PLZ HELP!! my gs4's lockscreen is "blinking"..
When i press the lock button on the phone which is roughly 2 months old, the lockscreen goes of for a second nd then automatically turns on stating tht swipe to unlock, life companion and etc.
plz help as every android user knows the importance of screen turn off.
I wil do a barrage of thanks button.:good::good:

Please provide more information such as device was rooted or not? You were on stock or custom ROM?

It is not rooted.
Running on stock samsung 4.2.2 firmware.
Did flashed again using odin but in vain.
Also a factory reset but again in vain.

Already tried Yes but now it is not that frequent.
