Lol, I totally feel yall. I actually setup mine in a night, did custom graphics and all. It's actually really easy once you get the graphics, but until you get the graphics its really tedious. Basically, in a nutshell, you need a graphic for all your different "buttons". Then, install ADW and set it to have like 8 rows and 6 columns (that may not be the right configuration). Then, go install Desktop Visualizer. Then, create a widget for each of your different buttons, then set each widget with the proper graphic and to open the right file. Then, I added a long thing widget on the bottom for the shadow and had it do nothing, its just there for looks. And do that for each page of buttons... See its easy? lol...
I was thinking about putting together a tutorial and uploading all my icons and psd files for people... I might still do it. It's really not hard, and if I supplied the graphics then really you guys could get it setup and working in a matter of an hour or two. I tell ya what, if you beg and and beg and tell me im the best ill seriously consider it... lol. Im kidden... Kinda...

Oh and in case you were wondering, here is what it turned out to look like. Also, I liked this better since it would animate the tiles/icons based on the adw animation settings, where as the main tutorial we all seen it would only animated like the text or whatever... Which, I didn't really like. But yea, here is what I did, I really should throw my icons online for you guys.

Hey guys. I posted this tutorial in the other thread awhile back and I wasn't sure if you guys saw it yet. As far as I know there is only one real way to do this as tedious as it may seem, it's not all that bad once your really dive in and do it. If you guys need anything done on Photoshop let me know and i'll get them done for you. Consider this a "How To Xbox Theme your TFP For Dummies" haha as i've tried my very hardest to create an easy guide for even the most novice users. If I missed a step please let me know. Enjoy and let me know if anyone still needs help.
Download template here: http://fav.me/d4ydndp
What I Used:
ADW Launcher EX <- your launcher
Desktop Visualizer <- gives you invisible links for your tiles
Multipicture-LiveWallpaper <- allows you to have up to 9 screens
Folder Organizer (Light) <- gives you a list style folder
Simple Text <- make icon style text in a simple manner
AirDroid <- Godsend to homescreen editing
Beautiful Widgets <- My weather app
Xbox Live Avatar Widget <- Pure Awesomeness
A graphic program (In this case I used Photoshop CS4)
Before You Start:
Think about 9 different types of screenshots (i.e. home, social, video, music, etc.) as the 10th screen will be your apps drawer
Have an idea of which apps/folders you would like within each screens/wallpaper
1 - Basic Setup:
A. ADWSettings:
a. UI Settings

1. Icons
. Density Hack (checked)
. Fancy Background (unchecked)
. New Icons (checked)
2. Main Dock
. Enable Dock (unchecked)
3. Screen Preferences
. Desktop Columns – 10
. Desktop Rows – 6
. Show Desktop Indicator (unchecked)
. Home Orientation - Landscape
. Hide StatusBar (checked)
. Overlap Widgets (checked)
. Advanced Settings (all unchecked)
4. Drawer Settings
. All Personal Choice
. Background Color - #ff000000
b. General Behavior
1. Animation and Effects
. Infinite scroll (unchecked)
. Screen transition – Normal scroll
. Desktop scrolling speed – 120-130
. Desktop Bounce – 25 (personal choice)
. Wallpaper Scrolling (checked)
. Everything else is personal choice
B. Folder Organizer – think about which folder(s) you want to create (I have a music app folder and games folder)
a. Under Labels click any of the five options you have on the farthest right column (I’ll use games for example)
1. Click Layout
. Choose List With Text
b. Click Applications under the Labels column on the left hand side and scroll down and click an app that pertains to the “Label” you originally clicked (i.e. pick a game for a Games Label)
1. Click Rename on application you choose and add two extra spacings in front of the original name (“Angry Birds” is renamed to “ Angry Birds”)
2. Once you’ve done that go to the farthest column on the right and check the box right next to the word Game and follow up with the “<” symbol that’s highlighted (this puts the app that you selected into the Label that you box checked)
3. Repeat step b. for all game apps
c. Repeat Steps a. and b. for another folder (in my case I made a music app folder)
d. Once the folders have been made to your liking, click on one of the newly made custom folders (I’ll use Games for example)
1. Click Edit on the lower right hand corner
. Label name – name your folder with a small punctuation like “.” Or “,” minus the quotes (It’ll make sense later) (I used “.” for games and “,” for music apps)
. Fixed sort (unchecked)
2. Repeat step d. for all the folders you’ve made
C. Simple Text
a. Click “simple” of the four options given
1. X-Coordinate – 0
2. Y-Coordinate – 75
3. Text Size – 40
4. Rotate – 0
5. Auto scale, Gradient, and Shadow (unchecked)
6. Click the Color Box in the upper right hand
. Place white circle in the middle left hand corner to give you a gray color
. Slide vertical bar in the Alpha bar all the way to the left
7. Rename “simple” with any of the screenshot titles you want (i.e. home, social, video, etc.)
8. Click the transformers menu button on the bottom next to the back and home button (I’m not sure what its called) and select Save Style
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you’ve created a simple text for all 10 of your screens/wallpapers (for my apps I made a “ooo” simple text in a white color)
2 – Layout-elements:
Refer to the template I provided for a better understanding
I have three types of tiles:
Green tiles
Picture tiles
Widgets tiles
Tile sizes: (use whichever sizes your hearts desire but I’ve highlighted the sizes that are found in my template)
1x1 = 119 x 112px
1x2 = 119 x 230px
1x4 = 119 x 466px
2x1 = 244 x 112px
2x2 = 244 x 230px
2x3 = 244 x 348px
2x4 = 244 x 466px
4x1 = 494 x 112px
4x2 = 494 x 230px
4x3 = 494 x 348px
4x4 = 494 x 466px
3 - Creating Layout:

