Alright guys, since tj won't answer his thread, I guess I'll ask it here.
Has anyone had signal issues on Stocklite V6 besides me? I compared my signal to my friend's phone on the same network and he always had about 1-2 more bars than I did. Is it like that on stock roms? Or just this one in specific? I keep having zero bars to completely no signal a lot and even when I'm outside.
It happened to me, but no signal at all!! Im waiting to see what could cause this, and then see if is the rom
Edit: I went to settings, and my phone was looking for signal and found it... Its solve for now...

Meh, too late for me. Switched to Miracle V4. I'll keep posting if I still get signal issues though.

Well bro using it and it's great. Never had any signal issues. Full signal all the time. Though battery sucks a little bit. Make sure network selection set to automatic.

So after rooting and messing around with different roms and such, I installed an app called network that has been mentioned on here, to see about switching to 3G easily while at work.
Well I started noticing that the phone couldn't keep a 4G signal at all anymore, but didn't put 2 and 2 together because of some of the other stuff I had done, mainly flashing through 3 different roms in 45 mins.
Well I unrooted my phone, and got it exchanged today because of some terrible back light bleeding, that thankfully my new phone doesn't have, and rerooted the phone, restored all my apps on Mik Rom, and BAM, 4G goes screwy out of nowhere. So I looked through everything and the only networking type app I had was Network. I uninstalled it, and now instead of 998 ping and .5 d/l speeds I am averaging somewhere near 14 down and 71 ping.
Only change was that app. Anyone else have this issue after installing that app? Or if you are having 4G issues, and have this app, UNINSTALL IT!
just thought I'd throw it out there, considering it was making me really mad.
Just tested it myself and it's all good here.

Did you make changes in the network app?
The app is designed to DISABLE 4g. So if you made changes then yeah you would lose 4g.
Im sure this isnt the case, but wanted to mention it just in case.
I use mine to disable 4g since im not in a 4g Area but it works fine this way. But then again my 4g cant go screwy because it doesn't exist.

Hmmm... I notice your speedtest app actually showing an accurate upload (compared to the double digits people used to post. Is this an updated version? Speedtest had acknowledged inaccurate reporting on the TB.
Hey guys,
So the way this story starts out is my digitizer broke. The screen stopped responding one day and so I was like eh, I'll bring it in to get it replaced. I have the total protection plan and so it was no big deal. The guy took the screen out and put the new one in right in front of me.
As he was replacing the screen I said something about the mms messaging not working properly. I just couldn't get MMS messages anymore and when I sent them it would show them as sent but the person on the other end wouldn't get it. So he reset the profile I believe and changed maybe some other stuff server side(?). since then the phone has had TERRIBLE data speed. I mean next to useless.

I wasn't sure at first what the deal was. I reinstalled a different rom, flashed a new radio to see if that did it and it did nothing. I went back to the store to tell them they borked it, but the service guys were already gone for the night so I have to wait for tomorrow. My experience with these guys was bad before this but now it's even worse so I want to fix it myself if I can. Any guesses?
tl;dr Fix remarkably slow 3G. What can I do.
Nope, it wasnt the store, its just sprint. Those speeds seem just about right for sprint 3g.

I wish that were the truth. The first two were using wifi to make sure it worked. The rest are on 3G. In my area sprint usually flies and I tested the speed next to a few people that have sprint as well and they've been way, way higher. In some areas in my region I can get 800kbs down. No where near as slow as this.
Hey guys,
I am starting this thread here so that the guys who use 3G service can post their 3G speed screenies(screenshots) here.
It would be fun to see how much 3G speeds users get on their android device.
Feel Free to post your 3G speeds here.
Also you can Tell which is the service provider.
Even You can post the Wifi Speeds here.
As everyone use Wifi nowadays,I am sure there will be many users who will post their Wifi speeds here in this thread.

Have no one got time to even share a screenie of their 3G or Wifi Speeds?.
I am hoping to see more screenies in the coming time.
Hi.
Im on Resurrection Remix 5.1.5
My mobile connection has being going on and off more and more frequently and is now dead. WIFI is ok.
I have done a number of things to troubleshoot this issue, but nothing seems to help.
Now all I see is the empty, black triangle where the bars used to be.

This was done while I momentarily had mobile connection:
I have turned mobile network on and off numerous of times.
Location doesnt matter. Right now Im in a well covered area.
I have reinstalled modem. Im on xxms4.
GetRIL tells that modem and RIL doesnt match, so I tried switching RIL. That disabled mobile connection completely.
I have tried reinstalling OS.
I didnt check while it worked, but now it turns out that I dont have an APN. When I enter a new (description from my carrier) and press "save" it doesnt save at all.
After mobile network died I disassembled the phone to look for bad connections etc. It all looked fine. Phone works, but network is still dead.
Could it be the sim card?
Plz help
Whats the average views to reply ratio here?
Fun apart.
I really would appreciate any suggestion on what could be the culprit here.
Im reluctant to invest $20 in a new sim card if I have to ditch the phone and get a new one, that uses a different sim card size.
I did some further investigation.
I tried my sim in old cell phone and it didnt detect it. Maybe incompatibility or a clue to a broken sim. I dont know.
I tried some different modems xxls8 and xxls9.
Cheers,
I have to say Im a bit disappointed about this forum.
I made a request more then a week ago about a faulty phone/sim card. Not even a single reply to help me sort this out.
I am usually not the person who conplains a lot, but I am on other fora only a fraction of this one, where responses comes within hours or minutes.
Thought this was the best place to get help with Resurrection Remix. I was wrong.
Dont bother respond to this thread, I will unsubscribe.
My brother is an owner of a Stock Sony Xperia Ultra Z and since installing the 5.0.2 OTA update he can no longer make or recieve calls, and instead hears strange noises, like a needle scratching across a record, with beeps and pops like R2D2 speaking. Alarms and notification noises are similarly weird. Also massive battery drain.
Although it's intermittent, there's no pattern, and it has really scuppered his day as he relies on his phone for business and now can't make or take calls and is understandably annoyed considering this is a standard update.
Has anyone else experienced problems like this?

No, not yet. Was hoping there was something a little less drastic.

I guess that isn't as bad as it sounds. Just backup everything before doing it.
What is drastic for me is the event that you have to use Flash Tool.

Okay, I'll give it a go.
Thanks. I'm just surprised nobody else has this issue.
I haven't. Crashes, yes. But what you have described, no. Running stock.

Not as prevalent anymore, but still intermittent. Can't work it out.
starting to happen again. Going to root and do a custom ROM.
Any recommendations? CyanogenMod 12.1 Togari?
