Just an FYI. I picked up a cover at Staples over the weekend. It is a Targus leather book style cover for the A500. It looked as though it would fit so I decided to give it a go. It fits almost perfectly. There is an unnecessary opening on the back, for the A500 speaker I assume, and the headphone jack is a bit tight to reach, but otherwise it works very well. The 300 speaker is covered, but I have no problems hearing it. I have used it for podcasts and I hear them fine. I have been able to plug in my headphones although I will likely try and make that space a bit larger. I don't have a keyboard so I didn't have to worry about that. The power is in the bottom and is easily accessible.
I do not have a model number, but again it is a Targus book style case for the A500. More importantly, if this A500 cover fits, others likely will as well. It opens up the possibilities a bit at least.

i'm waiting to get that cover that covers both the tablet and the dock. you can also separate out the tablet from the dock and still have it covers. it looks pretty cool...but its not in yet.

It's okay, (currently own one) however I returned my transformer prime and dock and picked up the 32gb Eee Pad TF300, the only thing I did not like about it was the fact that without the dock included the cover is loose on the flap. . .it was more built with the keyboard in-mind.
Hope this helps

My case finally arrived today after 2 weeks of waiting. I bought mine from amazon it was at 12.99 when I got it now its at 19.99 Overall I find it very good, except that the headphone jack hole is placed on the wrong side of the case, I'm going to try to get a partial refund for it, otherwise I'm just going to make the hole myself with a paper puncher. The link to the product is here
And now some pictures

I forgot to take a picture of the charging port, it does have a perfect hole in the case for that. Every other port or button holes are correctly placed. Although there's not a hole per say for the mic it still works as normal.

Hey folks,
I've got the transformer, and dock. I'd like to be able to get a case, hardcase for it to protect it, but still use my dock and not have to remove the case.
Are there any cases that do this? I'm tired of reading threads about ""cases" and finding sleeves. I want an actual case.
I was thinking of one of these (same case, I'm posting both links as there are different images):
http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-Ver...I0/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1304881131&sr=8-11
http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-Mul...592A/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1304881131&sr=8-9
Does anyone have any experience with them? How well does the TF fit? My worry is for the depth, as the case has been designed for netbooks and the TF (together with the dock) may not sit firmly but move from one side to another. Also, on the height the TF may be a bit too large.
Yeah that wasn't what I was looking for.
I meant a case.. like... thing that attaches to the item to protect it completely constantly, not something you put it in. I ordered a 5.99 neoprene sleeve for this from that other thread. Something like the asus official product already out. But compatible with the dock.
I can see where the confusion would be.
I guess the word I'm looking for is "skin"
I grabbed a roocase superbubble for an Asus netbook, its a little on the tall side but I feel super safe sticking my tf101 in there. It also doesn't actually side Mich at all due to the bubble cushions on the inside

There seems to be very little room in the hinge when you try and place the TF in the dock. This is probably by design to ensure a snug fit. You can find those stick covers to cover your TF but I seriously doubt a hard case will work; it would need to be paper thin so there would be almost no point.
The neoprene case I got yesterday for $13.68 is a perfect fit and has room for the charger in the front pocket as well...

What he said.
A cover for the tablet that will allow you to dock it to the keyboard without taking the cover off would have to be VERY VERY thin, or would have to be open (not cover) the section of the base that joins to the dock.
I actually modified the official Asus Sleeve Case to stay on my TF and still dock to the keyboard. Wasnt hard to do. If interested Ill do a write up.

You can find the HOW TO here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=13691514
Just took delivery of my new Tuff Luv case, I went for the cheaper faux leather option. First impressions is that the build quality is really nice, when you have the transformer docked it all fits together nicely. Equally using it without the dock it turns into a nice folio case, not 100% sure I like the stand part on the back as I don't use it and it adds a little extra bulk, but without it you wouldn't have a docking place for the keyboard. After using it next week I will update with how it functions.

Yes.. one of my photos from side on shows the tablet docked and closed with the cover in place.
If its not too much trouble, could someone please post a few more detailed photos of the tablet in the case without the dock.
My leather case (with keyboard cover) arrived this afternoon. The construction is very good and the tablet is well secured with or without the keyboard.
It does add somewhat to the weight of the overall package, but this is to be expected - they do not use lightweight leather in the build.
I expect it to last at least as long as the Transformer itself...

Hi - I'm thinking of the leather case with keybd cover but was concerned if the tablet can easily slip out when keybd not connected - is this a problem?
Also how is it when you want to stand it up as a tablet by itself to watch a movie? Does the stand work?
Many thanks!

I actually like it. Not sure what problem with charging while it's attached, mine is easily plugged in. I like it because it's nice and thin, and I'm not terribly worried about the back getting scuffed up. I might be unusual in that regard, tho.