First think about organizing your different screens, which apps should be launched directly, which widgets you like to use, which screens have folder, etc.
I have a screen for Search, Home, Social, Video, Music, Games, Image, Global, System, ooo (apps). Your setup doesn’t have to look like this as I encourage each person to have a sense of uniqeness to their layout. Figure out the names to all your screens and make each label in Simple Text. This step is important, because there are a lot of things to do and it saves you so much time! Trust me when I say that the simple text is the most tedious part of the whole setup and I found this out the hard way.
I did each layout in Photoshop and exported each screen to my transformer. Feel free to customize the template however you would like to (if you aren’t Photoshop savvy, P.M. me and I can help by making new tiles or teaching you how to do them). For those that have Photoshop experience, move the tiles around to your liking but keep a 7px space difference between each tile (to the left, right, above, and below). Once you’ve finished your layout on Photoshop, transfer each screen/wallpaper via AirDroid into a specific folder and name it “Xbox Theme” or whatever you prefer. Now the fun begins:
A. Multi-Live Wallpaper:
a. Common Settings
1. Background Color – Black
2. Crop/Resize Ratio – Fit to Fullscreen
3. Decrease Saturation – 100%
4. Decrease Opacity – 100%
b. Add individual settings
1. Add each screen under Picture source in an order you’ve designated (but remember the order)
2. Note that you are only allowed 9 screens/wallpapers and the 10th “screen” will be your app drawer
c. Lock screen settings (personal choice)
d. Transition type – Slide
e. Maximum memory usage – Auto
f. Color depth – True Color (24-bit)
B. Simple Text: (I can’t stress how tedious this is)
a. On each screen long press till you get Add to Home Screen and click Launcher Actions
b. Add Screen 1, Screen 2, Screen 3, etc.
c. Add Open/Close App Drawer
d. My setup:
1. Screen 1 – Search
2. Screen 2 – Home
3. Screen 3 – Social
4. Screen 4 – Video
5. Screen 5 – Music
6. Screen 6 – Games
7. Screen 7 – Image
8. Screen 8 – Global
9. Screen 9 – System
10. ooo
e. Long press Screen 1 and Edit
1. Delete Screen 1 and leave name blank
2. Click the original icon box and select ADWTheme IconPacks
3. There you will find the pre-made simple text icons that you created as instructed to before
4. Select the text according to what “Screen 1” was (in my case is was “Search”)
5. Press the transformer menu button right next to the back and home button and select Save Icon and continue by pressing OK
f. Repeat step e. for all 10 screens/wallpapers including “ooo” for Open/Close App Drawer
g. Repeat steps a. through e. for all 9 screens/wallpapers (see told you it was tedious)
h. If you’re on Screen 1 (in my case its “Search”) long press on the corresponding launcher action (“Screen 1” launcher action icon)
1. Delete Screen 1 and leave name blank
2. Click the original icon box and select ADWTheme IconPacks
3. There you will find the pre-made simple text icons that you created as instructed to before
4. Select the text according to what “Screen 1” was (in my case is was “Search”)
5. Color Box – White (personal choice)
6. Text Size – 50
7. Press the transformer menu button right next to the back and home button and select Save Icon and continue by pressing OK
8. This helps specify which screen/wallpaper you’re on at the moment
i. Repeat step h. for all corresponding screens/wallpapers (i.e. Screen 2 icon for “Home”)
C. Desktop Visualizer: (On my “Social” screen/wallpaper notice the Facebook tile as I’ll be using that for an example)
a. Long press and click Widgets and scroll down till you find Desktop Visualizer(2x2)
b. Click the newly obtained widget
1. Select Icon
. Image File – Find the “blank.png” I included
2. Select Action
. Launch Application – Find the corresponding application (in this case its Facebook)
3. Emphasis (unchecked)
4. Touch Effect – None
c. Repeat steps a. and b. for all tiles on every screen/wallpaper
d. All other tiles that are empty and green you’ll notice I have icons on my screenshots but not on the template. That’s because these icons scroll with the wallpaper and you’d select these icons in step b.1. instead of “blank.png” (Try and find unique icons online such as on http://www.deviantart.com/)
D. Folder Organizer Widget:
a. Long press and click Widgets and scroll down till you find FO Folder link – Folder Organizer
1. Select which folder you’d like to place upon your screen/wallpaper (remember that I replaced the name “Games” with “.” So that’ll come up as an option)
2. Refer to my Games screen/wallpaper and notice the xbox controller icon
3. Place the newly acquired “.” right above the controller and notice how it remains incognito blending in with the white controller
b. Repeat step a. for all other folders created
E. Xbox Live Avatar Widget: (Optional)
a. Follow widget instructions
F. ENJOY YOUR FREAKIN NEW XBOX THEMED TFP!!!

Hey, awesome walkthrough !! I'm trying to get everything working right now and I have a question - on your screen which box is how big ? (I'm talking grid size) I'm guessing (I'll use the last screen as an example), that Transformers is 2x2, The Office is 4x4, Flixster is 2x1. Am I correct ?
Anyway, thanks again for the How-To, it's pretty useful !

The easiest I've tried was with SSlauncher. I've been dying to try out this layout but it's as complicated as HUBS. Thankfully someone uploaded their Galaxy Note theme and all I had to do was load it up on SSlauncher and behold..everything was in place...well most of them anyway. I forgot which user it was but you can find his post on the official thread along with his zip file. It took me about half hour re-sizing the icons for a larger screen but it saved me a lot of time. HUBS users can also share their layout through the same method. I'll upload my .zip layout if anyone is interested

Yup! it goes width x height so you're right on all accounts!

After working on and off for 4 hours this is all I really have to show.
Definitely will need more help on widgets and icon pics.
Great writeup btw!

