Connected to TV ( via microUSB to HDMI)
Change channels on your wifi router. Keep trying different channels until you find one that works well for you. See this post I wrote some time ago for an explanation why it affects it.
^^ That's really wacko! Thanks for good explanation. It seem that the problem is mainly due to crappy MHL/HDMI shielding and unfortunate cable lengths...
Or possibly also because the MHL uses all 5 mUSB lines and thus perhaps one of these paths are crossing to close to the WiFi paths within your phone. This is not very surprising since:
1) the MHL chip is just on the other side of the DSP RF transceiver chip.
2) The MHL path have to travel across the entire PCB all the way down to the bottom connector and passing the Broadcom WiFi Bluetooth chip on the way there!

OK know my X10 got ran over a few months ago and I brought a new case, lcd screen and digitizer for it and replaced the parts myself and the phone works fine apart from no wifi and bluetooth.
If anybody has any pictures pointing out where the wifi+bluetooth aerial or hardware is located I can take it back apart and look for damage to this part.
Before you ask, it was on 1.6 when repaired last week, wifi would come on but failed to connect to any router. After I flashed a generic X10i rom to the phone the wifi would not come on and I have tried a few wifi scanning apps from the market and they all say no connection. I only noticed the bluetooth not working yesterday when I tried to run blueputdroid.
So any images that you guys have would be great
Here is a picture of the phone in bits, on the main board at the bottom right is where the main aerial connects to the aerial in the back case, this cant be the fault as the phone has a great signal so if this was damaged surely the phone would have no signal what so ever???

I'm really hoping this is an issue with my router but .. is anybody else having trouble staying connected to wifi? It connects and shows excellent signal strength, then it will disconnect for about 10 seconds before reconnecting. I haven't been able to test it with any other wifi sources, so I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar experience?
Yes happens to me as well. When it's connected it works well but then it will randomly disconnect then reconnect right after. Kinda annoying.
I read in another thread that this may have something to do with the antenna placement and the way I'm holding the phone
If that's the case then I must say that's pretty disappointing..

If holding the phone in landscape mode to watch youtube is doing it wrong, why have front facing stereo speakers? I really hope this isn't serious and that I either have a defective unit or my router is having issues.
I recently replaced by usb flex cable because the usb port wasn't charging the phone properly anymore (2nd time I might add).I noticed that my reception was incredibly poor after this so I tried to put the old one back in, but now the reception isn't any better in a lot of placed, though I think its back to LTE speeds for data when its available whereas before it wasn't but it many places I get no reception at all or very poor reception.
I may have damaged a little cable/plugin on the flex port, but i'm not sure what it is. Can anyone identify this? (picture)

It won't let me post links so I hope this works

maybe that part powers the antenna?
I think you might have accidently unplugged something somewhere else on the phone when you replaced the board. Or you ruined the actual lil wire that attaches to the receptacle in the pic you posted. If you swap boards shown in the pic and it doesn't fix problem it's something else.
Hey everyone,
Been searching around for a decent Android head unit and stumbled upon these:

I'm interested in a single DIN unit so that the screen can be hidden away when I don't need it. Primary function would be to interface with my Megasquirt ECU and display necessary gauges for me via MSDroid or Shadow Dash.
Those above examples have dual core 1GHz A10 CPUs with 1GB RAM, running Android 4.0. Not too bad.
Does anyone have experience with these particular models? Or any other recommendations.
Something discrete or able to be easily tucked away is important, I have a very minimalist interior and would like to keep it that way.
Trying to find out if it has USB OTG or USB Host, planning to use a USB to Serial RS232 converter. I contacted TradeSolution and they said the head units don't support USB OTG or Host.
I know the units above use WiFi/3G USB dongles, and you can plug a USB hard drive to it. Doesn't that mean it does have OTG/Host functions?
Okay so I know with Bluetooth and can be a LARGE variety of issues going on with connection. But I do not believe it is <Connection> problems that I'm talking about/having issues with.
Anyways, I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth 3.0 dongle in the back of my computer.
When I go to pair my phone to the computer, it works perfectly. (See screenshot below...)

So as you can see, it is paired, and in Device Manager it shows, along with the adapter, and my S160 headset (Which is disconnected.)
Now my problem being is when I go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel, I see my phone (SCH-i650) But all I see are these options when right clicked...
Now I know my adapter supports Music Streaming, AND headset support etc. etc. because it worked back in Windows 7... Is there any way of getting this support back??? And/Or does anyone know perhaps as to why I am not getting the options for listening to phones audio etc...?
And would anyone be willing to help me figure this out/trouble shoot it? I have no idea where to start.
I would also like to know if it's due to my phone or not.
This is kind of like the options that I would like to see:
On another note, I just tried using the "Send file/Receive file" options, which work perfectly fine... So where is the listen to audio and make phone call options?