I find it very useful. Use my TP about 7-9 hours a day straight and it works in great form presentations to movies to typing. It'd all how u want to look at it. If you think it's garbage you will see it only like that. I have a backside protector and it won't ever scratch etc. You just can't charge it while it's in the high position.

Already got the Asus sleeve from amazon and the first think I did before I applied was to put some thick tape on the hinge. After that also putted a very small pice on the back of the tablet and now is working great I don't have the risk of any scratch type.
I think is a good product with its flaws but it's overpriced
just purchased the Targus A7 Neoprene Netbook Sleeve for the Transformer Prime. Pay $18 from Staples.
Staples link here: http://www.staples.com/Targus-A7-Netbook-Sleeve-Black-102/product_903968
Manufacturer link here: http://www.targus.com/us/productdetail.aspx?regionId=7&sku=TSS109US&PageName=a7%20netbook%20|%20Targus%20USA&productCategoryId=5&bucketTypeId=0&searchedTerms=a7%20netbook&navlevel1=&cp=&bannertxt=Search%20Results%20a7%20netbook
The tag says it uses the Tri-cell cushion system, which appears to be a nice thick foam lining the inside of the sleeve. If you watch the video in the manufacturer link above, that bubbly blondie says that the case is made of the same wear and water-resistant material used in tents and inflatable boats.
So far, I love this sleeve. Gives you a soft, padded protection lining on the inside (which I feel was missing in my sleeves while I was researching), and is a great fit with the Prime.

You can't tell from looking at the pictures he posted? There's room for a dock and my fist in that sleeve. You'll be fine with this sleeve if you're concerned about being able to fit the keyboard dock as well.
But hey, it's not my $18. If you want to confirm more, by all means do so. But I'm pretty convinced it does by seeing those pictures.
I'm using the A7 Sleeve as well, and it works like a charm! My Prime fits perfectly, even leaving enough wiggle room (not too much tho, so its not sliding around).
Just wish it had another little side pocket for my charger!
I have this exact one also. I like it alot. It will do until I fins an official case roms go on the prime itself. Then I could put both inside this tsrgus case. I lil while back I had posted pix of this in the neoprene thread. Paid like 20 dollars from best buy. SAMSUNG galaxy tab had a really nice one but was expensive. They also had some military grade rubberized case for Ipad that looked very heavy duty. Rubber felt thick like a tire ..lol.
Overall this targus sleeve is very nice. Love how the interior is padded and protects the prime so well.
I've got the same sleeve. It has been working out just fine but ultimately I would like to get some sort of slim hard case as soon as availability of such cases improves.

It's the Targus A7 for 10.2 netbooks which I'm guessing is more than ample for the TP + dock.

OK. I didn't know they carried different sizes. This is the one I actually have. For 10.2 netbooks. Remember it being on the tag. That's a great deal on Amazon because it costed me 20 in best buy.
I have the Targus A7 ipad version. It fits my docked prime perfectly. It slides in and out easily and zipper closes without any contact to prime itself due to padding along the zipper.

I am looking for a case that can accommodate both the TF300T and the keyboard dock but with the option to leave out the keyboard if I so choose to.
Currently I have this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MoKo-Foldin...1SCQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1364833328&sr=8-1 but that will only do the tablet.
Can anyone suggest one that can take both and keep them safe while travelling? Ideally I'm looking for something that does not cover the front bezel at all (like my current case), I find it annoying to touch corners with these covers on.

Yeah, I use mine all the time. It works nicely even without the dock part attached. It's good quality too. Mine is holding up nicely.
I ordered http://www.minisuit.com/p-1033-mini...ather-dual-view-grooves-stand-case-black.aspx and got sent http://www.minisuit.com/p-931-asus-...ase-compatible-with-mobile-docking-black.aspx
Thankfully minisuit were very easy to deal with and sent me the correct case within a week - not bad for way down in New Zealand. Anyway, when I received the wrong case I tried it out as the packaging wasn't sealed.
By gods it was awful, having it's huge and fits poorly around the tablet screen - if you were using it to store many other things it might be useful but for just protecting the tablet + dock it's unwieldy as hell. Great that you can remove the dock portion, but those snaps are huge and jut out a long way, and elastic straps to hold the keyboard in? Surely there's a more discreet way. The velcro strap that goes over the top of the tablet round to the front, its like they're intentionally trying to be ugly. I honestly found a 10inch neoprene netbook cover easier to use.
It was a relief to receive the dual view with grooves stand that actually fits well and doesn't show as much around the front of the tablet, it doesn't protect the keyboard as well, but I don't need it to. Build quality is ten times that of the folio case, and from the same manufacturer!
