I'm using CM9 and strange thing happened to me. I touched the status bar widget wi-fi icon but it did't turn on. When i go to settings the ON/OFF switch is in OFF position and shaded. When i open the Wi-Fi menu it says: "Turning Wi-Fi on..".
I tried restarting the phone, turning it off and even plugging out battery but no change.
Is there a way to fix it?
Are u using hephappy's latest release (m1)?

I'd recommend you reflash the rom and see if the problem arises again. If yes post in discussion thread of your rom... someone may solve it

Dumb question...how long have you been on miui?...I ask because every time I flash a new rom, I forget to re-setup my wireless network...not sure if its even your home network you're talking about? also i'm on cm7 but I would try toggle wifi on/off, airplane mode on/off, reboot or at worst case...wipe and re-flash ..I've run all the glitch kernels so far and haven't had a wifi issue that wasn't fixed with one of the things I listed above. You could also try the glitch v.12 that's out now and see if that helps??

Try a different kernel. It could be your iptable got borked somehow.

If you liked the way your phone is on glitch v11 kernel...minus the wifi problem, try the new glitch v.12...its in the same post that v.11 was in, they just updated the OP with Link to the new version...its worth a shot

I had the same issue; running glitch v12 wint miui 1.8.26
i reflashed both 1.8.26 and glitch. Now wifi works. of course, it still has that issue when you first boot your phone you have to restart wifi for it to work. But that's a known issue.

Yep; when in doubt just reflash the kernel lol. I switched between glitch HL, ML, and LL so many times trying to figure out which works the best...and when I finally found one...wifi didn't work. reflashed it and Boom goes the dynamite.
My wifi on Cyanogenmod 7 By grif_07 doesn't work all time. Sometime is does. Its not my router becous on coderom and stock the wifi just works perfect. Is there anybody who could help me?

How can i fix's that? I like cyanogenmod much but i need wifi because i only have 100mb each mond of mobile data
You should try flashing different basebands. Search for modem collection on the developer subforum.
Try changing your regulatory channels in wifi settings> advanced.
I flashed another baseband but it dind't work

Off topic so I appologise. But dude what's the kindle like? Thinking of getting one? Back on topic, I find if you turn sleep policy to never then it solves most issues. Also some routers I've heard cause issues.

Yeah, I've had those wifi problems too. But the wifi works after a while. How? I don't know. And I have no idea whats causing the problem either.
this is a general problem with CM7. If you press the wifi icon sometimes it won't get an ip but if you long press it again it takes you to wifi settings menu and for some weird reason it gets conected. This does not happen all the time but bottom line is that wifi is working.
Sometimes the above method doesn't work, you hane to disconnect and connect again. Flashing different basebands will not do the job as I tried this before. It's just a small issue.

You need to reflash. Fixing will set to standard, cm7 isnt standard.

For problem 2, you can try clearing data of your camera app in manage application.
For problem 4, you need to go to spare parts and select end button behavior to sleep.

Hi, after I updated my phone to resurrection remix 3.0.6, sometimes suddenly network goes off and when I hit the power button it says flight mode on, but the flight mode symbol is not thr in status bar. I tried installing GetRIL and matched the baseband as well. Still the same issue. Can anyone help on this.

I think it's normal, on stock rom, I also experienced that in a stock rom just today. Don't worry since RIL crash is a common thing in JB/ICS.

Wifi randomly turn itself on even location based wifi is disable.
I don't know exactly when or how this problem has occurred. And doesn't matter on ics/jb.
Any ideas?

use custom rom?
in many of custom rom has a option that turn on Wifi in location found the saved Wifi.
check this first.
Yes I use ultimate hd
And I dont have wifi connection in my home,but it does turn it on too. Maybe it's not a big problem here but it drained battery
And I was deleted location based wifi apk in \system\app
