[Q] application has stopped please help!!! - HTC Amaze 4G

i used the ciq logging tool to remove the tmobile logger and now this pops up like every few seconds " unfortunately system manager application has stopped " it is really pissing me off. I tried doing a restore and my card is corrupted now.. i have terrible luck. so if i could get a little help it would be appreciated. I'm on ics official leak s-on and rooted.

i feel stupid lmao!!! i couldn't get the ics to re install then i realized duh!!! lol you have to relock the bootloader first ... :'( i'm ashamed.. thread closed lol might as well delete it.

Does hard resetting get rid of your root?

I need to know before I go to Sprint tomorrow... Thanks
(Oh, and I have a Hero)
Hard Resetting on a Official ROM, don't know if it would work.
But you could try to install some apps that needs root to work, to test if you either have it or not.
If you want to be on the safe side, download a RUU updater that installs your phone all over again.
Then it becomes like the day you bought it.
I don't think it will. If you flash an official RUU from your carrier that will get rid of it. (look on the Sprint site)
I tried that.. with this one..
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=103776
but it would not work.. had the same problem other people had (through the comments).. but no fix was ever suggested, so I just hard reset it..
PROBLEM: "hey got a questions for anyone that could help me out. i cant get the RUU to see my Hero...? it just gives this error: "ERROR[170]: USB CONNECTION ERROR" but its conneted. and ive tried it both just plugging it in and by mounting it. but both dont work. any help would be greatly appreciated."
Does anyone know a different link to one or how to get this one to work?
http://support.sprint.com/support/a...n_your_HTC_Hero/case-gb746811-20091009-155624
Will this one work, then?
The 170 error is when the RUU updater can't get a connection to the Phone.
Have you installed HTC Sync? Or some other drivers for the Hero?
I had the same problem with the Sprint RUU download... kept telling me it wasn't connected.
Then I was messing with it and I manually pressed sync on the phone and then tried to install the RUU and it worked perfect.
So, I guess it was just that I needed to manually press sync.
Anyway, I did it.. it's on my phone... so does that mean the root is off?
If the RUU installation went fine, and finished.
Then you don't got root on your hero anymore.
lol ok.. just making sure!
Thanks for the help
No problem.

[Q] Atrix Boot Loop

OK I know there are a ton of boot loop threads, but I can't find anything close to my problem after hours of searching, so here it goes:
My Atrix:
-2.3.6 Stock with 4.5.141
-Rooted
-(Side notes - because I'm not sure if they will be helpful:
--It had an unlocked bootloader before 2.3.6, but after the update it was locked again, I believe, as it doesn't say Unlocked in the top left corner when booting up. It's worked fine for months since the update.
--The internal SD was almost full - it only has about 30MB free, and it kept telling me it was pretty much full.)
A few days ago my Atrix just shut down while I was playing "Where's My Water?". Titanium Backup was updating itself automatically while I was playing, and when it finished was when the problem happened. A message popped up while I was playing that said "The process com.motorola.service.main has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again --> 'Force Close' or 'Cancel'". I pressed Force Close, and the phone shut down and started boot looping.
After searching I found that com.motorola.service.main may have something to do with e-mail, but I only use Gmail and I only have 1 account.
It won't boot into safe mode, and I don't have any recovery on it that I can remember, or it won't boot into that.
The thing is that I haven't done any modding in months - since rooting after the update, so it seems extremely random.
I don't care if I lose any data, as anything I need is backed up or useless.
I just want the thing working again or having NottachTrix on it. Really I just want it to work again.
If there is any more info I can provide, I will try my best to do so. Any help is greatly appreciated!

OK if you don't care about losing data, you can wipe the phone and factory reset it like this:
1.Turn off the phone and boot into recovery
2. If you didn't have a recovery or thought you didn't, like me, when you see the triangle, exclamation point, and android dude press (and possibly hold) both volume buttons at once. (I got this tip from a Motorola guy when I called thank goodness because I thought there was no recovery...)
3. Find the option for factory reset, and them it'll delete everything.
**Do this for me first though - when you get to recovery try wiping the cache and dalvik cache and see if that doesn't fix it. Otherwise do the full reset because that worked for me. Good luck and if you have any questions hopefully I can help!
And then I put a romracer's recovery and NottachTrix 4G on, and I love it!

