Soooo before the flame begins, yes i was stupid to do this so that is covered. Was curious today and never played with the app in question (chainfire 3D) and installed in my LTE. Little did I know this app doesn't work with ICS (so i read?..). Well I installed the driver that came with it and since after initial shutdown from installation, I can only get to my splash screen. I've tried recovery and fastboot combos and neither pass the splash screen >.< Anyone?
U try running the RUU?

Was thinking about trying that. Worried this may brick my secure element : S
Edit: tried the RUU (RUU_JEWEL_CL_ICS_40_Sprint_WWE_1.12.651.2_Radio_1.02.11.0423_2_NV_SPCS_2.28_003_release_257970_signed), got an unknown error. Attempted the error recovery method from RUU but was unable to get to the bootloader screen...****.
Gotta do it...

where did you get the 1.12.651.2
all i can find is 1.12.651.1
shipped-roms.com. I guess i could try the .1 version
when i try to run the .1 ruu, it shows im on 1.12.651.1_R2
Just tried the .1 RUU, got error [155]: UKNOWN ERROR again... gonna try the Recover option thru that..
edit* error 155 again after Recovery option success and RUU reflash :'(
edit* I'm not too familiar with ADB, but do you think I could get to my hboot/bootloader screen through it or perhaps Recovery in general?

But you did get to the splash screen and that's a sign of hope..this phone won't even do that. nothing at all screen dead, everything is dead including bootloader. :\
Shutdown the phone and boot into bootloader.
Option 1) do a factory reset and if it doesn't work then,
Option 2) select fastboot then ran Ruu.

There is no way to boot into bootloader or fastboot, whether through adb or the key combos :S Adb states device not found and the key combos only give me splash then a lightly lit black screen..

Are you positive about not able to boot into bootloader with key combo? Your phone has to pass bootloader before going to the splash screen.

So you tried booting as instructed as the above link?

Ive never really pressed the power button a second time after the initial let-off. I'll give it a shot when I get home, but I'm expecting the same results. Just FYI, I DO see the two Orange bars move on the splash screen (upper right) before it goes blank..

Sounds like a case of the looped boot screen

UPDATE! Phone was completely drained when i got home...plugged into charger, orange light came on! Was able to enter the bootloader through the key combo and successfully entered my TWRP to do a nand restore. Restore went well and am now running again! Brick fixed by draining battery!
Good to hear:good:. brick was fixed by draining battery :what: then why did you need to do a nand restore? Whatever worked for you
why i said it was fixed via drain was that the charge light finally came on after it died and was plugged in, therefore it allowed me to access bootloader which let me into recovery to restore my backed up clean system files. When the nand restore was completed i was actually able to pass my splash screen! : )

Are you able to put your device in ODIN update mode?
Turn on the device holding power+volume down.
If so you will be able to restore the device using an ODIN image.
though very unlikely if you cant turn it on.
If not, I hate to say it.. but you should take it to repair.
What you have done, HAS broken your warranty. But if it wont even turn on i doubt they'll ever find out. What I suggest is you take it there, make no mention of modding or rooting, and hope they'll be nice and give you a new device.
yeah, they dont find out
do you know what reason that ones got brick?
follow the process good
but
some of us got brick
some of us isnt
ViperRom ICS Was using my phone and it froze. Pulled the battery and Restarted. It bootlooped at the HTC Screen. I have tried just about everything. Flashed Recovery, Wont boot into it. Full PG36img, still bootloop. My phone doesnt even charge when its off. The charging indicator light flashes, but it doesnt charge the battery. I had to use a friends battery to keep trying. I have spent 2 days flashing just about everything i could find to no avail. Can get to bootloader and fastboot, but thats about it. I have bricked and unbricked my phones many times over the years, but this one, i cant seem to get it to load anything, even recovery.

Use 4ext recovery and it should work and charge your phone while it's off.
I guess you have gsm evo 3d so download and flash the img from this zip via fastboot - www.4ext.net/ddl/shooteru/recovery.zip
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.
Hi thanks for looking at my thread.
My phone was acting up so I rebooted it an then it was just stuck on the loading screen and i was like oh mo big deal so i shut it off and turned it ok again and it did the same thing... So i went into bootloader and clicked recovery like a normal human being and then at the too it said entering recovery... But nothing ever happens. I boot it it just freezes i load recovery it just freezes i click facory restore it freezes. My phone mecer connects to my computer for some reason even when i have adb but either way it was my source of internet so i cant download ruu or anything. I was using a venom rom im pretty sure the latest one and its the at&t model.

Get into the bootloader and use fastboot. Get the HTC all in one tool kit and reflash either CWM or TWRP to try to get into recovery. If that doesn't work, leave it on fastboot and run the RUU from HTC.
Hello! My brother gave me this phone to repair it kind of. It is fully stock, and when I try to turn it on it either restarts on white screen, or restarts after when the home screen shows up. I went to rooting guides for the phone, and I only unlocked the bootloader. Problem now is that because of the restarts I can't put superuser.zip and cwm img on sdcard since I can't turn on the phone and connect with sdcard. Oh and I did factory reset twice it didn't fix it. Is there any way to fix the phone?
Well now I succeded installing new rom and recovery from SDcard because I put SDcard in another phone. Thing is even now the device turns on gets to customization screen and then it restarts and it has infinite loop. What to do?
Make sure battery is fully charged/ good
Bootloops can sometimes be fixed by flashing boot.IMG through fastboot...but I don't think that's your issue
