I'm running just stock rooted .19 build. Anyone know how to get rid of the arrows? I googled a few zips but they don't work on stock.

Any ideas from any of the devs?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Great you can flash roms. You do realize you are using 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 which ever you flashed last. Please tell me you don't think you are using both roms at the same time.
Hahaha yeah I know I'm not using them at the same time, I was on a 2.3.4 rom then I flashed a 2.3.3 rom, I didn't think u could go back and forth ,just one or the other.

Yeah i never knew you could do that cause I took the newest ota and I have hboot 1.50 and unlocked my phone through HTC
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Yeah some great Dev's here, cant wait to try out the 2.3.4 kernel when someone completes one!
No kidding seems like every week something new comes out
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Were you s-off before you took the ota?? You may be able to flash a 2.3.3 rom, but you won't be able to flash the kernel so the rom may not fully work. Most people that try find out wifi won't work along with other problems. The hboot 1.5 won't let you write to certain system partitions and the kernel is one of those.
Yeah I was s-off b4 I took the OTA, then I did the HTC unlock method when it finished it didn't reboot so I took the battery out and went into recovery and it said unlocked in the pink banner and s-off lol seems like I ghetto rooted my phone. Never had any problems flashing anything yet
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
That's why your able to flash older roms, you were already s-off. All others that started out with hboot 1.5 and used HTC's unlocker can't flash 2.3.3 roms and have everything work right because they can't install a 2.3.3 kernel. Since you were already s-off you must still have write capability to those locked partitions.
Well that makes sense thanks cruise for your info
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Have you been able to flash a 2.3.5 ROM. I see that some newer ROMs are being built on that?
Yeah I can flash 2.3.5 roms it will be sweet when they get sound working
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
You can with.a dual boot manager.

Homebase 2.1 with 4.2 update has been flawless for me. No issues like others have had with the stock releases.
Tried a couple of themes over it but they eventually cause minor issues. So left it bare and themed with different launchers.

Been running Imperium for a while now and very satisfied with it. Good speed and everything works. No 4G in my area so that is a non-issue for me.

I was keeping up with roms that did not include sense but since ICS with sense and 4g working came out I lost track of the senseless roms. Is any of them yet have 4g working?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
I'm pretty sure all the ones from the leak have 4g working. I've tried Myn's and Mean ROM and they both have 4g working. Just check the thread to see.

There aren't any aosp roms with working 4g. Or camera either. Scott does have a senseless version of the virgin mobile leak with everything working

I really want ics icons and looks like none of these roms have them.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
try checking themes and apps section?
i am sure there were some flashable zips to change the apps/icons to AOSP style

I've been using Cleanrom Dev Ed since it came out. It looks and works like AOSP with the exception of some menus. WiMax, 3D and camera all work.
It's as good as it's going to get for a while.
Ik this has already been fixed but I'm on mean Rom ics 2.4 and was wondering if there's a flashable fix so I can get my voicemails again? If not flashable its fine just need directions then thanks
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
The Rom has the vvm app built in and works fine for me on Sprint. Are you getting an error of some sort?
Sent from my ICS 3VO with Tapatalk 2
Nope it just won't receive them when I flash another rom they appear but I still would like to use mean Rom and not have to switch to a diff Rom
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
Maybe grab the apk from the Rom where it works and install it on Mean, overwriting the included one.

Just wondering if the Thunderbolt had to be activated before rooting or not.
Anyone know?
I plan on rooting one for my mother in law but she hasn't activated it yet for service.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Mine was rooted when I activated it. I ended up unrooting because there were problems with my activation unrelated to being rooted. Just makes sure you're on the latest firmware first.

No problem. The reason you should stick with the stock ruu is because if they need software info it will match. I doubt they will hut you never know.

I probably will just root it anyways. If something weird happens, I'll just unroot it and start over.

So it IS safe to root before activating?
Just double checking.

Yea. I remember on the Eris it wasn't possible to activate on anything but a stock rom. On this I'm not to sure so I would go with a sense 2.1 for sure.

I can say if you have verizon you might wanna wait on rooting even if you root but have a stock rom because i sat in their store over an hour and a half one day setting up a new sim card with a samsung stratosphere i rooted and it had the tweaked rom and stock rom and had to unroot cuz their computer couldnt connect to device right and finally after 8 new simcards i just unrooted used my backup of original factory firmware i took before flashing customized stock rom.... I know im a lil late on this but my advice is root it after its been activated...save yourself hassle and embarrassment knowing they are not supposed to help you when your device is rooted...

This is the reason I never go in the store. I've never had a problem activating a rooted phone. That is why I always suggest going back to a stock firmware though because cm roms and other aosp roms have trouble activating most of the time.