[Q] Please help, I think I bricked it rooting

was using zedomax's root method and got a bunch of errors "too many devices, more than 1 emulator" and now it won't finish booting. Gets just to the point where the unlock ring should come up and then nothing...
I can pull down the status bar and thats about it ...please help. I have the insurance, but will they be able to see that i started rooting it...
I would try to install the RUU to get it back.
It's probably not Bricked.
You can also check out the more full unlocking procedure http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690919
I believe one or both these procedures could be started while in the bootloader.
I'd try the RUU first though.
Look in the Sticky thread in Dev for the RUU (an EXE you run on the PC).

This happened to me as well. Then i realized i have both my old Epic4g AND my new EVOLTE plugged into my computer. I unplugged my epic and voila. it worked just fine. If it still doesnt work, try restarting your PC and redo the process.
Thanks guys for your answers. problem is resolved, but I will what happened in case anyone else has this problem.
I couldn't get the drivers to install on my laptop so I went to the desktop and ran the root. The error messages I got were like this: after the second reboot (supposed to reboot 3 times) it would say "device offline" and it filled the whole screen with that line. Then it said "error too many emulators" and then it would say it was done and that is as far as it would go. It did not boot a third time. I could reboot it, but it would only get as far as the screen JUST before the unlok ring comes up, and that's it.
After posting this thread I read another thread where someone suggested holding the volume down and power to bring up stock recovery and doing a factory reset from there (rookie mistake, I have had the Epic Touch for a while and forgot about the Evo's stock recovery). That got me back. THANK GOD! But still no root.
I didn't want to give up trying to I went back to my laptop and still without necessarily "installing" the drivers, went ahead and tried running the root and VIOLA! It worked flawlessly!
So I don't understand what was going on with the desktop though with the "device offline" and "too many emulators" thing, so if anyone could shed some light on that, I would appreciate it.
glad to hear you got it fixed but if you would have had to filed a claim then you can always say you lost it or something like that.

[Q] Galaxy note 3 Please help

my issue is very simple, I bought a galaxy note 3 today and I didn't like all the pages of useless hubs, I downloaded a program called titanium backup, it required routing but i felt voiding the warangy was worth freeing up my phone and making it more usefull... Anyway.. I opend titanium backup and I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the list and deleted the first 5 useless sounding applications, I can't remember what they are called but if I had a screenshot of the list I could pick out exactly wich ones I deleted, my phone got glitchy and I was stuck inside apps, I couldn't exit to the main screen, I turned off my phone.
When i turned it back on i got this message "unfortunatly the process com.android.setupwizard has stopped working"
I turned off the phone again. Rebooted the phone. I got the message again "unfortunatly the process com.android.setupwizard has stopped working", I was able to get into the settings and do a soft reset, after the reset my phone is stuck on the Samsung logo and will not start up, can somone please help me out here

If you've created a nandroid backup, restore it now. Otherwise you will have to flash another ROM in the recovery mode.

Samsung s3 lte i9305n not starting, need to recover photos etc.

Hi all,
I was hoping to be able to ge some advice on what to do or how to try to recover the files that i have in my phone.
My phone stopped working without any apparent reason and i have a lot of things that i didnt backed up.
When i try to start my phone , i´m new at this so please bear with me, what shows it's the " Samnsung GALAXY SIII GT-19305N " screen, as it would if it was going to start normally, but it does not go further than that.
The only button combination that i have gotten to work is home+power+volume down. That takes me to a screen that says that installing a custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and in applications, etc etc.
I have never had another ROM or OS installed in it.
I did however have it rooted by an application called kingroot if i dont remember wrong, to be able to install a game-assisting app.
Thank you for taking your time to read this , hope someone can help me out.
Hi,
I will move your thread to your devices Q&A section here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help
You will need to register on XDA to respond to anyone who replies.
Good luck!
Flash a stock rom via odin and it should revive the phone. Make sure it's the same version as what you had before it bootlooped and it wont erase anything.
