Hey there,
any possibilities to change the pulled down statusbar?
I dont like at all these icons ( Wi-Fi, bluetooth, GPS etc..) and for me there are too many functions like "flight mode, Auto sync and Sound Vibration"
So, are there any other pulled down statusbars or am I able to remove "flight mode, Auto sync and Sound Vibration" ?
regards

Heey there
I was searching a while for a transparent settings app (I like transparent apps so )
Since no theme porter or dev was answering the Q for transparent settings app
I tried to customize the settings app myself i tried different things but unsuccessful (maybe because of my limited skills )
After some more trying it almost works
So thought I'll post it here so everyone can enjoy a transparent settings app
Since I'm not a dev or theme porter and I was just trying something out
There are some bugs in it but I don't have the required skills to fix them all
so if there is any dev or theme porter that could give me some tips PM PLEAS I really want this done
Extra options that work
Build in font changer in settings app itself so no need for Third party app
G-sensor calibration option
This need to be "fixed"
Wireless and network menu
Bluetooth switch on the check-box in the settings menu doesn't work (when you enable bleutooth in the statusbar the settings can be changed in the bleutooth menu)
Call settings menu
The call settings menu should be expanded (now there is only a voice-mail setting option so nothing like hide numer callsettings etc.)
Sound settings menu
There is an option for video-call ringtone (need to be removed but doesn't give FC so not urgent )
Display settings menu
Brightness setting doesn't work (if you use the Power control widget you can change the brightness)
There are options for
- White colour density
- Black colour density
- Saturation
- TV out
All FC, whether they should be removed or fixed, if someone can make these option working that would be super
The horizontal calibration must be edit because the roll indicator is not one the right scale
Location and security menu
The option for aiding sensors is missing
Application menu
in the menu "manage applications the size for each app is on the big side not verry handy if you have a lot of apps but its just for the looks so not verry urgent
SD-card and memory menu
There is an option for formatting internal memory haven't tried it yet but if someone has enough courage to try this option we will know if it works
For the rest everything is working perfect
Thx man
Love it !

Reflash a Rom is much more easier than prepare a cup noodles. Just plug to PC and then fire up odin, wait for 2mins than Titanium Backup than that's all
Now doing a full Backup
But anyway thank you for your setting.apk

Also the option for G-sensor calibration works!!!
Well. The main difference you will find in styles.xml when you decompile this Settings.apk and the one from our phone. There are some lines that have to be added to it. And then you will have to define them in Public.xml also. And then again you will have to declare them in the classes.dex file. i.e. in the smali files.
Its tedious. Smali/baksmali.

I haven't tried modding an app before but I am a full-fledged Android developer.
So I will try to help you if possible.

Hi all,
does anyone know how I can remove the battery info that shows on the stock lock screen (percentage and id_lock.. images)? Now I've changed the battery info in the status bar, it's really not needed.
I've tried removing the relevant lines from keyguard_screen_lock.xml in the layout folder of my framework-res, but it hasn't changed anything and I'm too noobish to know what else to fiddle with.
I could try Widgetlocker or something similar, but that kinda defeats the point. Plus, I'm just too stubborn..
Many thanks!

Was trying to figure out how to turn it ON after installing a new ROM! Thanks!
Yeah, I like to make things difficult for myself. lol
I think I've figured it out, but I'll have to wait until I get home to try it out. It looks like I need to edit keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml in the layout folder of my framework-res.apk and remove the line:
"<TextView android:textSize="18.0dip" android:textColor="#ccffffff" android:id="@id/status1" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_marginTop="5.0dip" android:drawablePadding="8.0dip" />".
Apparently, status1 is the battery icon and percentage while status2 is the alarm icon and info.
I'll try it out and report back.

