Is there any way to do this?
I've rooted it and download the Disable ALS app from the market but it only works at full brightness which is no good really..
Could I not edit some system values or something?
All help is appreciated

The top one is the only one I could find that disables it, and it only works when it's at maximum brightness..

Ok so I know that I am not the only one that would like to see how on screen buttons are on CM9. I am just a super noob at all this. Does anyone know how I could do this?
Thank you for all your great support!

Button Savior is the best app on screen key app I've found. Its theme-able now so the app is a ton better.
Here's an example of the Nexus theme

Settings/developer settings and you must have checked show cpu usage just in check it

That's the cpu overlay...go into developer options and uncheck Show CPU usage (and anything else in that section).
