So I assume this would really be similar to the leaked ICS rom? Can I use the .ftf file for flashing my phone which has an unlocked bootloader? Thanks.
Hmm, still no notification here. By the way, will I get the notification even if I'm not on stock kernel? I'm on stock rom though.
Please anyoe from denmark, sweden, nordic, norway
PLEASE ANYOE FROM DENMARK, SWEDEN, NORDIC, NORWAY, if you have match SI number, please update your phone and give us your .ftf file
please help us that came from another country
"The software will initially be made available for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray for consumers in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway. For the above models, the software rollout will continue over the next 4-6 weeks, becoming available in other global markets – we will update you here on the blog when additional markets can upgrade."
Can't wait or the ftf file But to be honest, if the firmware number is 562 than i'll stay longer with current one then..
Could there be some way to make PC Companion think we are from one of these countries and with one of those serial numbers? Dunno, maybe with a combination of swedish proxy + some way to change the serial number (memory editor maybe?).

Neo V MT11i and MT11a Roms interchangeable?

Most of the roms I have found in XDA forumn are for MT11i. I would like someone to confirm that MT11i roms can be flashed for MT11a devices which use 850mhz baseband for its 3g, where MT11i use 900mhz baseband for its 3g. Someone please help me out. Thank you.
I would think that if you tick exclude baseband there should be no problems ;-)
If it were me I would make sure I had an original Rom to hand first and then just try it, flash the one you want to try, including baseband if you have network issues flash the baseband for the original ftf

May I ask if anyone can advise me where to download the ftf file for the MT11a ICS rom? As I have flashed the ICS for MT11i on my phone already, it operates without problem. However, now I'm not in my own country, so I can't test whether the 3g network will work without issues.

want to use your custom rom for it is very great if thats proper grammar but i dont want to mess up at rooting stage so plz i know you will point me to reading but reading all thread no one seems to answer the question clearly for noobs like myself . do use the mt11i ftfs to root and everything
Mt11i and mt11a are the same device just different 3g bands, you can flash mt11i firmware to mt11a and it will continue working on 3g 850, only that it will show as mt11i in device info. I have an mt15a working perfectly with mt15i firmware. It is always a good idea to have a backup of your original firmware.

all i have to is not flash base band or its okay to do so and flashing custom it has to be flashed on ftf its based on and baseband in order for it to work properly for i really want to try xperia pureness as my first and only custom rom
p.s. the last question to clear my nerves and go ahead with flashing
I would try with your existing baseband to begin with, only flashing mt11i if you have problems

rooting which i have to do after flashing the firmware of mt11i with baseband excluded then follow proceedure . so with using a custom rom like xperia pureness which requires a baseband of .72 what do i do ? trying to get feedback from developer of rom but no such luck.
Basebands are recommended not compulsory.

My mt15a is working fine with baseband from mt15i, since I do not have a mt11a I am not sure if it will be the same for neo V but I guess it will be.

Hi underskyzx! Thanks for you answer.
Exactly. I live in Brazil.
So... I need ROM of the ST25a, not ST25i. Can I use this ROM without problems?
ICS, for me, no more... only with Xperia P or above...
Regards!

The only difference between ST25a and ST25i firmware is the baseband.
Just check "Exclude baseband" in Flashtool if you flashing a ST25i on your ST25a.
I have 6.0.B.3.184 of telcel mexico. I need upload
