Hello all. I've got a problem. My phone is Xperia Mini Pro. I did everything in this tutorial to install custom rom. First I downgraded my firmware, then rooted, installed CWM, unlocked bootloader and at last installed kernel from this rom, but forgot to move the rom on SD card. Now when i launch my phone I can see FreeXperia logo, but it stucks on Sony Erricson logo. I can enter Clockwork, fastboot etc. What should I do?
turn off your phone
take out the memory card and copy the zip using a card reader or some other phone.
then power on> go to CWM and flash the ROM.
Is not needed.
Connect USB cable to your phone and computer, enter the recovery, then go to mounts and storage and mount USB storage.
Your SDcard will be available in your computer as removable disk and you can place the .zip file to the sdcard. I do that all the time

Hi
I am on Wolfs TW Gingerbread. I went in xrec and formated system + cache and clicked on fix permissions. Then I have restarted the phone and it stucks on the Sony Ericsson logo. I can't even enter xrec.
But the real problem is that my usb doesn't work and i cannot connect the X10 to my laptop. Is there a way to fix it somehow without connecting to a computer?

You have formatted system???!!! That an anwer why you stucked on SE logo
Now you have to download ROM again, place its zip on sdcard and flash it again. You dont need usb cable.
How to install it? I can't enter xrecovery

You have to get your usb port fixed, I don't think you can enter anything since you've formatted your system.
Follow these steps because you cannot connect your phone to the computer:
1. Get your memory card in a card reader.
2. Connect it to PC and copy the rom file in the memory card.
3. You cannot enter recovery because maybe you formatted your memory card too, find a tutorial on how to install x-recovery manually on youtube and install it in the memory card using the card reader.
4. Place the card back in your phone and press the back key as soon as you see the SE logo. You should now be able to install the rom via zip in x-recovery .
I hope this detailed info would helps you.

I am almost surethat this wouldnt help him. X-recovery (and other recoveries) are placed on system partition (you can see that manual installation of xrec was to place some files and chmod in system root FS), so he formated recovery also.
As told before, now you need to fix usb port first. Because only solution is flashmode flash with Flashtool. No other way dude, sorry..

Well, atleast this will help you get back to stock again. Even with a broken usb port.

Thank you to all of you
OK, I made a stupid mistake and before I throw my phone away, I thought I would at least check to see if someone has a recommendation first.
In CWM, I chose to format system, data, and all the other format options. It essentially wiped my device, and then when I chose to reboot recovery, it hangs at the Vibrant screen. I am now not able to boot into recovery. I assume that my choice in formatting everything removed recovery? Not a problem in and of itself because I can get my phone into download mode and use Odin to put my recovery and desired ROM except that my micro USB port is damaged to the point that my phone will not charge or connect to a PC.
In short, is there a way to install a version of recovery onto my external sd card and then have my phone boot from external SD card? Since I cannot physically plug my phone into a computer, the only way I can think of getting files onto the device is via the external SD card.
Any other suggestions are appreciated, including what to do with my new brick
You can always fix the USB port on your phone so don't toss it, unless you want to toss it my way!
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.
I've recently flashed my phone with Nemesis kernel using Flashtool, and installed "MoonBreaker 3.5". Unfortunately it is horribly, horribly broken so I have tried to do a full wipe and reinstall. This also failed to work, and somehow wiped my internal storage, so now I have no kernels or roms available on this phone.
The phone boots, but the market doesn't work, downloads app doesn't work, there is no file explorer and no network connection. The phone will not mount as usb storage when booted, or when in CWM recovery. When booted it gives me an "MTP USB Device - Failed" message after attempting to install drivers (win7 and winxp). When in CWM it does nothing at all.
Therefore my question is, how on earth do I get files onto my phone now?

What model of phone do you have? I had the same problem with the Sola (I insanely forgot copy .zip on sdcard before flashing bootloader) and i solved copying the archive on external SD then with CWM selecting Install zip from external sd. Of course this method is not valid if you have Xperia U. In this case or in another case where you haven't any external SD slot try reading this guide.
I have an Xperia P, sorry the forum denied my edit for some reason. Thanks for your ideas!
I've had some success booting into fastboot then, while it's connected, switching to flash mode. Stock kernel reinstalled! Thanks for your help!!

Hi,
This is my first time rooting my HTC One (T-Mobile) and have managed to unlock my bootloader and install TWRP Recovery. Long story short, while attempting to install the latest Android Revolution HD Custom ROM, I seemed to have wiped my whole phone clean and don't even have an operating system anymore.
How can I get the Custom ROM file from my computer to my phone if I don't even have an operating system to boot into? It would be no problem if this phone had an SD card slot, but it doesn't . The only thing I can boot into now is the TWRP Recovery.
I have tried using the MOUNT option in TWRP Recovery, but to no avail. I have also tried to download HTC Sync Manager and the computer still does not recognize my HTC One. All I need is for my computer to recognize my phone and pop up in Windows Explorer so I can copy it into my phone's internal memory and use TWRP Recovery to install the ROM.
P.S. I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit.
PLEASE HELP ME! :'(
I am in the same situation, i have no operating system and can't access the internal storage.
How do I enable usb debugging?
USB OTG
Hi guys,
I just had this same problem. I formatted internal storage and had no OS at all.
I bought a USB OTG wire from Amazon. I put the ROM I wanted to install on a regular USB Drive and connected it using the USB OTG wire.
http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-...e=UTF8&qid=1398213984&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+otg
In TWRP I went to the Mount function and unchecked all boxes except USB OTG. Make sure that's checked. Then, go to install and navigate up folders to the top level folder. Scroll down and the bottom folder will be called USB OTG. Look in there for your ROM.
Install and enjoy!
Now if someone could help me figure out why ADB won't connect: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727881
Hello,
Last week I decided to update my old rooted 4.1.2 for a brand new 4.4.4 ROM you can see in the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...29-9-2014-official-stock-rom-testing-t2890734
It went quite well, I used PhilZ 6.48.4 to install the zip file. For not very rational reasons I wanted to do it a second time to make it "perfect"; I did go on PhilZ to wipe all my data like the other time, I verified if "mount USB storage" worked before doing so, it did as in ADB my phone was detected....problem is after formating my phone storage on Philz, strangely I can't connect my phone to my PC anymore. It just says on my computer (Windows 8.1) "USB device got a problem", ADB doesn't detect it anymore, same for ODIN, smells bad lol.
So I wondered if you can use an external SD Card on Philz, in order to put the ROM zip file on this external SD Card and bring back my phone from the dead with it??
I precise that my phone isn't Hard Bricked, I can't start it anymore coz I formatted all, but I can still access to a fully working PhilZ Touch interface...aside that my dumb PC won't recognize my phone again
Thank you for you future help
In Philz when you mount USB storage from "Mounts and Storage" it mounts your external SD.
Great so there is a way out of this! I'll try it out by buying a micro SD card