First I have to thank a couple of ppl, whithout whom this plugin would not see the light of day:
rPereira, chriscsh, MrDSL and dgaud007 for the great ideas, plugin fixes and CAB optimization.
APBilbo, for the excelent message to registry app.
This works on Mortscript (that already comes with Titanium Weather) and takes about 160kb or ram on your device.
Contents:
-----------
- First page:
The first page has the skinned clock, small date and the current weather. The weather info and icon is taken from Showaco's Titanium weather. No point on creating a separated weather viewer when that is already perfect.
If a sms or missed call is received the icons and numbers pop-up on the page.
The main button opens a pre-chosen link (in my case Resco Explorer, all this is configurable in the Settings), the bottom right button updates the weather (it takes about 10 secs, so be patient).
If there is a missed call or new message, the main button changes to call history or message app.
Also, if you have any alarms enabled, it will show a icon, but if you have any unread SMS, the ALARM icon is hidden by the SMS icon.
- Second page:
The system bars are on the second page.
The main button opens Memory settings and the right button open Multi Settings , the left refreshes the plugin, if needed.
If your memory card is not named "STORAGE CARD", then you must change it on the settings. The battery icon becomes on fire when its being charged.
- Third page:
The third page is a SMS viewer, with the help of APBilbo's (Throttle Launcher) Message2Reg.exe.
Click to open a menu that lets you see the all the messages/reply/create new message, the left softkey to see the previous and the right button to see the next.
- Fourth page:
A image viewer is on page 4. You need to configure the folder you want to see on the MultiSettings.
Click to open a menu that lets you see the current image/refresh the image list/set image as wallpaper (limites to image size and extension), the left softkey to see the previous and the right button to see the next.
It lists the images on first run (or every time you run the Settings), and it takes some tiem, depending on how many images are there, so be patient.
Please note that bigger images take longer to load. Also, it loads ALL files, so if you have non-image files in there, it will show a red cross instead.
- Condensed view:
The condensed view shows the small weather icon with temperature, the clock (in text view) and the notification icons (if there are any).
The clock, notifications and battery charge icon auto-updates every 1 second. The rest, every 10 seconds.
To use:
------------
- Install Titanium weather (if for some strange reason you havent already and configure your city on it). This also installs Mortscript, that is the base of my plugin.
- Install my attached CAB into your device (if it gives you a error during install, use the attached script-fix made by rPereira.)
- If you are updating, run the Kill_TWolf.mscr script that is on the Acessories folder in Start menu, BEFORE installing the new CAB.
- You can customize some settings if you open the MultiSettings editor (you need Flash 7 to run it).
- All the icons, clock, bars and shortcuts can be easily skinned and configurable on the instalation folder..
- Reset and enjoy!
v1.6:
What's new in v1.6c:
---------------------
- Fixed small bug that didnt open the main image. A manual fix is also here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4115269&postcount=395
- Removed the other buggy versions... :/
What's new in v1.6b:
---------------------
- Fixed a small bug that caused the SMS menu not being centered. A manual fix is already here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4111994&postcount=387
What's new in v1.6:
---------------------
- The main button on the picture page opens kvvQuickMenu.
- The main button on the sms page also opens a menu.
- Reply to sms on the menu
- New sms on the menu
- Refresh list on the menu
- Add as wallpaper on the menu (restricted to jpg images with your screen size)
- Different refresh mode
- Changed the network signal check
- Removed the refresh list from TWolf.mscr, its now manual (less time on boot).
- Added a "are you sure?" dialog to the refresh list
- Removed some unnecessary files from the CAB.
- v1.5 moved to post #4.
Errors:
--------
- Before updating, run the Kill_TWolf.mscr script that is on the Acessories folder in Start menu.
- If you have a error installing, run the attached rPereira fix first.
- If the clock starts to change size continuously, go to the second page and use the left softkey button REFRESH.
- If you have a error opening a shortcut, change it on the MultiSettings that is on the second page right Softkey.
- If the MultiSettings editor doesnt close properly, you need to install Flash 7,
- If the weather icon is giving an error, update your Titanium weather with this small fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3949075&postcount=1077
- If the left button doesnt change for some reason... Post here a PNG screenshot with the correct size of your today screen. If you dont know how to do this, install mymobiler.com and post here a screenshot of your screen, make sure the size is correct. Since this forum transforms the PNGs in JPGs youll need to host it outside, for example, you can host your image on imageshack.us .
- If your weather icons have a wierd size, I'd advice the Beyond Invisible Iconset.
- If you reset your device with notifications pending, that link becomes the default, even after the notifications disappear. I have to think of a way to fix this, but in the meantime, ppl can use the MultiSettings to fix it manually.
- If you want this plugin to become your default plugin (the one that appears when you press the red button), simply place it on top of the other plugins and disable the default clock, with Titanizer or Chome.
- If your SMS menu isnt centered, run this script.
-If the main image doest open with the menu, use this fix.
To Do:
-------
- Add WVGA and QWVGA landscape screen sizes (users, please help)...
twolf thanks for your great hard work.
Before i try does it work with VGA devices.
wow this is GOOD Job
thanx TWolf for GREAT plugin
----Older versions----
Small update v1.5b:
-----------------------
- Fixed bug that never showed phone signal as 0% even if it was off.
- Fixed bug that didnt closed M2RW.EXE from the system, stealing over 600kb of ram.
- After receiving a new SMS now the Message2REG updates the SMS list every 10 seconds.
- Fixed small bug on the Settings that didnt restored the correct values (on non-WWE systems).
- To install, copy the attached files to the TWolf instalation folder and reset or use the Restart_TWolf script.
Whats new on v1.5:
-----------------------
- Fixed the 12-hour clock bug
- Added fix to automaticly change back to the default left button if you changed plugin without passing by the clock page.
- Fixed the AM-PM bug, thanks Gibbs.
- Added different OS languages install support.
- Updated the Multi Settings Editor to support this too.
- Removed update from first post.
Whats new on v1.4:
-----------------------
- Remade the icons, bars and clock skin for bigger sizes (VGA), I only noticed that they looked so bad when I saw a VGA printscrenn...
- Finally changed the network signal icon.
- Added alarms notifier. The icon is overplaced by the sms icon if you have any unread sms.
- Added dgaud007 storage card fix, for cards bigger than 2GB (thanks! ).
- Added color codes ... This allows for a better use, because it changes the left softkey button by page (all the buttons take about 1 second to update).
- Theres now a REFRESH left button on system page
- And a PREVIOUS left button on SMS page, the right button is now NEXT and the main button opens all SMS's.
- Also a PREVIOUS left button on photos page, the right button is now NEXT and the main button open the picture.
- Added more shortcuts.
- Added one shortcut to update the image list, in case you want to see a picture you just took. Since it lists files alphabetically, you probably need to press PREVIOUS to see it.
- Some code optimization.
- Was forced to remove the clock background option...too many images.
- Also had to remove the backup battery bar, come to think of it, it wasnt very usefull, since the phone had to be whithout battery for it to show other values than 100%...
- Added operator name to fill in the empty space, only optimized the centering of the text for qvga and wqvga portrait (its the only resolution I have)...
- Removed older versions from this post and moved the history changes to post #4 (I always forget to create a new thread with 2 or 3 reserved posts ).
Whats new in v1.3:
-------------------
- Fixed sms and phone path bugs.
- Added VGA portrait screen size from pablo96 (thank you )...
- Added option to Show/hide pages (in Settings > Advanced > Pages).
- Added a background option to the clock skins (its transparent on the default skin ).
- Added usefull shortcuts to the Start menu (refresh titanium, remove plugin, etc)
I checked the extra date request, but it could get sloppy... because, depending on your OS language, the letters could become a little on top of the minutes... :/
Whats new in v1.2:
-------------------
- Added two modes of viewing the date, european and american ( day/month/year or month/day/year)
- Added two modes of viewing the system values (megabytes or percentage)
- The Weather icon is now bigger on Page 1 (condensed icon is the same size).
- Changed links in the second page (system bars), now the main button goes to the Memory settings and the right softkey opens this Multi Plugin settings.
- Added the possibility of skins on icons, clock and bars, just create your own pngs in a new folder.
- Added Settings editor (you need Flash 7 to use it).
- Added in the APPS folder scrits to kill the TWolf script or to completly uninstall the plugin (script, folder, regkeys), you still need to remove it on the STAR > Settings > System > Remove... its just to help in case he doesnt want to go.
- Changed the way the pictures are listed, and added a script to delete the album.cache files.
- Removed old versions (the editor changes a lot of things).
- Added the missing T to the CAB file... (Didnt noTiced it was missing.)
NOTE: Everytime you reset your device, the script resets itself, loads your current settings, restarts the SMS viewer, refreshes the image list (this can take a while, depending on how many images are) and finally refreshes the plugin.
Everytime you save the settings, it does all this again.
Whats new in v1.1:
-------------------
- Added full date on page 1 and 12/24 clock view, configurable on the settings area of TWolf.mscr (open it with notepad).
- Changed the battery, charging battery and internal battery icons on page 2.
- Added some more tweaking on SMS reader on page 3.
- Added image viewer on page 4.
You need to configure the folder you want to see on the Settings.
Center or ENTER click goes to the next image and right softkey goes to the previous. It lists the images on first run (or every time you run TWolf\pics\Picture_list.mscr)
Please note that bigger images take longer to load.
Also, it loads ALL files, so if you have non-image files in there it will show a red cross in its behalf.
- Added weather temperature on condensed view.
- The icons image files are now on a separate folder.
- Uninstall old version, reset, install new version, reset.
hi twolf. great work brother
why do u use this value for sms?
Contact = RegRead("HKLM","Software\ThrottleLauncher\Messaging\SMS","Sender")
If we dont use throttlelauncher what shall we use here?
thats not being used at the moment, but the sms viewer from APBilbo saves the sms's there.
And that way that used the correct current sms to reply.
so erm... we wont be able to view sms if we dont have it installed or it doesnt matter?
All the necessary files are on the cab.

