Wifi not connecting - HTC Radar

Hey guys,
I have a new HTC Radar 4G that I'm currently testing out. It seems like a great phone, but I have had no luck connecting it to my home wifi. Every time I enter the password, it says incorrect password. But using that same password connects my other devices to wifi without a problem. I've even performed a factory reset on the phone and still no luck. Any ideas out there as to how I can fix that?? Thanks!

[Q] Unable to connect to home wifi?

It was fine until last night...
I woke up this morning to find that my atrix had lost connection with home wifi, provided by ATT.
I tried to go back on, but it failed, as if I had got the password wrong (phone says its gaining IP address, turns wifi on and off, does the same thing again)
I tried rebooting the phone, retyping the password, which were an useless attempt.
Wifi itself seems like its, fine, since my mother's phone(Captivate) is going fine with it.
I can also connect to other wifi networks,
so I cant exactly see where the problem is.
My atrix is running on ATT, 4.5.91, rooted.
Thanks for your help beforehand!

Did you try telling it to forget the connection, then set it up again?
Have you tried rebooting your modem and router?
Many connection issues are solved by a simple reboot of all hardware involved.

Obtaining ip address....never connects

So my WiFi has been working fine on my prime connecting to any network till yesterday. I went to work, connected to the WiFi network, everything working fine. Then I disconnected from the network and tried to reconnect and it wouldnt connect. All I get is it saying obtaining ip address. I went to my girls after work, same issue there, sees the network but all I get it obtaining ip address and it never goes past that. It does connect to my sensation hotspot though. I hard reset it, even factory reset it and still have the issue...any ideas?

Ever try resetting the router?
I would never have reset over it.. not without rebooting routers/modems first and it sounds like you didnt try this. I get this issue now and then - rare - and a router reboot always fixes it. I never have to resort to drastic stuff like phone or tablet resets. The fact it can talk to your phones hotspot - not router related - even more signals to the router as first place to look.

I agree....this will work for when he's at his "girl's", but the bigger problem is the office network. That can't be rebooted at will.
Best suggestion I have is to go into the Adanced mode, and where an option "modify Network"...choose that....sometimes just hitting SAVE works, sometimes I re-enter the WEP key and hit save.
In worst case, you could say "forget network" and try starting from scratch....
Good luck,
Bob
You sure your work doesn't do any sort of MAC filtering? Maybe something adaptive?

Help with wifi on tablet needed

Hi,
I have recently bought a NATPC M009s with ICS on it. I'm completely new to android!
I'm having problems getting it to connect to wifi at home and wondered if anyone can help.
I have a BT home hub 2, the tablet will see the network and allow me to enter the wifi password but it then sits saying 'saved, secured with WPA' and no matter how many times I press connect it won't. Apart from very occasionally it will connect but there is nothing consistent as to why it suddenly decides to connect!! Other laptops and phones connect to the home hub fine
Things I have tried:
Setting a static IP for tablet on the home hub
Rebooting router and tablet
factory reset on tablet
factory reset on home hub
Downgrading to gingerbread (failed as the instructions on how to do it didn't work!)
Tethering tablet via wifi to my iphone (connects no problem)
Searched forums for previous posts with similar problems - no luck!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it connecting reliably?

This is really odd, I suggest you try to very temporarily turn off password protection on the WiFi network, just to see if thats what is throwing it off.
WiFi can be an oddball and doesnt confirm to logic.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it and with security off the tablet connected (after 2 attempts - failed to get IP address on the first one).
I then put security back on, it connected once!! It then dropped the connection and won't connect again.
Arrgh! So frustrating.
So does this suggest that the security is the problem.... I don't know.
Any other thoughts?

Sounds like a defective WiFi hardware. You get a too low signal reception and/or transmission, corrupting most of your frames. Try placing it as close to the router as possible and see if there's any change. Or get the unit replaced.

Replacement phone from Sprint. Can't connect to any WIFI networks...

Yeahhhh so my old phone was having some issues so Sprint got me a new (refurb) LTEVO. Phone looks great, but it doesn't connect to wifi no matter what I do. I've already tried factory resetting, setting to 2.4ghz only, and nothing, wont connect. Tried on my WPA2 network at home, as well as our WPAe at work. Exact same symptoms. The phone will randomly see the networks, so naturally I select it and enter my credentials. Immediately the phone will say the network is out of range. A few minutes later it'll pop-up in range again, I try to connect, same thing.
I thought it may be related to the wifi antenna on the phone but it seems to be okay. I already did a factory reset and no change.
What are the chances I got a dud phone? I want to root and install CM10.1 but I don't even know if it's worth it if I'm going to have WIFI issues and will have to take the phone back anyway.
Anyone run into this?

Just tried, same issue. As soon as I hit connect it doesn't even bother trying to connect. It immediately says "saved" under the network I tried connecting to, and within moments that network disappears. When it reappears it says 'not in range'.
I think this phone is hosed.

No connection after Wireles Projection

Hi,
Every time after I succesfully connected Wireles Projection, finished it, close it, disconnected from wireless display, ... I have no connection at all. I must restart my phone after every Wireles Projection to get online again. And without sign of anything wrong, everything seems to be connected, but if you try to connect to smart home device, Internet, mail client ... No connection at all. And after restart everything is back to normal. It happens at any place, home, work, ... Has anybody same problem?
Thanx
I have not faced anything like this but was facing the issue of continuous toggling between wifi and 4g causing timeouts when trying to access local resources on my home intranet. Initially I tried formatting cache and also factory resetting the phone which helped but not completely. Finally found out that disabling Adguard DNS resolved the issue completely.
