Woo! Subscribed. I will test this one tonight. Had issues with my phone that needed troubleshooting first.
Edit- It seems to be working normally. Power button, rotation, wifi, etc all working. It looks like many of the cherries this time are phone related.
Keep it up!

I have a feeling that most cherries, most of the time will be phone related. It's worth pointing out, though, that unless I figure out some reason not to, I will run the same cherry pick for every device I build. So far, there haven't been just a ton of obviously tab related cherries. I'm still trying to get used to scouting for both types of devices. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how to use my tf300!
If you guys see something in gerrit that looks applicable, speak up. Just be aware of whether or not a given commit has already been merged.

Ha ha ha, my sentiment exactly! We need more ROMs/devs in this here forum for the TF201 - nice work sir!
Settings for trebuchet should return in the next builds. Somebody got fancy with a commit that is already merged.

Anyone else experienced CM9 loading screen for more than 10+ minutes ( and still counting ) after flashing nighties ? ( from today and yesterday ).
I don't really want to wipe data and play for whole day with installations. Any solutions / suggestions?

Couple of ideas-
Did you try reflashing the current nightly? Sometimes trying again will work.
Did you make a nandroid backup? Then you can just restore and check the md5 of the file you flashed.
Did you backup your apps with Titanium Backup or the like? Then it will take 10 minutes tops to restore apps.

FTR....when WAS your last wipe? What ROM did you come from? The fact the you posted a bug-related question implies that we can count on your having wiped cache & dalvik + fixed permissions already....right???
Sometimes dl'ing the build a 2nd time and re-flashing is a good idea, but you stated that this has happened more than once, already, so dunno. Sometimes merely wiping /system is a good plan. Serves as a mini-wipe, but you will also need to re-flash gapps, too.
good luck
use myback root or TB... wiping is no longer but safer way to go...rem format system too! TF201 is a sensitive bastard! i soft brinked once already!

Man, you ain't kidding!! I don't even own it, and I can already tell that you speak the #TRUTH!
- Last wipe: 3 days ago, since then - a lot of data transferred, software configured.
- Yes, after installation I've wiped dalvik + fixed permissions ( as usual )
- Yes, i have tried with two different nighties, downloaded at least twice using two separate internet conn ( work & home )
- Yes I have created nandroid, that's why I'm not pissed but just asking "is everything ok"
- Yes I have titanium backup but still - don't have time to play more than flash&work.
// EDIT: It worked fine only with full wipe :S Quite crappy solution :\
Hey guys...is the navigation bar option showing up in settings> system??

Oh well - flashed + google apps, wiped all user data, cache, dalvik cache, booting - fine
biggest problem - _no_wifi_ :S

Gtalk keeps FC'ing on me. Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue at the moment who's using Gingeritis3D Beta8. I've tried wiping, formatting /system, reflashing different ROMs, fixing permissions, different radios... I'm pretty much outta options I can think of. Anyone know what the fix to this might be?
So, ROM and ROM Base doesnt seem to matter. Lets get a roll call for common denominators.
Radio: LTE: 0.01.78.0802 & CDMA: 1.48.00.0817
CWM: 5.0.0.1

From what I'm reading, gingerbread is the only common denominator. Some are talking like it might be CWM, but I don't see how it could be since I hadn't touched it in a week or two until I had the problem tonight.

Is anyone having issues creating a backup straight from CWM? Each time I have tried since I updated to v5.0.0.8 it'll take me to recovery then tell me error processing ROM Manager Script.
Hopefully I'm not just doing something stupid...
I have gtalk working on my phone after a restore of my tibu backup from last night, but cam is still a nogo.

Update RomManager from market. You'll have to manually look it up and tell it to update.
Or you can just manually back up in recovery instead of telling RM to do it. But yea, if you want RM to do it you have to update it.

I think I may have found something about this "bug" with the talk and camera application. I wiped and did everything everyone else is trying in here, so then I thought to try and change the date. I thought since this happened all at once, maybe these apps are test builds and set to expire or something. So I unchecked automatic update for time, and manually turned the date back a month. I opened up talk first and no problems. My camera works now too! I have noticed a draw back, after resetting the phone after changing back to automatic time, the problem happens again and you have to repeat the date reset. Looks like we might need a mod of some sort.

It existed in CM9 too
As for the next build, expect one sometime in the next 7 hours
That's because Offline Charging is disabled.

Google Now
Anyone noticed that Google Now doesn't seem to work? It doesn't FC anymore but it won't let you scroll through the different cards...
EDIT: Oh, and also... Link2SD is still un-usable. After installing it, downloading apps from Play Store makes the process "system" crash and there's nothing you can do from that point, you have to reboot your phone.

