My Samsung Tab just fall in the floor and now it loose the rotate functionality.
After going to setting's -> horizontal calibrate. I've managed to make it rotate but only landscape.
1 - Is it possible to have only the vertical sensor broken ?
2 - Is there a way to calibrate way vertical, as the only option availabe is horizontal ?
All the level/bublle app's show's horizontal rotation but no vertical.
Many thanks (sorry my english)
Just a side note! I can play modern warefare 3 with gyroscope just fine i and can see 3d gallery just fine to, what the hell?

Noticed that in at least a couple of apps I installed last night (Words with Friends was one) that when it runs, it forces a portrait orientation that is bizarre. If your typical Portrait is a quarter-turn clockwise from Landscape with the power switch at top left, then this portrait is completely upside down from that, so that your power button would be on the bottom. There was at least one more that did this, perhaps Waze(?) but just wondered if there was a setting to unlock the accelerometer on apps like this...once it starts, it doesn't matter what direction you spin the tablet.
TIA

I think I must have dropped my phone sometime and ruined the orientation sensor. When I open my camera, it is stuck in panoramic orientation. Toggling screen rotation has no effect whatsoever. On normal home screen, its set at portait and wont rotate. I've download apps that tell you about your sensors such as Android Sensor Box, and it shows that the sensors not responding whether i tilt or shake my phone. Anyone else heard of a problem like this?
When I hold my phone vertical (portrait or landscape) to take panorama or photosphere photos it's out of alignment and I have to downward it to the earth to adjust the horizon line to the middle of screen. In another word if I hold my phone in 80° its sensor behave like it is in 90°. Attached photos shows the problem. I have rooted my device with official 4.4.2. I couldn't find any helpful guide about how to initialize or calibrate accelerometer or G-Sensor. rotating phone in 8 path, rotating around all 3 axises, restarting device didn't help.
Please help me how to solve this issue. I don't want to reset factory device right know. I've access to all system files if needed. Thanks
Nothing?!
Please help! Any idea might help.
The auto rotate does not work. It rotates to vertical of the screen and does not return to the horizontal position.
Icons on the camera are not horizontal.
The menu on the camera rotates and does not rotate back.