twolf included this in cab, so no worries. I think there isn't landscape mode yet. But great plug in, keep it up
My weather icon isn't showing, it's just a white X (in a red circle )
+ Twolf, can you add to the Previous Message thing: If you're on the first message it should jump to the last message?

It pulls the icons from the weather plugin settings in the registry so it should work fine but I have noticed that the beyond icons look the best IMHO. I always install those icons and select them in the weather options.
Looking good twolf Everything so far is working for me. I do have a question on the clock. Is there anyway for it not to be military time? and also when its like say 8:15am can the zero before the 8 be taken away?
Just something minor but thought I would ask..
Also when viewing another panel is there a way to show the current temp next to the weather icon? I attached a screenshot so you know what I'm talkin bout. Last thing how hard would it be to include new email like you do for new txt on the main screen?
Keep up the good work man this is a sweet plugin

What do you have in registry setting
HKLM/Software\Microsoft\CHome\TitaniumWeather\Page1\CurrentIcon ?
there is no currenticons or something, just Icon which refers to an icon in the titaniumweather folder condicons icon 03.png
and in Twolf's registry it says nothing at the icons
Once again TWolf you've surpassed yourself and have come up with something beautiful for us QVGA users, thank you brother.
Twolf,
Congratulations on this great plugin. It looks beautiful from your screenshot, and I'm sure it will look good once I finish flashing my Kaiser and install it.
I'm moving on to a Diamond 2 in a few days time, and 6.5 is still not available for it. Going to miss all the wonderful 6.5 plugins.
Keep it up and hope you can make your plugin compatible to WVGA soon.

My problem is fixed, i had to change Twolf.mscr to read my reg key for the weathericon which was just Icon, and Text for the degrees.
Hi, awesone plugin Twolf, but how can make this the default plugin if I want to put this like third plugin?
Another question, I´m using the spil Icons, In condensed mode only show the upper half of the icon, how I can fix it?
Will be wonderful if you can put the degrees on side of weather in condensed mode, I hope the you can fix the 2gb issue for mortscript.

Use Titanizer or Chome editor.
Yes, the weather temperature can be there too, plenty of space, the 2GB size issue Im still not sure how to do... :/
Test of the image viewer page:
Add this to the CPR before the condensed area (if you dont know how, its best if you dont do it at all, wait for the next version)
Code:
<!-- Large picture in Center -->
- <Image ID="big_image" Left="20" Top="-60" Width="200" Height="200" ScaleStyle="Fit">
<Layer ID="Border" Color="0xffffff" Left="17" Top="-103" Width="206" Height="206" />
</Image>
<Text ID="image_counter" Left="100" Top="95" Width="50" Height="34" FontFamily="Tahoma" FontSize="10" FontStyle="Regular" Wrap="False" VerticalAlignment="Center" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Trimming="EllipsisCharacter" InnerTextType="Resource" Text="cmhomeres.dll,1025">
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetDropBottomRight" Color="#00000000" TextOffset="1" BlurFactor="3" Alpha="1.0" />
<TextStage TextOffsetType="TextOffsetNone" Color="#FFFFFFFF" />
</Text>
Add the zipped files to the TWolf folder and restart.
Take in mind that it it creates a fresh list of the pics files in the folder you chose in the settings (TWolf.mscr) and refreshes the SMS's too.
Bigger images take more time to load.
Center click (or ENTER) for next pic, right bt for previous.
Enjoy.