Did you ever find a solution? This is especially irritating considering that I installed Battery Widget Reborn and it has a more readable icon that sits next to the default one.
I have a Verizon S3, but here is what I found, just have a question...
I did a search looking to delete my battery icon from my status bar now since I have the percentage up there. I have already found the stat_sys_battery.xml file but I had a couple quick questions. (got my info from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010487 )
I downloaded 7Zipper from the market, open the SystemUI.apk with it ("Open with Zip Viewer), go to res/drawable and I navigate to stat_sys_battery.xml, the only option I get is to extract it, not delete it. Does this need to be done via a computer to actually delete it or will "extracting it" just remove it from the .apk?
Also, I have 2 res folders: 1 dated 09 Nov 12 & one dated 01 Jan 80
With that said, I also have 2 drawable folders, both with the same dates as the res folders.
It appears they are the same, but look like they have the same things in them. I guess in the end my question is, Is this the proper way to delete this on the phone or should I plug it in and delete from the computer?
Install JKay framework (link found in my signature), and then buy the deluxe app from the play store to customize it. you can hide or center clock, alarm, battery and play with it the way you want. It also contains lots of other features

Ok so, I tried to replace my phones systemui.apk with another one(the one that has circular battery in status bar). When I first moved it, I deleted the old one, I didnt backup it(big failure), and I didnt change the permissions on the new one. My phone had to reboot and after that I have got no system ui, although the app is in there(i changed its permissions to what they should be but It didnt help...) I know that I can fix that by flashing again via flashtool, but my laptop is old and sometimes crashes (thank god) before the flashing... Any help will be appreciated.
Screenshots:
For some reason the screenshot button is not on the shut down menu... Anyways, imagine a xperia sola with a totally black background, no status bar, so no notifications, its basically a full screen launcher.
Any help will be appreciated

hi! I come from a nexus 4 and I don't quiet like the Sony lock screen.. is there a way of changing it with a stock android one?
I kinda second this.
While there are numerous apps that act as lockscreen replacements, none of them actually do the job well. The one that comes closest to pure AOSP is Holo Locker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobint.locker), but it's closer to ICS than it is to KitKat.
'Tis a shame since Sony's UI can actually be made to resemble AOSP, except for the single most seen screen on the phone -- the lockscreen (even the wallpaper can only be a static image ffs).

If you are on rooted your device then just delete the lockscreen apk and odex file from /system/app folder. now you are on stock lock screen.
I was looking for a way without using root.. I prefer wait for a root that doesn't lose DRM Keys..

If you don't use Pin or Pattern protection you can try disabling the lockscreen alltogether. The wallpaper thing was annoying me also. I've turned the thing off, works just fine to me.

I do prefer having a swipe lockscreen of some sort to place a widget (such as CLock) to be able to see things with a single push of a button, without really unlocking. Sony's way of doing lockscreens is just absurd, especially the way you can't set the background to match your homescreen. And those sparkles, ugh, don't even get me started.
Xperia Xposed let my live wallpaper show on lock screen
Tried many Xposed Xperia modules, all of them got me a bootloop.

I swear there is no XperiaLockScreen in there. And no, I didn't delete it, else I'd leave an .odex behind. Despite it missing, it's still working perfectly. Or, rather, as Sony intended it to work (which is, for me, far from perfect).
(See the attachment if you don't believe me -- I always leave .odex behind when I delete system apps just in case something goes wrong and I have to restore it from an earlier backup)
I absolutely love ACDisplay, similar to the motorola lock screen, and I really like the minimalist approach. I set it to show my background instead of the black screen and I think it looks great in combination with Tapet wallpaper app.

Can AcDisplay be set as the lockscreen (that is, can it be set to show itself even when there are no notifications)?
Having it wake up the screen will probably drain the battery as well, so unless there's a way to basically set it to act as a normal lockscreen, I'd avoid it.

Attach that XTP.apk or have a look at the res folders for any images that show what it might be for, they may have renamed it, or changed the way the Keyguard.apk works.

The XTP one is pretty much empty, no res folder, just the manifest and meta-inf. The keyguard is interesting though -- this is Sony's lockscreen!
Any chance replacing this with an older Xperia's Keyguard would work?
And to answer my own previous question -- AcDisplay can be made into the lockscreen. A damn good one, too, though I'd still like a system app.

Yes you can set it to be as a normal lock screen. It works great, especially with double tap --> double tap to wake up (check clock or notifications) and again double tap to turn off the screen.
You can also set that notifications don't wake up the phone.
