[Q] Webtop problem - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hey guys, I've just bought a RAZR, and well it's just wonderful, I saw a little block, that had an HDMI input and a AC input, I connected it and it gave me the option of Webtop, it was awesome! Except that I couldn't get it to reproduce general audio on my TV. How can I fix this problem? It's brand new...

When you click on the audio button at the top right corner of your webtop, it should have a drop down for you to adjust volume. Below that are some icons that you can try to click.. these changes your audio output.

Re:Nikorasu
I already tried that, i just doesn't work, I click the laptop icon thingy that appears and the phone icon thingy, and they just reproduce in my cel...

can't you just use the headphone jack as audio out?

Trying to avoid that
I'm trying to avoid that, because of my lack of audio jacks... I heard that this problem could be resolved by updating the webtop version of my Motorola RAZR... I got the WT-2.0.0-82_ES1... Anyway I can update that or any solution you can think of?

[Q] Getting rid of annoying static buzzing sound when connecting vibrant to tv

Hello everyone-
I'm not sure how many of you have experienced this problem before, but whenever I use the TV-out feature on my vib to connect it to my standard-def tv via the 3.5 mm jack to av cable, I get a strange annoying electronic buzzing sound from my television. I've made sure the cable is plugged in all the way on both ends, and that the region is set to NTSC, but it just won't go away. It seems to stay no matter what rom I use, so I think it may be either a hardware problem with my phone or with the cable itself. Any help would be appreciated? Thanks.

Have you tried a kernel with voodoo sound, and adjusted the settings with supercurio's app?
Have you tried another cable?

I haven't tried another cable, but I a running bionix-v 1.3.1 with the sound app, but I'm not sure what the optimal settings are for TV-out specifically, or what specific options I should adjust within the app? Thanks.
Can anyone else offer me any advice? I'm eager to solve this issue, thanks.
have you tried on a different TV?
Yep, I still get the same problem, and I've never had this problem when I connect any other device to my TV.
Try a different cable. With the first cable I used I didn't get any video signal and loud static. With the second one it was absolutely perfect.
might be think stupidly but are u using edge by chance?

I don't see what edge would have to do with a the tv-out function on my vib. But no, I'm using wifi, and I have all data functions turned off (i.e. I don't have a data plan anyway.

i feel stupid as well, ls hdmi is also in wet dream and i have no idea how to use it, any help here guys?
There's no switch for turning it on and off.
Literally plug it in to your TV via HDMI, switch to that input on the TV and it should display your phone. Mine sometimes goes odd if I start mirroring in Landscape, but turning it to portrait and back again fixes this.
If you want sound over HDMI there are two little scripts in the same place as the supercharger script one for toggling sound over HDMI and one for toggling sound from your phone. They need to be run as root using script manager.
Just a quick note (on Wet Dream, anyway): even after plugging in the HDMI cable, nothing activates on my phone until the TV input is switched over. That's when the Picker launches.
At my side on Neutrino,
I have play with the sound output switch and now it works... Can't explain.
Now I'd like to know how to incerase the HDMI output resolution, it's so pixelized...
Any idea ?
Works great on Neutrino Rom 2.2 with faux kernel.
The only issue is that the sound have to set manually on and off.
And some games (Reckless Racing 2) doesn't run on the Atrix with high fps and that is a little bit disappointing because I can't enjoy games in slow motion.
But everything else works fine!
Motorola Atrix 4G AT&T unlocked
ya the output for me is a little to large as well and a little grainy. i wish there was the overscan fix, but i was told in the neutrino forum that hdmi mirror (ls or not) is not native to cm7 so it's a work in progress
Good news:

No sound on multimedia dock with CM9

I have been running AOKP for some time now, and everything has been working great, except for the occasional freezes. I have now installed the latest nightly CM9 build, but I don't get any sound through my multimedia dock. It plays through the built in speakers. Anyone have the same issue, or maybe a solution?
I have the same problem. The sound comes out from the built-in speaker.
same issue... was running SGT7 AOKP P1 build 40. Now running CM9 nightly build 20120713... sound only comes out of built in speakers no matter what i do.
I've tried enabling HDMI dock (which both OS's seem to recognize physically docked/undocked).
Tried enabling USB Audio setting (with both OS's seem to IGNORE physically docked/undocked).
I came from Overcome where everything worked perfectly. The frustration is that I'm using a MM dock. Sound neither comes through the HDMI interface, nor the 3.5mm. This setup is mounted in my dash so now I have to make the decision of ICS/no sound in my car or Gingerbread...

select pass through usb audio in dock settings, then dock it. if its already docked, force a undock, take tab out, select audio passthrough, then dock it.