Translation and settings guide thanks to PocketNow.com:
Tab 1 (Pages):
This is the foundation of the launcher. Before adjusting anything else, you will want to create a new page. To achieve this, simply enter a title for the new page on the first line of this tab. Then, select the preferred launcher pattern. The left box is the pattern set for portrait mode, the right is for landscape. Experiment with a few until you find one you like (previews can be viewed on dev’s site). Next, click “add” and you’ll see the entry displayed in the bottom window. If you decide to change the pattern later, be sure to click edit after making the changes or they may not take.
Tab 2 (Apps):
This is where you’ll be adding the shortcuts for each page of the launcher. Select one of your pages from the drop down menu and click “add.” For some reason, the app doesn’t seem to be very efficient in auto-searching for files or shortcuts (first two choices), so I recommend adding the file path manually. First, enter the text that you want displayed for a particular shortcut and then type in the path to that program on the line labeled “PATH.”
For example, I added Opera Mobile 9.7 by entering “\Program Files\Opera Mobile\OperaL.exe”
You’re not just restricted to program shortcuts using the manual entry method. You can also add shortcuts to other file types like images. If you don’t enjoy tapping the bottom left/right corners of the launcher to switch pages, you can add shortcuts to other pages by choosing the second to last choice from the drop down menu (during the add app process). Blank placeholders can be added by using the last option in the drop down menu, which can be used to customize the pattern of the launcher. If anyone’s able to figure out a friendlier way of using the automated method, let us know in the comments.
Tab 3 (Themes):
This tab doesn’t appear to be in use at the moment, but will probably be used in the future to quickly change themes of the launcher.
Tab 4 (General Settings):
This tab has the most Japanese characters (or blocks), so I edited a screen shot of it with English translations. View it at the end of this post.
Tab 5 (Plug-in Height):
Adjust the height of the actual plug-in here. The option at the bottom adjusts the height of the page switch area.
Tab 6 (Plug-in Width):
Likewise, you can adjust the width of the plug-in here.
Tab 7 (Colors):
Here you can change different colors associated with the launcher. The first choice is for changing the frame color, the second is for the font and the last one is to adjust the launcher’s transparency.

you can setup multiple pages, which could be changed as you said by taping/sliding at right
the pages can be edited at Tab2
tab3 - dont know what it ist
tab4 - sizes and fonts, but its not very clear what is what
tab5 - not clear yet
tab6 - not clerar yet
tab7 - change the color gradients with color picker
tab8 - credits
Big thanks to Junturo !
infact he is Japanese i think.
tab3 : if you untick the first square on the left you don't see text under the items
check all others doesn't seen difference
Tab1 : the two values (S_HEX2 and so on...)
Sheet 1 is for Portrait Background
Sheet 2 is for Landscape Background

Cool b.t.w link goes nowhere
sorry my bad
try this one http://pocketnow.com/software-1/sweet-animated-today-screen-program-launcher
been trying to read the 4th tab, this might help until an english version arrives
screen width, screen width base ( left one = half right one works for me..)
refresh rate, double speed setting (25 and 2.0 looks smooth on my polaris)
show which page upon screen tap
font, size and shadow depth
task management dropdown
tap = menu
tap = switch, hold = menu
tap = switch, hold = close
show app name, use left right key
vibrate upon tap, show redraw rate
i believe 5th and 6th tab says....
screen height
page switch area width ????
... for portrait and landscape modes respectively
7th tab
form
font
alpha (100=invisible)
awesome little program, could get to like playing with this : )
Be sure to check out the new app they made. jTSKLnch ... same core as TDlnch but runs as a standalone app. Its more usefull I think because you can have screens with 10+ icons and they will unfold over the exiting today screen or whatever app you are in.
I mapped it to the start button so it launches quickly from anywhere.

(Seeing as there's no General Thread for tablets, I've re posted this here.)
Hey guys I finally ported my "hubs" set up to Android Tablets and I have to say its 10x smoother on our 1.0 ghz dual core device. The general idea of "Hubs" is to create a dedicated screen for each piece of media/productivity while providing a visual eye candy. "Hubs" is easy to emulate, and even easier to create your own style. Despite the lengthy tutorial, its actually easier than it seems. The fun part comes with setting up you layout!
What you'll need:
Main
Adw Launcer EX
Launcher Pro Plus
Multi Live Wallpaper
Minimalistic Text
Simple Text
Optional
Pulse (for widgets)
Cowon Clock/ BobClock Widget
Mizuu Movies
Launcher Pro Plus (Widgets)

