Hi is there any way to move apps completly to sd with ka15 rom?
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium
I'll bet Titanium Backup - http://matrixrewriter.com/android/ will help you
Use app2sd mate
app2sd doesnt completely move to SD (not sure if even link2sd does)
Easiest way would be to use adb...i guess with pm setInstall location 2 command

link2sd is very useful
Link2SD Tutorial
Yeah, check out this fantastic tutorial:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/12/12/link2sd-guide-never-worry-about-internal-memory-limits-again/
App2Sd, Link2Sd, and even Titanium Back-up can do the job...whichever you prefer..
Link2SD works really good to me, only limitation is applications that creates a huge application cache data, application cache is not moved but it can be moved and linked manually.

Hi
I tried searching for simple answers on the forums my queries, no luck. guess i need to improve my search skills
I have rooted my LG Optimus One p500 running stock 2.2.2 V10E.
I don't want any apps residing in the internal memory.
When i move apps to SD card using app2sd some data of the app is still left in the internal memory. Why is this so ?
Will titanium backup move it completely ?
Also what app should i use to remove stock bloatware apps ? will titanium backup do ?
How do i clear dalvik's cache using a free app or using busybox ? Is it safe to do so in the first place.
Any apps that do a good job of clearing internal memory ?
I think you can't move the entire app to SD, even with darktremor's a2sd, the app still having some "parts" on the SD...
You can clear Dalvik Cache with Titanium Backup as well you can remove bloatware and backup yous apps and settings.
Probably you want this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042828

Thank you, will read through the forum post, long and a little complex for me..
will try to make it work though wish there was a rooted app which did this
.. just out of curiosity, how many apps do you have installed on your phone ?

About 0.5GB of them... Though, not using Data2SD, using Link2SD application from Market instead.

He can also use link2sd. The apps lists all system apps and offers a deinstall routine.
Btw I never have seen a rom that uses almost every system storage. Did you put some apps manually to system folder or converted them to system apps?

Root ur phone & uninstall blotwares, use link 2 sd to move apps to memory card...
If your phone is rooted, you can make use of below apps to get more internal memory
Root uninstaller : uninstall all the unwanted apps
DroidSail Super - You can move most of the apps to SD card
after root the MUST app is Titanium Backup, you can do EVERYTHING with that including moving apps from phone memory to sdcard

Why is titanium backup a must have app?
For moving apps from phone to SD memory there are far better apps than tb. For example the mentioned link2sd.
Tb is good for backing up apps.

Yes, but as the above post says link2sd is better at "moving" apps to the SD card than TB, thats because actually movinh the app often breaks the widget element of the app so you can no longer have widgets, whilst link2sd moves "most" of the app to the sd card but still allows widgets to be used.
I'm new in android and I have 100 mb left in ky internal memory so can anyone tell me how to install apps to sd without partitions as they destroy sd (I'm an it student) or at least move them (all apps in my internal cannot be moved using application manager)

If u have rooted your fone, try installing link2sd.
Then u can move all ur apps
Don't forget to hit thanks
Root your phone. Install titanium backup. Move any app to sd

With Link2SD i moved a lot of applicaton to the system partition, but i had problems with shazam and opera classic. They doesn't work and if i try to re-pass them to the user partition, Link2SD give me the error: write: No space left on device. (but i've a lot of space!!). This happens also with the others applications.
How can i solve? I've wiped cache by recovery but the problem remains.. any suggestions?
EDIT: it's the dalvik cache.. I've two directory /cache/dalvik-cache and /data/dalvik-cache. If i clean the first the space problem disappear and i can do anything perfectly.. but when i reboot, the dalvik is recreated and the space is full again (cache).
This is the question: the apps i've moved to the rom memory (system memory) create a too large dalvik-cache (i think). I would like to move the dalvik-cache of this applications to the user memory (not to the sd card). Integrate /cache/dalvik-cache in /data/dalvik-cache. Is possible?
How can i do?

Hmmm...dalvik-cache from system apps can't be move into ext partition using link2sd...link2sd keep it at cache/dalvik-cache so your phone can boot faster and can open system apps quicker...
but if you want to really move those dalvik-cache you have to use other apps than link2sd... This Apps can do the job but remember you need to restore all files that have been link using link2sd first...both app can't work together so you need to uninstalled link2sd before you can use it....also remember this app might not work on certain phone and rom...make Nandriod backup before you attempt to try this apps...

Hmmmm...so far as i tested, there no problem with it....there a big different between Mounts2SD and Link2SD...Link2SD only link the apps/lib/dalvik-cache on install apps but not on system apps while Mounts2SD is moving apps/data/lib/dalvik-cache and even system cache to your ext partitions...the setup also quite easy using Mounts2SD but the big disadvantage about Mounts2SD is you can't uninstall apps using it...you have to use default way in settings/apps to uninstalled it or use and app uninstaller...the big advantage about Mounts2SD is you will have more free space (around 95%) in internal memory cause after moving all apps/data/lib/dalvik-cache....

After those problems i restored a nandroid backup and only integrated the updates of six apps in the rom with Titanium Backup, this is a problem for Mount2SD now? (you said i must to restore link done with Link2SD etc. before).
Can you explain me the steps i must do? I want to move some applications to the system memory (with Mount2SD you said) and leave their dalvik-cache to /data/dalvik-cache (not necessarily that of all the default system apps)

yes i have experience using this app...those 6 app that use have mention before, are there system app update? if the are system app update then you can push it into system without any problem either using titanium backup or manually push it using file explorer with root excess...just make sure in Mounts2SD you tick don't move system app 2 ext...just let it be but tick...
1.move app to ext
2.move data to ext
3.move dalvik-cache to ext

I do not remember if they were system apps, can i control it somehow?
However i'm talking of moving apps in system/rom memory, this is ext memory? i'm not talking of sd card.
I read you had a bootloop with this app, any suggestions for not having the same problem?
Thx for your help

Hmmm...i'm not quite understand your first and second question but if you are planning to move system app to ext memory that yes you can do it using Mounts2SD but i don't recommeded it cause you might get bootloop afterward...
yes i do have bootloop with this app but it's on early version...latest version fix that problem but i haven't tested it on Mini Pro using PAC rom but i'm using latest version on Miro using Slimbean rom...

Hmmm...once you move them into system apps, there no way to control it using Mounts2SD or Link2SD...the only thing that can control it is Titanium backup or any other system installer if somehow the app your move didn't work proper in system...not all apps can be push into system and work normally...

Tips from me. After installing apps, quickly link to sd. Why? That because when your internal memory smaller than your application data you cannot link your app.

Try move to sd app. you need root permission for that.. It wil work :good:
Link2SD needs ext2/3 partition to work...I think :/
Sent from my MsM7xxx usin BCM21553...
No it doesn't. It only requires an ext partition when you 'link' apps, as what yusrilramadhan has suggested. Moving apps to the SD card does not require an ext partition, rather the app is moved to .android_secure as a .asec file. The app data is left in /data.
You can access these .asec files in /mnt/secure/asec, provided you have root.
Link2SD can both link and move apps to the SD Card, while a host of other root apps can do the same, such as Titanium Backup.
If I remember correctly, GingerKat is a CM7.2 ROM, which means that you can move apps to SD through settings (provided you change some CM settings) but this is generally not recommended.
while formatting sdCard in Mini Partition Tool, did you make both partitions as active?
if not, it wont work
