I setup SIP calling through Sipdroid and Pbxes just fine. Uninstalled Sipdroid and was able to make SIP calls over 3G/WiFi using the Android Native Dialer. Suddenly my SIP calling does not work any more. I did not change any of the settings. When making calls over 3G/WiFi the call connects but immediately hangs up. The call log shows the call as outgoing but lasting "0 minutes, 0 seconds." Anyone else having this problem? The Sipdroid app works just fine but I don't want it running all the time. Seems to be a problem with the Native Dialer perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Running Andrioid 4.0.4 on GSM Galaxy Nexus
UPDATE: I can make outgoing calls only if "Receive Incoming Calls" is checked. I would assume there is a way to make outgoing calls over SIP without having to accept them since I have GV forwarded to my cell number (yes I know it uses minutes but it saves on battery.)
Have you (or anyone else) had any luck making outgoing calls without having the "receive incoming calls" checked?

Right now, I am unable to make outgoing calls from my Archos 43 running UrukDroid 1.0 (I've tested using stock firmware 2.3.26) and I don't understand how I'm supposed to make calls by routing my call through google voice if I have no dialer. My setup looks like this: PBXes provides SIP -> use IPKall for a free washington state number -> use to validate google voice with a softphone (I used 3CXPhone). The only successful way I've been able to make calls was using 'connect with phone' on the google voice site, which called my sip number -> address and I was able to receive the call using Sipdroid base. I'm not going to have desktop access to google voice all the time though, so I tried CSipSimple as well, which just hangs up right away (Sipdroid hangs up instantly when you try sending the call) The weird thing is, it shows that Sipdroid is dialing [email protected] rather than the actual number, which makes sense to me because it's an SIP dialer/client. Now, I want my calls to be routed through google voice, not sent to my SIP provider. What is the easiest way to do this? Thank you!
Edited:
Setting up a trunk and outbound route in PBXes or using SIPSorcery (it doesn't actually provide SIP) just plays some really weird opera music on every outgoing call.
I used fring for sip and that was working ok.
comes with its own dailer and you can use the normal contacts.
Hi,
I use Sipdroid for a while now and I am quite sure that incoming calls reached my X10 in 1.6 or 2.1 or 2.2. Today I made a test and an outgoing call worked perfect but I did not get a notice about an incoming call. Sipdroid showed with a green dot that it is connected. Is this normal?
Can Sipdroid interfere with the build in client? Is it better to use the build in client? Can I use a stun server with the built in client? I need stun because of my provider. How can I get incoming calls over sipdroid?
Tanks in advance Ralf
First of all I apologize if this already has been discussed on this forum. I have looked but couldn't find anyone discussing this issue.
I have a galaxy Nexus that is setup for pbxes/ google voice incoming / outgoing calls. When I receive a call it looks like this on screen
John [email protected]
but since this number is in my contacts list it appears as John +1 512-425-4277 on call log screen.
When I hit the number to call back nothing happens. But when I manually enter the number +1 512-425-4277 it dials fine. Seems like Pbxes can't dial back to the same number it sends with incoming call. What am i missing in the configuration so that wifi outbound calling works fine for a regular number but not for internet number. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Did you every get this fixed?
No. I am now using cell phone minutes to receive and google voice/ pbxes to make calls.
Hey, O am having a little issue so I hope you guys can help me out. I am using the built in sip connectivity in the dialer that comes stock (I am using golden eye rom). I have it set to receive calls as well but I am having an issue that for some reason or another after a little while I can't receive calls unless I go into the settings and untick then retick the receive calls option. Any ideas how to solve this or maybe I missed a setting? I am using freecall for sip service since I have an account with them to make calls. Now, making calls works great and always works its just the receiving calls which sucks right now.. Look bellow to understand my full setup
Person Call my GV number -> GV rings IPKall number -> my phone should ring. Some times it does, like within 20 minutes of signing in but once I sleep my device its done.
I have CM11 nightlies, default kernel. Problem existed in earlier versions as well and may be related to my device or Cyanogenmod.
I have a few SIP accounts set up in native SIP app with enabled option "Receive incoming calls". After reboot I can receive and make calls without an issue. However, after some time, a day or so (phone is always connected to charger) suddenly I cannot receiving calls. While this happen, I go to SIP settings to check if registration error occurres but nothing is there but "Receiving calls" status. Only when I reboot device or disable & enable again "Receive incoming calls" I can receive calls again.
Do you know this issue?
Any workarounds?
Maybe I should use other app for voip - if so, what do you recommend?
Thanks.