WALKTHROUGHADW Launcher Users[/U][/B]
-To remove top bar-Press and hold and empty area on your home screen then click on "Launcher Actions" > "Hide/Show Action Bars"
-Enable Widget Overlapping-"Menu"> "ADW Settings"> "UI Settings" > "Screen Preference"> Check "Overlap Widgets" in the Advanced Settings Tab
-Increase Retail Space on your screen-"Menu"> "ADW Settings"> "UI Settings" > "Screen Preference"> Increase the desktop "Rows" and "Columns" in the "Desktop Layout" Tab.
Launcher Pro Plus Users- while not optimized for 3.2, it still runs perfect.
-Increase Retail Space on your screen-"Menu"> "Preference" > "Homescreen Settings" > Increase the "Number of columns/rows" in the Homescreen Grid.
-Remove Icons From Right Dock- Hold your finger on the icon you wish to remove> "change shortcut"> "Blank"
*You may add screen transitions for each launcher if you wish, however my advise is to leave it at default as you can set transition for Multi Live wallpaper. Doing both launcher and MLW will make your screen look "too busy" IMO.
To set the "Bars" (Titles for "Home", "Music", "Movies" etc.)
Minimalistic Text
-To set title- Press and hold a free space on the screen > "widgets" > "Minimalistic Text" (size may vary per style however I use either 4x2 or 6x1 as long as its horizontal > ensure that "background color" is checked > "Predefined Layout" > "Custom" > "Custom Layout" > Click on the plus sign > "Misc" > "Static Text".
-Black Bar Tutorial click here
Wallpapers
-Set up - Load up your wallpapers on your sd card/internal memory and placing them into seperate folders and name them based on the images (ex. Music, Movies, Games etc)
- Long press an empty screen on your homescreen > "Wallpapers" > "Live Wallpapers"> "MultiPicture Live Wallpaper"> "Settings"
- For each "Screen _ Settings" Select the picture source as "Picture Folder" and navigate it to point to your corresponding homescreen.
- Additionally you make select the screen transition here that reflects your particular taste. You may also set a default wallpaper for your lockscreen.
Despite the dozen of widget on the homescreen and live wallpaper, battery use is minimal.I have provided wallpapers below to help you get started.
NAVIGATING BETWEEN HUBS
There are two methods in which you can navigate to each individual homescreen.
Method one: Prior/Alternate way for navigation text was achieved using this methodby trekkie0927. Using invisible icons in tandem with minimalistic text can make it easier to flip to each hubs. Please rate/comment his video.
Method two: I found a great alternative to Minimalistic Text in terms of using the text buttons to jump from one screen to another called Simple Text. Since it's only an icon and not a widget, it consumes no memory and provides a great minimal look.
User AcIdC0R3 has posted a great tutorial. (Please thank him!)
Make sure you have ADWLauncher EX
Go to the market and install Simple Text
Long press on the screen and select 'Custom Shortcut'
'Pick your activity', select 'Launcher Actions'
Choose which screen you want, 1 - 5 or 1 - 7 if your using seven screens
Click on the picture of the 2 screens side by side
Select 'ADWTheme IconPacks' and select 'Simple Text'
Select the grey box named 'Simple'
replace the word 'Simple' with whatever of your choosing like 'Video' for your video hub or 'Social' for your social media hub and so forth
Adjust your text size, Y and X coordinates, your shadow settings etc.
Click the little blue 'A' in the top right side of the screen and select your font (more on fonts further down)
You also have the option to select the color wheel next to the 'A' and adjust your text color
Select the menu icon on the task bar at the bottom and select 'Save Style' if you want to keep what you created for later use as well.
Click 'Save Icon' which will create your icon for you
Back at the black edit screen remove the text from the text field and click OK
You should now have a custom text icon that will activate whichever screen you chose for it. You can click any app icon on your screen and follow the same procedure for your apps so all your apps also have text icons.
[FONTS] In a file manager go to /sdcard/Simple Text/ and create a folder named 'fonts' (that is plural with an 's' at the end). Next go to somewhere like dafont.com and download you some kewl fonts and place them within that 'fonts' directory you just created. Now when you go into Simple Text to do your editing you will have more fonts to choose from.
That's all there is to it.
You can also work with layers within the creation of your Simple Text. Notice below where I created a new layer, rotated my new text layer and intersected where both words have the letter 'E'.
However you may notice that simple text does have it's limitations:
Icons can only be 1x1
Works best on adw
No way to resize; it is only an icon after all.
Miscellaneous
ISSUE: You may experience widget being placed "behind" the black bars. If so try this method provided by user SwiftLegend
1. Put the widgets/icons you want on TOP of the blackbar FIRST. You need these before anything.
2. Select a Minimalistic Text Widget, I usually use 1x1. Clear out the text options (Predefined layout > Custom, delete all of the things there)
3. Once you're back at your homescreen and see the MT Widget, just long press and re size it to your liking.
You HAVE to make sure that whatever you want on TOP of the blackbar is put on the screen FIRST. Anything put on after will go underneath.
ISSUE 2: Users have reported that Minimalistic Widget refuses to post/ show up on the homescreen.
1. Turn your tablet into portrait mode.
2. Add the widget whilst staying in portrait mode as you apply you designs.
3. Rotate back to landscape.
ISSUE 3: You can no longer take full advantage of the screen real estate using adw ex (particularly the corners)
1. Recent update kills the use of every inch of the screen. In his attempt to emulate ICS, anderwebs made the edges of the screen inaccessible.
2. Revert back to an older version (1.3.3)
here's the original layout from the nook color if you guys are interested on putting this on your homescreen HERE
and here it is in action HEREhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8DxCVzARfE&fmt=38

Hi,
thanks for sharing it looks nice and I am tempted to reproduce it on my tab.
I've had a look at your various posts and I would suggest gathering all the info in one single tutorial and include all the wallpapers you used? I can't find the Green Day wallpaper and the one you used for your video tab for example....just too lazy.... Would it be possible to a clean step by step tutorial?
woaw! thats really awesome. but how did you get the calender widget there?
bobclock won't show up
I've installed it on my tab multiple times, but it never shows up in my apps or widget list...how did you get it to work?

Maybe if you clicked all the links given you would've have realized that the wallpapers were uploaded and a more in depth tutorial was given. But yes I do agree it is not as very user friendly
Ill update it tonight or by tommorow once I get on a computer and provide a cleaner walkthrough.
This layout can be achieved by using with either adwor launcherpro. From this screenshot I'm actually using launcher pro which contains the Calender widget.the rar file I linked are just the wallpapers that people have requested

Nice. I get it. Many thanks.
Updated with full instructions!
Very helpful, thank you.
I know what I'm doing this weekend....
Excellent work, i like it very much. I have tried to make my own setup but when i use adw with multipic it does not show different pictures on different screens, they are all the same pic on every one, yet when i gave launcher pro a go it worked fine. Anyone have any idea why it will work on one and not the other? I really like adw on my tab it seems so smooth compared to anything else so would really love it to work with this. Any help or advise would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
make sure you uncheck wallpaper scrolling
I have tried that but it still refuses to work, i even deleted adw and multipic and reinstalled but still the same. I may try a factory reset and start again anyway. If that dont work im not sure what the prob could be! Cheers for the quick response.
try switching to launcher pro sorry
Question about scrolling
B"H
Quick questions - (noob)
Got a few MT Widgets setup.
1) How do I tell the widget upon press to move to another screen?
2) I'm using LauncherProPlus - how many columns / rows should I configure?
3) Once I associate the tap action with a MT widget, I cannot seem to ever get back to the configure screen again for that widget to change it?
Thank you,

1. Launcher Pro Plus contains the widget, while ADW launcher offers more customization. It's all personal choice.
2.There's no need to to create an account, however your location may prevent you from downloading it. I'll try to create a mirror when I get the chance
3. Check the nook color version of hubs as they figured out a way. Sorry can't be more of help in that area.