What Google Apps package are you using?
Link2SD works fine for me
I'm using latest "light" gapps. The problem with Google Now is not only with the cards but when I search something I can't scroll through the results, only the top part of the screen "moves" when scrolling.
Link2SD does work but I'm not sure why but it makes it a pain to install new apps. Having to reboot phone each time because system process crashed. And must be done each time you install a single app... :silly:

Still the p500 with ROM build1 can't be detected as USB modem (I meant no USB tethering) by Slackware machine. Could you please to fix it? I encountered that bug (?) in all ROM (ICS and JB) I ever have flashed it, but GB (OpenOptimus ROM build 2.202.1)!.
Anyway, your ROM even it's the first built is one of the great JB ROM for obsolete phone hardware. It's almost stable imho. If you can fix mentioned above problem and the camera, it'll be perfect for my daily use!

To make Google Now work, you have to use the version for ARMv6 from this link(from 'Instructions for ARMv6 devices')>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816622 !!! To get the voice work (it will listen to you, but will repeat what you said, but at least you don't have to write what you are looking for) use the workaround: The Voice Search for Google Now app. More details in the link!!! And yes, this method should work on Jelly Bean, not only on ICS. Good Luck!!! :good:

The new AOSP camera isn't in AOSP yet, so you won't see it in any source-built CM roms.

You're probably using a WEP encryption on your router, change your router's encryption to WPA2 as it is much more secure. It's a known issue with AOSP builds right now that the phone does not want to connect to WEP encrypted networks

Oh that makes sense, thank you! While I'm at it, can I ask you if you're having constant data connection drop every 2 minutes or so? My 4g drops randomly and doesn't come back for a long time. Same goes for my cellular data, it constantly disconnects every 2 minutes.. Are you having this issue as well or is this only for me?
I'm not looking at the SD though.

Edit: used a different app. Figured it out.
I am having some major issues right now with cyanogenmod regarding the permissions for my filesystem
the stock filebrowser is telling me i need root access(which i have and have allowed to it) in my /storage/emulated/0/music/ folder to open my folder for breaking benjamin and linkin park
however theres another folder in there(skillet ) that has no problem opening
i checked the permissions for the files in the properties and they're all the same
i even tried rewriteing the owner of the file and it just resets it
i dont know what to do other than using AROMAFM and just reorganizing my entire music folder
this also happens in my downloads folder
im not even going to thing of using root browser though
just a few minutes before this, i tried to copy the music folder from another portion of my memory and it pasted the music folder inside of itself.....about 100 times, it was never-ending it nearly crashed my system, it started lagging horribly
does anyone have any information for me or can help me?
i can give screenshots upon request

As many of you may already know, PAC recently updated our source to the latest CM. In doing so, many bugs have been fixed, but also many of the features you have grown to love on PAC have yet to be updated. While this is going on, I will be making builds periodically, to test these features. If you want to be involved in this testing process, you have come to the right place!
I will post the builds on my AndroidFileHost account, to keep them from getting mixed in on Basketbuild.
Please report any bugs you have and I'll report them up higher.
Thank you in advance for your help in this process!

So, what I'm looking for people to do, is poke and prod the rom as much as possible. Test whatever features you can find, that type of thing. ALSO, if you had any major bugs in the past, test to see if they still exist now. If they do, let me know how to reproduce and if I can, I'll report it up.
Thanks for the help and understanding!
This is good and for less confusing . :silly:
Nice!!!!
Sweet will keep in sync if i can

Sweet.. I can't go a day without flashing stuff!!!
New build is up. Includes Hover.
Also, please read post #2, it's kind of a quick idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.
Thanks everyone!
OK so far..
1.. Netflix... Its working without the need of framework.. That's big!!
2. Play services seems to have that battery issue, does this build have that aokp play services fix?
3. Bluetooth NFC services are running even when Bluetooth is toggled off.. Same with omni switch.. Services running for few other things that are turned off.. Same with cyanogenmod account services.. Tbh not sure if that can be resolved though..
4. Like the new settings interface, clean..
Minor stuff
Initial setup is welcome to CM, I guess its based on CM so... It also asks location settings twice.. Default wallpaper is also CM.. Like I said minor things I noticed..
Max frequency is set to 1958… not sure if that's meant to be..
For those that wanted to help test but not sure if it has your favorite feature.. Here is a list of what's in it, if not here don't ask and like he said don't ***** about it..
As of 26th
Netflix fix
Omniswitch
Lock screen notifications
Voice+
Themes
Notification settings
Status bar settings
Recents panel settings
App privacy settings
PAC panel
Hover
Better performance and stability along with battery life.

Aside that definitely more stable now.. No FCs.

