Hello,
Before flashing a new kernel today, I kept getting random reboots and and I thought the kernel might be playing up (I didnt install any new apps or modify anything before hand). So I installed the latest Siyah kernel (Siyah-v3.2-CWM) and now when I load up my phone, I go past the lock screen and I just keep getting multiple closed messages for different applications. I also cant open any of them as I get a message saying "Unfortunately, [app name] has stopped".
I cant open Titanium Backup so Im screwed
Please help.
I have also tried wiping both caches but it hasnt worked / reset init.d file (if that helps?)
Flash back your old kernel, at least you'll be back where you started.

Hi guys,
I'm having issues with my SGS2 and I would appreciate very much if you guys could lend me a hand.
I had VillainRom 2.4.2, Ninphetamine 2.0.5 and modem KG6.
I tried to install this Dark theme but something went terribly wrong and I had processes crashing, couldn't see any links to the phone dialer, messaging, etc.
I'm trying to wipe the phone back to full stock but I can't for some reason.
I tried booting into recovery mode, wiping cache and all information but when the phone boots I'm back to a black skin with several crashing warnings.
I tried to reflash KG6 with odin and selecting repartitioning but when I boot again I'm back to the same black skin missing functions and receiving some crashing alerts.
I tried to factory default through Settings -> Security -> Factory Default to no avail.
All the guides I was able to find on the net to put the phone 100% back to stock failed as I always boot to a non-working dark theme.
Can someone please provide me some help?
Would appreciate very much any pointers.
EDIT: After I boot into this dark theme, I'm getting messages like process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly for example.
Factory reset does not mean that it removes all your custom rom stuff and all that. That's a nice thought, but that's not how it works
You need to flash a different rom on your phone after having wiped everything. This will fix your problem. And if you so very much want to go back to stock, you could always flash a stock rom through ODIN which you can get from one of the available threads.
Boot to recovery mounts and storage format system data and sd card ,
Power off boot to download mode flash stock firmware via Odin .

I don't know if I'm understanding.
I did reflash the phone with samsfirmware Europe KG6 after a complete wipe of data through the recovery menu (vol.up+power+home).
That didnt work.
Am I missing some steps in my procedure?
I noticed that my default dialer apk, contacts apk, etc are not working. Which method will also replace all my original APKs?
Thanks once again for your time and attention.

Nothing more to add.

Just wanna thank you for your help. For some reason I wasn't getting the expected behavior by flashing KG6. Went with KG5 and now I'm back on stock.
Cheers. Thanks button went your way btw.
Trying to install themes on the S2 and everytime I keep getting bootloop no matter what theme it is. Tried an ICS and also the Ultratoxic themes
What I am thinking of doing is a wipe data/ factory reset in ClockworkMod mode then load up the Rom via Odin and then flash the theme
Will this work or does the wipe data also delete the back ups created with CWM?
Anything else that maybe causing boot loop?
On UltraToxic Rom and latest Siyah Kernel
The bootloop might be caused if you use a SystemUI.apk/Framework different than the one supported by the ROM.

If the theme is not made for you rom, then you get bootloops.
If the theme is made for you rom and you still get bootloops, wipe the cache and chances are it will boot.

Hello, today I flashed Westcrip's Resurrection Remix 1.9 and after wiping the cache, dalvik cache and permission fix I restarted the phone. It shows the siyah kernel logo, but that's all. After 10 minutes of waiting nothing happens, I still can see that wonderfull logo.
I tried to reflash it, to make a full wipe, but the problem is still there. I flashed back to 1.8.1, which works perfectly, CM9 works as well.
I hope someone got an idea to solve that problem and I'm sorry that I posted it here, but as you can see, I'm new here and can't write into the development threads.

Er... I hope I understand you correctly, you think it is broken? I don't think that the phone is broken, I opened CWM and flashed an older ROM version, which works well. It's only a problem with the new Version of the Ressurection Remix.
And what do you mean with cleaning the slate? That's the Adressbook, sms, etc, right?
Clean Slate or in non English total wipe of the phone for those that balls up the firmware or are having difficulty with a rom ..
Otherwise read the relevant rom thread .
Redownload the rom and flash again .

So, I tried it with a full wipe, but it does not help.
But then I downloaded it again, now it works... I can't believe it, such a simple solution, thank you!
i get an endless bootloop, i flashed a new firmware to try and fix it, but to no avail, any solutions?
do you think its bricked? i mean it powers on, i can access cwm, download mode
i tried this also
. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Go to Advanced
3. Choose "Wipe dalvik-cache"
4. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
5. Choose "Wipe /cache"
6. Reboot your phone
if the problems still exists after doing that and you're sure it's not related to the rom, then you need to do this:
1. Start your phone in CWM Recovery
2. Now go to "Mounts & Storage"
3. Choose "Wipe /data"
4. Choose "Wipe /cache"
5. Reboot your phone
to no avail. lol. i guess i will have to be buying me a new s3
(other roms wont get past boot loop also)

Hello every one.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S III international 16 gig white.
Yesterday I tried to flash FoxHound 1.1 on my device & because this version is full wipe I must flash the I9300XXBLG1.
After ending installing FoxHound 1.1 I face with a lot of FC & I couldn't play any games like Max Payne ,N.O.V.A 3 & etc.
When I play any game I face strange error!
After that problems I tried change ROM & fix my device but when I flashed every ROM & after factory reset with code the language of my device is same Philippians in I9300XXBLG1 & I have that error in Games.
I tried every thing like Full wipe ,Format system, reset Factory with code, flashing with PIT,install CM9(I fix same problem in S II by flashing CM9 or AOSP rROMs but in S III...) & etc.
Now I have this issue & need a solution.
What is your Answer?
SORRY For my poor English.
With 30 posts you should ask in that rom thread re its problems .
Its noticeable that flashing multiple roms to fix a problem cannot work .
