[Q] Problem with link2sd - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi I have a problem with link2sd. When I try to link an app it answer with an error that the folder where put files (if I remember correctly is data/sdext2/davilk cache) it tell tra it's read only. And if I try to modify ro with rw with root explorer nothing change.
What it could be? I have miracle v4.

Backup current rom or download same version from samfirmware.com.
Then flash custom roms

Solved only flashing again. Now work fine. Don't know why..

[Q] A2sdGUI problem

Hello everybody. Here's my problem.
I wanted to deactivate swap in A2sdGUI but once i unchecked it and rebooted I found out swap was active again, and the box saying "Apps are on SD-Ext" had disappeared. I can still see the "Apps are on Internal Memory" box unchecked, and I can see all of my apps, all of them working.
Is there a solution to this? Or shall I re-flash my ROM?
I'm on GLSMT 2.1, KPO base.
Thank you in advance.
I deleted Swap partition and now it doesn't see it, that's good.
But I still can't see the "Apps are on SD-EXT" box, everything is working though.
I tried typing "a2sd repair" on terminal emulator but nothing changed...
Once you activate swap , the apps will automatically be transferred to the sd-ext partition . Furthermore , this is better actually

Oh well, that sounds good! ^^ Hitted Thanks!
Ok I was wrong. Apps are back on internal memory.
I have a CWM backup, in which there is the only difference that I was using swap.
If I restore that backup, will it be ok and solve the A2sd issue, or the fact of NOT having a swap partition anymore on sd will cause the same problem to appear?
Thanks in advance.

Try reflash dta2sd script first?
Oh geez... Too late. Already going on with last recovery image. Let's hope it works! ^^
Btw, in the case of another similar situation, how to reflash a2sd script?
I didn't do it on myself the first time, because GLSMT rom had it already set.
Ok restoring worked!

Superoneclick could be a good idea. Install it and just click on unroot. They say just don't mount the sd card and you'll be fine.

What? So you're asking how to use root applications after you lost root, without actually rooting again? Seriously?
Is anyone else troubled by the change of screen colour after a root? lol?
Dude, root it with SuperOneClick, takes 5 min and is easy, so easy even a barely english speaking person such as yourself couldnt screw it up.
dude i had root my phone using superoneclick,so dont give a ****.i am just asking that is there any chance to unblock my apps without rooting it again.

how to work the apps which require root permision without rooting the phone? no chance...
Rooting may have not caused your screen problem, its caused by any application you used after rooting. as far as I know to rectify such problem within the firmware you need root again...

Root your phone again. Get mobile Odin pro. Then again flash full stock firmware.
This way you'll keep root with full stock firmware.

rooting my phone????

Now then guys... i am thinking about rooting my phone to put jelly bean on my samsung galaxy s2 .... i was just wondering views on which is the best one to go for ( LINKS PLEASE ) and is it easy to do you know the usual questions you will have heard them before lol IM A NEWBIE !!!
Cheers People
Download Siyah 3.5.2.
http://www.gokhanmoral.com/gm/2012/07/29/siyahkernel-s2-v3-5/
Tar for Odin.
Then use this guide.
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s2-i9100-root-android-4-0-3-ics-xwlpd-88120/
Nevermind it says Cf-root. I flashed my Siyah kernel that way.
After that, flash any rom you want in recovery. Just do a Nandroid backup in recovery and backup apps with Titanium backup from Market!!!
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
Don't restore apps after flashing newer ROM, cause your phone will bootloop.
Better create text file and write names of installed apps.
Im not sure why everyone is worried about backing up there apps ive flashed about a 100 roms and never had to back them up cause if u go to the play store under my apps there always there
Infact there are apps there id forgotten about just pick which ones u want and re install .some roms auto instal them for u .make sure you have a google acc obviously!

What type of data? Music and photos are saved to the external SD card for me, and as for game save data, I believe that is externally backed up as well.

Only if the application is on the external memory card then it's backed up there. Otherwise they'll loose the data if that's not the case.

If you restore from google play, you loose all your app settings and you will have to reconfigure each app.
Also, Google Play will not show apps installed offline (apk)
Restoring app data with third party app like titanium backup is safe if app is compatible with the target rom

And when I get bored of a rom I just restore my nand backup of something previous.

in order to install a perticular custom rom , all u have to do is to follow the install instruction's of the same in there OP. and the same applies to all other roms also.
since installation instruction do vary from one custom rom to another
Jasper, you are better to read up on things so you are familiar with the processes of like rooting/kernels/roms/cwm/Odin/troubleshooting.
I understand reading 1000s of posts is tedious, but you could end up with a non working phone.