I have this issue on the 7in tab still despite running CM9 official. Any one know if there is any more progress, as the above suggestions don't work for me? The tab doesn't recognise the dock being plugged in even though it recognises USB to the computer etc.
Here's hoping...

XMP: Strange hardware problem with JACK

Hi there,
I've got really strange problem with my XPERIA MINI PRO - when I plug in the headphones, the phone wouldn't recognize them.
Only if I've had them plugged before BOOT of my phone.
So, when Iam turning on / rebooting my phone with plugged phones, they're working and recognized, but when I disconnect them, same problem -> phone ignores it.
So, my xperia mini pro can't recognize the action of plugging in phones in general. Have tried official kernel, custom kernel, few roms and its deffinitely a hardware problem.
Does anyone knows how does this phone recognize that? And what might be my problem?
Thanx for any ideas.

i have a similar problem on mine, but mine thinks it has headphones plugged it all the time! i downloaded an app called "headset toggle" it gives you a widget on your home screen to show if headphones are connected or not, and clicking on the icon forces a connect or disconnect of them regardless of wether they are connected or not, should fix your problem:
http://code.google.com/p/toggleheadset/
edit: just to add i have 4.0.4 and it works perfect on my phone
Headset not recognising
i am facing the similar problem...... my headset is also not detecting when i plug in, detecting only when i reset my phone and when i unplug again it's not detecting. i face this problem since i update my mobile to latest version (ICS 4.0.4)

Hello,
I had the exact same problem. It was a hardware problem. The only way is to take it in for service as I did. was repaired at electronics level.
Is it possible to solve this problem with headphones? Any app? Toggleheadset does not work for me. Thanks

did you use a SE headphone or a normal headphone?
i got similar problem. If jack isnt plugged in, there are some electronical noises in microphone, so i cant use, if i remove jack, the phone doesnt recognize. i ToggleHeadset, now microphone works good, and recognized that i removed the jack
what hardware causes this problem? i ask it because i bring my mini pro friday to the service, and maybe i'll ask about it there for repair.

This is a halfway software solution to make the phone work, for a complete repair i believe taking the phone to service is necessary.
I have a hardware problem where xperia mini pro (Stock Rom ICS 4.0.4) is constantly detecting headphones connecting and disconnecting. This stops all the multimedia with sound, so it was impossible to start a music file or video because it was automaticly paused).
Disabling the Live ware app (connect now app) did not help,
This may not work for people who can not make phone play music or videos after headphones are inserted,
I managed to solve problem with software and by inserting headphones in the jack once every boot.
You need 2 apps; soundabout and toggleheadset2 (widget),
soundabout does not need to be registered), you will just need to set soundabout service to run on every boot, and set the 'media audio' output to speaker by default.
Every time phone is booted or rebooted insert the headphones, then play a song, remove the headphones and toggle headset to off, every time you wish to use the headphones you will need to toggle the headset widget to on manually,
i recommend to have phone calls and messages also set to vibrate in case you forget to toggle after unplugging the headphones.
I have not yet managed to get working the headset microphone,
If the headphones work in iPhone they wont work in Xperia mini pro or arcs or 2011 device , u need JVC gummy plus , they come with adaptor to sort the problem
Sent from my SK17i using xda app-developers app
There is 2 headphone and Mic standards omtp and cita and only one headphone standard, older Xperia used a differnt standard to what they use today , everyone jumped on the iPhone standard

[Q] No audio after turning off Bluetooth

After i get out of my car where my bluetooth was connected, i'll turn BT off. However, sometimes the system still trys to push audio through BT, not the speakers of the phone. I know i can get around this by going to my Youtube App, and there's a litle icon at the top that looks like a tv with a wifi signal. i can touch that, and it will ask if i want BT or local (i forget what it really said). i press the local and get it back.
is there an easier way to do this? I have the ME7 build, rooted via the method provided here. I have a Hyundai Sontata, 2011.
Thanks

I got around it with soundabout from the market. Lets you control various outputs during different media modes.