Tutorial Setup for Easier One Handed Operation...try Swipepad + Nova Launcher!

At the end of this tutorial you should have something like this:
Essentially, I swipe my thumb from the upper right side of my phone (I'm right handed) and I have access to this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and can just drag my thumb over whatever app I want to get to right away...
I can then swipe my thumb from the lower right side of my phone and have access to these:
Of course, this is my setup...so you can do something similar or not, but you get the idea. You can use whatever hotspots you choose too. If you want a set up like mine with many apps to access and different pads for different hotspots, you need the More Space add on[/B (paid)].
APPS YOU NEED:
1. Swipepad
Swipepad is the second best app in the world for me in terms of how useful it is in terms of general smartphone use (first would be Titanium Backup hehe)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.conduction.swipepad.android&hl=en
It's free with paid add ons. The free version works perfectly fine for me. I just got the More Space add on for..more space and more swipe pads haha and to support and give thanks for such an awesome app. If you want to have more than 1 pad though, you'd need the more space add on.
Essentially, you choose whatever hot spot/s you want (which are invisible), you can adjust the size of the hot spot to make it easier/harder to trigger too... You can then swipe from those hot spots and your swipe "pad" shows up. In your swipe pad, you get to put whatever apps or shortcuts of your choosing.
The hot spots are accessible no matter what app or game you happen to be in (be careful not to put it somewhere that could get in the way of your games though).
Paid add ons: Keypad, Widgetpad, More space. None are necessary for this tutorial but would be super useful for you.
2. Nova Launcher (or whatever launcher you prefer that has similar shortcuts)
Nova Launcher is an alternative launcher based on the AOSP 4.2 launcher. Very similar to Apex (I don't use Apex so I don't know if you can do something like this with it though). I don't know about other launchers either though they probably have some similar way of doing this.

3. Optional awesome floating apps to use in conjunction with this...I highly recommend AirCalc (free) and Floating Notes 2 (or similar floating note type apps..there are several out there, both paid and free)
STEPS:
1. Download the needed apps
2. Make Nova Launcher your default launcher app. Set it up however you want. Skip this if you already have your launcher set up the way you like it.
3. Go to Swipepad, you should be greeted with a tutorial but it's pretty simple to use.
- You'll probably see a red bar somewhere on your screen. This is the default hotspot location which you are free to change later on. The hotspot is invisible once you exit the app.
4. Under the GENERAL tab...
- Check "Enable SwipePad"
- Check "Indicator icon in Status Bar" - This keeps it always running. No affect on battery life, I promise.
- If you don't like having the indicator icon visible, feel free to check the "Transparent Icon" option though it might bother you that there is a random empty space among your notification icons.
- Other options like "Haptic Feedback", "Sound on Launch" or whatever are optional. They work as described.
5. Under the HOTSPOTS tab...
- You'll see an option to change the size of the hotspots, the default works fine for me but my thumb is quite flexible and muscle memory has made it super easy for me to swipe from the spot each time without missing. You probably won't need to change this unless you find you're having a hard time swiping from it. But trust me, it gets easier after the first few times you use it.
- You'll see a list of hotspot positions. Choose a hotspot/s of choice.
6. Select Default Pad. The other options require paid add ons.
7. Customize your SwipePad!
- To customize your swipepad, swipe from the hotspot you chose (it should now be shown in red). For as long as you have your thumb on the screen, you can see your pad. Just drag your thumb to whatever portal, the portal you're hovering on will turn orange (if its empty), lift your thumb off the screen, then you'll be able to choose what you want to put in it.
If you want to simply put applications, then just select applications, and choose your app of choice for that portal. Do the same for the other portals.
You can hide unwanted portals as well.
If you want to put shortcuts such as particular app activities, bookmarks, a particular contact, direct dial, direct message, whatever other app shortcuts..then select shortcuts and choose from there
Other functions like "Home", "All Apps" and "Context Panel" are also pretty useful.
Home - takes you straight to your desktop.
All Apps - shows you something like a drawer (non customizable) of all your apps sorted by either title or by recent use. You can also search for a particular app from there too.
Context Panel - takes you to some special functions for whatever you app you are using.
> You can share the app (as a playstore link)
> Go to the app's Google Play page
> View Application Info (force stop, enable/disable notifications, disable the app, clear data, clear cache, clear defaults, view permissions)
> Force stop the app
> Uninstall it
To change a portal link you have already set, just hold your thumb or finger over that portal for a few seconds, it will be highlighted orange (instead of blue) and then you can change it.
You can stop at 7 if you're happy with just shortcuts to apps and whatnot, but if you want portals to link to showing the Notification Drawer, your App Drawer (customized), Recent Apps, Search, etc... then keep reading
8. To have portals link to showing your Notification Drawer, custom launcher's App Drawer, Recent Apps..and all that jazz. Do step 7, choose a portal, select Shortcuts, select Nova Launcher. You will then see a list of shortcuts to Nova Launcher's functions such as App Drawer, Expand Notifications, Recent Apps, Search, Voice Search, Nova Settings..the others (like Toggle Notification Bar, Dock, etc.) won't work if you're inside another app.
Tada! Now whenever you want to access your swipepad, just swipe from the hotspot/s you chose, drag your thumb or finger over whatever portal you want (it will be highlighted blue when you hover over it), then lift your thumb or finger off~
9. You can easily access and change stuff around in SwipePad by accessing it from its Notification. You can also customize and change portals around even if you're not in the Swipepad app itself. You just need to open the app to start it up initially and it will always run from then on until you disable it again. Again, this won't affect battery life at all and doesn't use much RAM at all.
10. If you do get the More Space add on, you can create a new pad and have a different set of shortcuts on that pad..As you can see from the screenshot, I made a second pad entitled "Quick" to access stuff like Apps Drawer, Notifications etc. You can do this by doing step 5, then selecting "Add More", you will be prompted to type a name for the new pad. Then do 5 again, and select that newly created pad.
- You can change the number of portals per pad under the ADD-ONS tab in the SwipePad app. 4x3, 4x4, 5x3, 5x4, 6x3, 6x4 are the other size options. Again, you can hide portals you don't need to create the perfect size for you. 6x4 is the maximum though.
- You can also backup and restore all your pads too.
Hope you found this helpful and that you get inspired to create your own set ups from this tutorial of mine. Best of luck! Feel free to ask any questions.
Suggested shortcuts:
- Notification drawer (no need to try and reach it with your thumb or have to use your other hand to pull it down)
- Home (save your home button!)
- Recent Apps (save your home button!)
- Torch
- Camera
- Direct call/message your usual contacts..or just a shortcut to your SMS and Phone apps
- Screenshot
- Volume settings (under shortcuts -> settings shortcuts)..there's probably a way to access this (and brightness) immediately without going to their respective setting screens. I'm lazy to find out how now lol
- Brightness (under shortcuts -> settings shortcuts)
- Browser
- Note taking or voice recording apps
- Aircalc, floating notes/stickies, a floating browser, etc.
- Home
- App drawer (or All Apps)
- Context panel
- Quick post
Edit:
The most recent updates to the Swipepad and Morespace addon have added many new features that allow for MUCH easier editing of portals..like you can move them around, there's a dedicated portal editor interface, unhide hidden portals individually, customize app icon label position (hidden, above, below icon), even more grid options etc..
Definitely worth checking out, IMHO. I know there are contenders out there such as swapps and sidebar, but I find Swipepad to be the most polished and straightforward.
Agreed. Swipepad is one of the three most important Android app for me. The other two are GMD Gesture Control and Tasker. These 3 apps are the reason i can never go back to iPhone.

