Anyone else having trouble with Gameloft games playing in 3D on ICS? I always get a side-by-side view and it isn't turning on the parallax barrier.

Which ICS ROM are you running? I am not having too many issues using ICSENSE 420. My Spiderman runs in 3D, but Asphalt 6 I cannot get the 3D to run.
I am using MeanROM 5, haven't flashed any different kernels yet. Strangely Ashphalt 6 is the only one that works for me, although there are tons of artifact and mesh glitches all over the screen. Modern Combat 3d, NOVA and Assassins Creed are all a no go. NOVA and MC both straight up force close.
I get the same thing when trying to play modern combat 3. It force closes before getting to the main menu.

same here, test many ICS roms and no luck. Somewhere read the bug was because this games use external files and there is a bug with that in ICS...
Probably game dev have to launch ICS version of that games... who knows

What settings are you using as far as Chainfire 3D goes!?!?!?
hey guys I initiall had issues installing The Amazing Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rise after flashing some roms, such as Team genisis ICs,Mwakious and Virtuos ics. The only way I got hem to work was by booting into the fastboot and reflashing the firmware PG86IMG.zip, that got the two games to work. and for anyone tring this it was hit or miss for me, some times the games work and sometimes they wqouldnt, so I would reflash a different rom and come back and try the PG86img.zip file again and it worked. Currently I am on Team genisis ics and the only issue I am having is 3d gameloft games dont work with one exception the preinstalled spiderman game works fine. I have tried NOVA 3d and it gives me a message saying it cant play video. Also I tried regular NOVA and I can play it for a mimnute and then FC. I thought it was my phone, I wish I would have stayed with Leedroid v5.4. I tried reflashing leeedroid but now no gameloft games work on it. I Should have made a NANDROID BaCkUP Im kicking myself.

There's known issue's with some gameloft games which are not compatible with ics, gameloft should be uograding the games, check there website

I just got my mytouch today. Has anyone gotten any really good games running that kind of show off the phone? I tried getting sims 3 and need for speed running but they did not work.

I really hate that need for speed doesn't work with this awesome device! 3 of my favorite games didn't work. I couldn't get need for speed, backbreaker or sandstorm from gameloft to work.
I'm actually enjoying FIFA 10 now that I can use multitouch

sandstorm works on mine so does assassins creed and nova. i just cant get need for speed to work. i installed the apk but when i go to open the game it just closes out of the game right away. it does that for monopoly as well but i have the full game apk file. but the monopoly demo works fine lol i dont get it.

Sandstorm & Backbreaker do the whole open & close thing to me also. Give me those 3 games back & I'll be set. For the time being, I got Angry Birds to hold me over

thats odd cause my sandstorm works perfect on my mt4g. but some of my games do the open then close thing right away for some reason. i dont know why it does that though
Yeah, Sandstorm works for me too.
Edit: After downloading the data, both Nova and Sandstorm close for me. Only Assassins Creed works for me.

uninstall the games and try this
2 – IF DOWNLOAD SD CARD FILES OVER WIFI YOU CAN PLAY REGULARLY WITHOUT AIRPLANE MODE
1. Airplane mode (no WiFi/3G/2G)
2. Install apk
3. Return to GSM mode but always with the WiFi/3G/2G disabled
4. Start game (has to load data (xx MB))
5. Push home button
6. Turn WiFi on
7. Return to game (long push home button)
8. Start download
this is what i did for sandstorm and nova and they both work fine for me.

Where did you try NFS from? I have working versions of NFS Shift, GH3 World Tour, N.O.V.A., Reckless Racing, etc. Still haven't found Rock Band yet though.

i cant get monopoly to work at all. it just closes out of the game as soon as i open it. but the demo works fine.
Pocket Legends is pretty awesome IMO, for a cell phone game. It's really a mini-WoW. Fully 3D and everything. It's "free" with paid perks like most Facebook stuff, but it's really responsive and has very nice 3D graphics. Shows the true power of these phones now!

yeah ur right i just downloaded it. it was 27mbs but it sends most of it on the sd card when u download it. the graphics are really good on it but i dont play wow ever so i have no clue how to play it lol
Anyone try this yet? We can run tegra and adreno specific games with plugins. I can get it to install the driver but can not seem to get plugins to install. Night mode works fine.

How did you get the market to work. Couldn't install plugins from my sd it was so full it was locking up used an empty one and they installed quickly.

When I first used the Chainfire 3D drivers was with my HTC HD2 with Windows Mobile! I was a miracle to make SenseUI work better... but I never play games. Under Android (since I still never play games, but I also dont have WinMo or SenseUI) is there actually any advantage to use this driver??

I'd like to know how to do the market fix as well. I paid the $4 for the pro app and did the fix. Still can't find the games listed above.
I saw that someone said to download sgs tools and do that market fix. Still can't find those games. Maybe cuz I have a themed market?

I appreciate the work that has gone into chainfire 3d. But please dont buy THD games for use with chainfire. Devs will continue to make tegra only games if they sell well.
I update me device to ics but now 3d games not work i try Dungeon Hunter 2 and nova 2 and i copy data to sdcard in gameloft folder but when i start thr game it show gameloft logo then stop work
on gingerbread it works fine

I've read people having issues with gameloft games and the ICS leak, but I don't now if it was fixed or if it applies still to the ota.

I can play nova or AC for about seconds then all of the sudden it will say "nova has stopped" .. have you experienced this?
Which nova??nova 1??2?3??..if nova 1 then the game isnt really optimized for ics since gameloft already stop supporting/update the game..same goes for assassin creed.

I think there is incompatibility problem with the game because the game wasn't made for our phone (hence small screen)....
But,FYI I can play Nova 1 in my phone perfectly before

ICS is not for gaming
Nova 2 has problems too like assasins creed like shadowgun and like many MANY MANY MANY MANY other games.
I would surely say that most games are incompatible with ICS.
Just go at GB for gaming
I am not the only one who tried the latest Gameloft games like Asphalt 7 or MC3/4. But I have an issue about those and it is not reffered by lag. After 30 seconds-1 minute of gameplay, those games just force close when they are working pretty well. I think I found a solution about this: to use Chainfire 3D with the Qualcomm plug-in but it requies root and I find it pretty difficult right now. Did anybody find a solution? Did my solution work? PLEEEEAAAASEEEE ANSWEEEERR!

Solution that kinda works fr me is....CLEAR all apps from inbuilt stock as well as 3rd party task manager ...n dont multitask while playing them...

I've notice that in some gameloft games the moment when games stop is right after one specific move or moment. For example in Spiderman the game stop always near one building when i jump over it. I tested that few times and after that I've just climb the building and the game don't stop. I don't know why this is happen but this is true...