Yeah, #1 was a big one for me, lol.
#2, I'm not familiar.
Max freq, hmm. I use a custom kernel, so I didn't test that. Are you on a clean flash? No apps possibly messing with something? If so, can someone else confirm this for me?
As for the 27th build, bad download? If not I'll check the file from my end.

Heya.. I was on PA so I did clean factory flash and then wipe.. I always prefer to test stock kernel to help out better.
I downloaded it three times.. Same error..
Play services drain battery more since 4.3 so aokp had a fix for it as of 17… I assumed it might be in.. Then I realized you guys relocated from CM.. Doh..

Mine doesn't seem to be excessive. I'd say let run for a day or so and if it's still high, then Idk, lol. Which GAPPS did you use?

Hey guys, I quite enjoy pac-man, always have, I think I'm gonna jump in the band wagon here, I'll help test. I'll wait to see when new upload is up. Thanks guys.

Ok, sorry about that. I re-uploaded it. MD5 matches, so it should be good to go!
Sorry again!

That is excessive... Hahaha.. I use PA_gaps but problem is services..
Basically is a service within Google play services that keeps running.. Disabling location and awake, along with keep awake under privacy\advanced \play services, resolves it without negative consequences.. Improves your battery considerably.. Almost 30%..
Aokp recently fixed it.. Disabling nlp location reporter service with service Disabler app is also a good fix..
But obviously these are temporary.. But with these changes I get 6 hours of SOT.. Before I was barely getting 3 hours..
This is based on CM/CAF right? So why doesn't have it the lags which are present on CM itself? For example while playing hill climb racing on CM the movement hangs/stutters sometimes. On stock ROM and on this one it's good.

Working perfectly fine!! Hover is awesome to say the least.. Is it your doing or did they finally add it?

Hmm, I'll have to try that myself and see what happens. Could you explain more about the disabling location and awake? You don't lose location stuff?

Zeeshan is the person who ported it over to PAC, but it has yet to be merged.... I'm just picking it still. (I can't live without Hover....) There are a few code layout issues that remain, and I think I'm going to try to work on some tonight. No promises though.

Its something that got added with 4.3 that makes play services check your location every second to report it to Google apps. Problem is it keeps running in the background.. It doesn't alter anything at all when you disable keep awake or location.. No FCs or apps breaking down or anything.. Like I said its a temporary fix but it works.. Been doing it for awhile now with zero consequences..
Same with disabling services for it.. There is a thread here somewhere shows which google play services services are safe to disable with service Disabler app.. I highly suggest it, it improves your battery life considerably. N5 was awesome before 4.3 and this basically takes it back to that, right before play services update..
Aokp just updated their sources with a fix for it on 17th, and I tested it, was working fine..
Hover is awesome, but it's awesome rrr with peek..

Really nice so far. Theme engine is flawless so far and opened browser up for first time and it logged me right in almost instantly. Have had issues with that since first lollipop build went out.
I can't use any third party browser all the ones I try won't open they fail with weird errors.
Testing update
Everything seems pretty solid for a first build. I went from the 3-25 build of 5.0.2. To Pac roms the last couple days. To clean slate and fresh install this morning. Only thing i have is still no Netflix. Have tried uninstalling and a reboot. Install and a couple reboots. And there is no mute on calls. Which by no means are deal breakers for me. Also GPS is a little off however finds location pretty quickly. I use my LTE connection for all my net use. I average around 250-350gb per month so a daily driver is a must for me. Thanks for your hard work on this Wilson.
On a side note. I don't see the thanks button anymore. Am i missing something.

Did you try another reboot after installing Netflix?
Check this file /data/data/com.netflix.mediaclient/shared_prefs/nfxpref.xml:
Did you see this line before "</map>"?
<int name="nflx_player_type" value="10" />
If not, manually add this line...

Default CM file manager will do...change access mode to root in settings...
You can get a logcat for me to trace...It could be due to the same libc issue. Sorry no netflix in my country.
Other than Chrome force-closing, this seems to running well for me. My last week or two of 5.0 nightlies gave me a lot of trouble connecting to my home wifi, but this is not an issue here. I did wipe clean for this, whereas I was dirty flashing 5.0, so maybe that has something to do with it.
EDIT: Not sure if this would be ROM related, but I do not have an option within either of my Google accounts to synchronize my calendar. I can synchronize Gmail, App Data, Contacts, People, and Fit data, but that's all. I do not even have a greyed out option for calendar; it's simply not there.

Confirmed. 4/2 build is flawless. Everything works. FCS are gone. Other than missing MUTE in call everything is pristine.
Thank you!
I'm Going to have to give this another go. I reverted back to Alliance build 30 because of not receiving calls all of the time on a lot of the lollipop builds. And it is hit or miss as to weather I would receive a call and not rom specific.