Under the General tab inside the Swipepad app..I believe there's an option to unhide all portals
LMT pie controls work great for me.
Looks nice but I personally love the simplicity of Button Savior. I can set what icons to show / and how long it will show. When I click that little arrow, the buttons show up for 1 second before disappearing. With the new update, the sizes are even smaller and more discreet.
For me using a android phone without swipe pad is a pain, n for phone as big as note it's indispensable, u can also add simple redial, a free app,
But on the downside this app is vry slow on updates (features) need to add many features which will eventually make it a complete launcher app,
One great feature could be live widgets on the pad, I fear if it's even remotely possible, but if done I wud never use my launcher anu more as I open all apps from Google search assigned to a spot

Hate to tell you, but android had gesture apps long before the first iPad even came out.
great thread with an awesome app find. thank you!
This is another similar app that I use on my device https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5maXZlcHJpbWVzLnJlbGF1bmNoIl0.
For those on touchwiz n other launchers, u can't set notification pulldown shortcut, i tried n searched in the play store didn't find any app,n hence made my own , place it on any slot preferable at bottom, n voila, hit thanks if it's useful, made from scratch on my note 2, without a pc

I've been using swipepad since my Evo 3d and recently with my s3 and now with my note 2. I have noticed swipepad slows the system down some. Can you guys tell me if you encounter the same. Download Epic Citadel and run the benchmark test with swipepad enabled then disable it. The framerate slows down and instead of my 45fps it goes down to 38. It also affects my quadrant frame rate.
Now I know these test are just numbers but unfortunately overall usage is affected as well for example in gaming like mc4, or nova 3. The framerate drops from time to time vs when I have swipepad disabled. I'm running stock rooted but on Tmobile.
How to use swipepad to launch from the bottom bar.
The default is set to launch googe search when swiping up from the bottom bar. How to change it ?
Thanks anon for the nice write-up. Can anyone tell me if the 'More Spaces' add-on has smaller portals than the default included one? Also, can the add-on allow you to shrink the spaces between the icons on the portal? It's really too wide! Cheers all!

Definitely yes, it has these sizes you can choose from:
4x3
4x4
5x3
5x4
6x3
6x4
6x5
7x4
7x5
7x6
I've been using SwipePad since Gingerbread. I've tried similar apps but nothing is as easy and simple as SwipePad. This app needs more love!

I recently updated my tablet from Kitkat to Marshmallow and realize that "Dynamic Pads: SwipePad add-on" doesn't work as Context Panel. From other reviews in Play Store I get feedback that this problem started a long time ago in Lollipop. Context is shown not for active app, but for active Launcher.
I overcome this problem yourself easily because I have rooted device, I moved "SwipePad Dynamic Pads" app from user apps to system apps. Now it works again as it should. Probably some app's permission restriction in LP/MM...

HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR NOTE 2 LIKE A PRO - ROOT NOT REQUIRED
I started this thread as a heads up to check out buzz launcher. But it is kind of morphing into a how to create custom homescreen thread. Posting instructions for each one of my homepacks was really junking up the place. Hopefully everyone likes the new format.

Thanks for sharing. This is another example of why I fell in love with android. Just to be helpful, and not picking at all, you could always just go into settings/display, and change your wallpapers there. That saves you from jumping back into touchwiz. Again, thanks for sharing.

I did use Buzz Launcher until Action Launcher got updated with quick widgets. I don't think I'll ever be switching launchers again.

I really love the ease of customization on Buzz Launcher. I however left my phone on overnight and it seems to have drained my battery quite a bit. I'll keep using it and see how it goes.

I have also had diminished battery life, although I still make it through a day easily. I am also using the phone more playing with the launcher and the setup, so I attribute most of the battery loss to that. But I wondered if the large increase of widgets running would use more system memory which would drain the battery more?
Its not a huge down side for me since I only really care about making it through the day. And it still beats the GNex battery life by a mile

Absolutely true. I used to hardly get through a day without even using wifi or 4G. But I typically use lots of widgets so it might just be downloading and trying 20 different themes

Ughh, you quoted my bad grammar. I tried to fix it, lol.
Be sure you post any awesome setups you find, and let us know how you set it up, and tweaked it for the Note 2!

Anyone like any of the wallpapers I have made, if so which ones?
If anyone has a wallpaper they like and want to use it, send it to me and Ill make it for this homescreen.
Am I the only one having an issue with the UCCW widget not working for email?
Love the set up btw.
The widget points to gmail by default (sorry it's what I use) you should be able to edit it though to what ever you want. Ill post instructions when I get to my computer.
